akeala1089 I always get irritated when people change the tense in the same paragraph. I do it all the time, and I'm trying to get better. Oh, and people keep saying pail, as in a bucket, when they mean pale, as in lacking colour. I don't like that. At all.

Another thing I hate
More things I hate about fanfics is when someone writes one of a TV Show. And in this show, the lead male is a wimp and the lead female is tough, right?

Sometimes fanfic writers like to reverse the situation by making the lead wimpy male in their fanfics be the hero, and the tough leading female in their fanfics be the damsel in distress.

My guess is, people who write fanfics like this probably are woman haters, or hate the lead female because she's rejected the wimpy lead male all the time, and fans want them to be together. Or have a psychotic crush on the lead wimpy male and want him for themselves. That really pisses me off!


Anyway, I'm almost done with The Rone Wars.

KillerQueen There are only a few things that annoy me about fanfics.

* When all the characters fall in love with and have sex with all the other characters of the same gender no matter what the fic is or who the characters are (Fair enough if it's a character whose sexuality isn't defined in the original or if they are actually GLBT) But it bugs me when a character who has, in the original work been obviously hetero is suddenly gay (esp for the enemy) in a fic. (I'm bi myself before anyone thinks to call me homophobic)

* Excessive smut, I have no problem with erotic scenes if it's well written it can be really beautiful but when it's just really crude all the way through with no plotline to it I find it quite uncomfortable to read.

* Mary Sue's. nuff said lol. I like OC's in fan fics but I like them to be original- as in have a personality not just the girl who is excessively badass Nor excessively wimpish. or either has no friends or is liked by everyone a happy medium is always great. (I'm a little hypocritical with this I understand as my current OC is Mary Sue-ish at present but that's changing later on)

* This is probably just me but I find it a little annoying when people quote lyrics in stories cos it's just gonna seem out of place/confusing to the reader if they aren't familiar with that band or song.
