It's funny, I can almost picture this being why canon Hermione chose Ron. She decided that her Harry was gone, replaced by that whiny, useless, dependant, little twat. If she wanted a pissy, jealous, prat, she'd go with Ron, he at least knew how to make it work in his favor. Her Harry was the inspirational young man who taught her defense and led six students against Death Eaters. The pale imitation that returned from the Dursleys was Ginny's Harry.
