This was a very interesting story. At first, it seemed strange and slightly unrealistic to me that purebloods would settle their issues in this way. However, thinking over it, it does seem like a very archaic and ancient tradition, which would appeal to the Slytherins. You did a good job fleshing out the situation in such a short amount of space. Now you've got me wondering why Severus went back on the Slytherin tradition-- why he chose to change sides. Great job!
