I'm Myrddin Ignis Magus. I write when I feel the urge, what I feel like. I started fanfiction, inspired by Ruskbyte's Order of the Phoenix series, (though incomplete, Order of the Phoenix and Well of Shadows are two of my fave ever Harry Potter fanfictions). I won't claim to be as good as Ruskbyte, but I try, and my later stories/chapters are far superior to my early works.
I started out writing Harry Potter only as its what got my interest in writing fanfiction. I try to keep things as far from canon as I can because there is so much canon-fodder its not even funny. I've had 'reviewers' say to me your characters are OOC (out of character) when their past is completely different, or others saying that its not canon, so I have to ask whether they would like a link to the Harry Potter Ebooks on Amazon. Its odd how so many people want everything in canon even while reading a cross over with DC or Marvel.
I'm quite the hater of the lead character being led around by the short and curlies and just letting the so-called 'mentor' do so, giving lame excuses for things, 'like you'll be save with your family, Harry, I want you to have a childhood', when all I hear is insert evil laugh and twinkle mind-rape eyes 'I want to squish your self-confidence and laugh at your pain while your 'family' rip away your childhood and dignity, but I'll pretend like I give a dam'.
The lead characters can have support but preferably NOT from adults, but he/she should think for themselves, look beyond what everyone tells them, and stand up for their rights and freedom. Such as my second fandom, Naruto, him stupid and pissing himself with a limp penis too scared to get it up, afraid of being labelled a pervert. Naruto fics like that really bug the hell out of me. If I wanted to read something like that, I would read canon-Naruto.
Also, I'll write and read Twilight fanfiction, but will never use Edward or any male/female pairing for it
