This is just wonderful. I love this a lot. I've seen a lot of Franks, but yours is among one of my favorites. Your Frank just seems like the kind of person that loves Mikey like he'll never see again. He loves Mikey with all his heart because Mikey hasn't done a thing to deserve what he gets every day, and seeing someone you love get hurt like that hurts you too, makes you cry. He seems like the kind to say," I wish I could take this away from you." because he knows what it's like to hurt like that, but what's more, he knows what it's like to hurt because the person you love is hurt. I don't know if you can tell, but I am a huge fan of your writing.
