Argh I can't work whether I'm happy with Bert and Gerard together or not! One second I hate Bert, the next I like him. One second I get annoyed at Gerard, the next I like him.

I'm kinda pleased that you aren't sure about Bert and Gerard; I was aiming for Bert to be the kind of 'grey-area' character.
