I'd just finished reading the last volume of Demon Diary when I found this fic, so I have to say that it was absolutely perfect. Young Raenef IV as you have portrayed him is just... utterly as I would have imagined him being. That ruthless greed for power, and his cunning, his coldness and cool political calm. Beautifully done. The fight scenes were very well done as well and your portrayal of Eclipse as a younger demon... His ambition, his drive, what had held him to Raenef IV. Wonderful. And Krayon as well, his "gift" to Raenef and their banter. This was truly excellent.
