Shameless Self Promotion
Well, with the comments on another thread, someone had to do it, so I will. This is a thread to post links to your story you would like read. That way, you can leave the other threads to recommend someone else'e stories. Pretty neat, huh? So, jump in and crow about your piece.

This is a side-story from a larger round-robin series over at Improfanfic.com: http://www.improfanfic.com/faq/

The concept is: in a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic world, Otakuland, home of a band of anime fans/worshippers, gets destroyed. The story talks of the experiences of one of the squads who survived.

It was my first attempt to seriously write in the first person perspective, so I'm a bit proud of this one.

MarkPoa The entire series is a parody of otaku culture. If you're interested in the round robin series, just a warning: there's quite a bit of soapbox involved. :)

My work is an omake or side-story, set during the events of the main round-robin storyline. I have fond memories of that round-robin series as it was one of the first I wrote for and the end results was pretty... well, weird.

A crossover between (new) Dr Who and Stargate SG-1, this is me doing a lot of work to get two guys to kiss without the story itself being slash. Oh, and a lot of playing around with timelines, which rarely seems to happen in Dr Who stories despite the entire series being about time travel.

This is a story about Life on Mars, quite a young, and, on this site, very small fandom. Again, this is about time-travel, in a way, but viewed from a much more psychological perspective.

In this fic the main character (Sam Tyler) wakes up from the coma during which he has been experiencing life as it was 33 years in the past. Now he has to deal with getting back on his feet, and with the changes that the time in a coma have caused in him. And how unreal was that coma-world, really?

helluin Okay, this is utterly cheesy, and I feel stupid about self-promotion, especially on a piece of erotica.

But the smut isn't really the point-- I do plenty of that which isn't worth promoting. I just had a bit of inspiration after looking at a lovely bit of artwork, and (I hope) managed to catch the beauty of a moment that most people experience in their lives: "look at the beautiful person in my bed." A bit more poignant than usual since the viewer, in this case, knows they'll soon be separated forever by events beyond their control.
