I feel a bit of pity for Wormtail at this point and time. When his involvement in the deaths of Harry's family is revealed, there's going to be a fair number of powerful fighters after his ratty hide.
Also, curiosity leads to questions on what would happen if Nibiki decides to get involved in British Magical Commerce. I can picture her making a mint on the events at Hogwarts. Then again, she might be the first to see the books and stories that were released before Harry started school.
One thing that does not make sense to me is the line about Magic users. I can see the argument for the Wrecking Crew being seen as magical, but only the Geezers have shown any healing abilities so far. And wouldn't healing be one of the first forms of magic discovered?
I've seen another Ranma/HP crossover on FF.net that actually had a morbid explanation for the lack of organized magical community:
1) The schools and primary shopping center were in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. (Atomic Bombs blasted right thru any and all wards.)
2) The Government Center was hit by the Firebombs during the Tokyo Firebombing. (The sheer intensity of the fire found a hole and burned their Ministry away.)
3) In the quest to recover a Founder's artifact, Riddle destroyed the remaining Refugee Camps that the Japanese Magical survivors had gathered to. (This was used in the fic to explain why Ranma & Ryoga were sent by their families to assist Harry against Voldemort. They both lost an ancestor to that attack.)
The reason that the other fic went into so much detail like that was that so Ranma & Company's actions not getting a response could be explained away. (Two Chapters of explanation)
I look forward to the next installment and am actually glad to hear that Ukyo is in the lead. (Her fighting style and Ryogo's seemed to be very compatible in the Manga, but not in the anime.) The protectiveness towards Harry from Ryoga was frightening. I honestly think that a few members of the Wrecking Crew needed new pairs of shorts after that.
What would be the reaction at Hogwarts if Harry shows up AFTER undergoing the Breaking Point Training?
1)Bludgers would lose a lot of effectiveness.
2)That troll would be funny, so would Fluffy.
3)Harry might survive a Hermione-Hug in better shape than anyone.
I wonder if the Castle can auto-repair itself from that kind of damage.
