Hello *bows*
And here I am, putting myself on another Fan fiction site because I have nothing better to do. sighs I have to say, The set up of this site is a tad confusing but the formating options for stories are better then FF.net though I think the best is MM.net so far.

Ithilwen Yes. It's awesome. Are you telling me you've never entered the annual Bigass Fanfiction Contest at mediaminer?

They recently switched admins for the contest this year and forgot to include comedies (sigh).

I'm finding it depends on the fandom which site is best. MediaMiner doesn't have a place for mine, AFF gets ten zillion hits and no reviews, here I get very few hits but frequent reviews (admittedly from the same 3-4 people, but it's enough to make this very noob writer feel warm and fuzzy).

Some people hate the ratings system on ficwad, others love it. We'll see where you fall! I happen to like it; the ratings system elsewhere is so strangely random; here one has at least some clue what people's first impression of a piece is, and how they're taking it (funny/sad/sexy/boring) even if they don't bother to write a full-fledged review.

The biggest advantage of ficwad over FF.net is you're not going to get stories censored, deleted, etc.

Ithilwen FFnet doesn't have a rating system, only a review system. I've already run across one newbie who got confused about that.

RATINGS: OOC, Predictable, Boring, Mary Sue, Train Wreck, Cliche, Insightful, Exciting, Hot, Original, Ambiance, Funny etc. (Anonymous)

REVIEWS: [Write in whatever the crud you want.] (Signed or anonymous at reviewer's discretion.)

Mediaminer is a site just for anime/manga fandom. It has one Non-Anime category for all the HP, LoTR, X-Files, whatever...
