I'm a nitpick. So I'd also like to point out this line:
It's almost masochistic, the way I like to receive my own pain; I'm like a sadist, but only to myself.
A sadist to yourself IS a masochist...in which case, it wouldn't be ALMOST masochistic, it would be masochistic. I advise you to write something else there.
