| Ryoryuu | The over-complication of powers. Okay, we all have people with special powers in at least one of our fics. This means that we had to decide what their powers were. In my most recent story, "The Fight of Misfortune", almost all of the major characters have a power. In the writing process, my co-writer, who remains anonymous, helped me decide just how powerful the powers should be, and what they are. Basically you need to have direct powers that do not confuse the reader. So keep it to the point. They can be elaborate, but don't get into extreme details. |
