I'm going through the same thing with two of my stories but the one I just started now is controlling my fingers faster than my mind. I think you should make her vision a bit blurry but not to the point she's completely blind. I think it'd be sort of cliche if there was a strain in the relationship and they seem to love each other too much. Otherwise I'm loving both stories.
