Review for Morning Cigarette

Morning Cigarette

I've a friend with the same... tone to her writing. And I've a great respect for her abilities - to the point of being insanely jealous whenever she writes anything. She has a certain lack of terror that I seem steeped in, that allows her to give voice to grit and not care one bit for if the characters want a happily ever after or not. But it's not the sarcasm I've seen so often in others' writings, but instead, a seemingly strong desire to dive into the very heart of the personal issues displayed in every story she writes.

I don't know, truth be told, if she's that courageous. It just seems that way from where I stand.

And while it was a cute, accustomed line "Wait.. I ddin't MEAN what I said about my best friend" you still have managed to completely turn it around to a gritty, fearful act, rather than a precursor to a fluffy story of love denied.

Whatever the outcome, it's a delight and I look so forward to reading more!
