FicWad: fresh-picked original and fan fiction

Hi there! It's Jinxeh, who wrote "X-Men 3: OMG WTF?".

I'm not logged in and can't remember my password to save my life (shows you how much I use my ficwad account, eh?) so I figured I'd respond to you here.

I'd say that if you really want to start in a good place with the comics, go to your local Borders or Waldenbooks and see if they have the first issue of Ultimate X-Men; it's not the main X-Men universe, but it's one of the most recent series' they've started involving the original characters. If they don't have it, you could always ask the people there to order it for you; they'll call when it comes in, and you'll go pick it up.

I wouldn't suggest starting with recent copies of "Uncanny X-Men" or even regular X-Men; there's too much backstory that people who haven't read the early issues just won't understand.
