!!!!!Chapter 12!!!!!
Kandy sat in her room playing with her toys. She was occupied for a while until she noticed that her mommy hasn't come in yet. She got up leaving her toys laying on the floor and slowly walked her way back into the bathroom where she last seen her mom. She looked in seeing Hilary lying on the floor with her cell phone flipped up beside her, “mama?” she said walking up her,” mama?” she said once again but Hilary didn't respond. Kandy sat on the floor by Hilary,” mama!” she yelled as she started crying
Kandy stood up still crying and left the room going and looking around to see if her grandma was home, ”grandma!” she cried as she ran through all of the rooms. She was in the kitchen when she heard the front door open. She ran out into the hallway still crying as she looked to see who it was. Billy ran into the house looking around seeing Kandy standing in front of him,” baby come here” he said picking her up.
Kandy looked at him still crying, “dada... mama!” she cried pointing upstairs
Billy looked at her and started running up the stairs. He ran into the bathroom and saw Hilary lying on the floor, “shit!” he said setting Kandy down on the floor. He ran up to Hilary,” Hilary? Hilary!” he said shaking her but she didn't respond. Billy put his hand in his pocket fumbling as he took his phone out dialing 911. He waited as the phone rang and someone finally picked but before the lady could say anything Billy spoke, ”oh my god we need an ambulance here right away... my fiancé isn't breathing that well... I... I don't know what’s wrong just please get here!” he said trying not to cry. He set the phone down after he gave them the address and grabbed Kandy who was still bawling, ”shh baby its going to be okay” he said trying to calm her down and help Hilary at the same time.
Billy picked up his phone once again dialing a familiar number. He waited as someone picked up, ”Tiff you need to get here ASAP. Please just get here. Come to Hilary's right now.” he said hanging up before she could ask any questions.
Billy hugged Kandy and grabbed Hilary's hand looking at her, “Hilary please stay here... don't leave me please... I need you.. I really do. Please don't leave me” he said as tears fell down his face
The ambulance arrived and ran into the bathroom with a stretcher making Billy and Kandy leave the room so they could check Hilary over and help her. Billy hugged Kandy crying as Tiffany ran through the door, “Billy oh my god what happened? What’s going on?” she asked running up to him
“Somethings wrong with Hilary. She’s not responding and I don't know what happened...” he said trying to hold back tears, “please take Kandy home with you” he said handing her to Tiffany
Tiffany grabbed Kandy looking at Billy with confusion, “is Hilary okay?” she asked
Billy shook his head no as they brought Hilary out on the stretcher. They were pumping oxygen into to make sure she didn't stop breathing again. They took her out of the house as one of the guys stayed behind looking at Billy, “we don't now what’s exactly wrong with her but as of right now she’s okay. We have to get her to the hospital and hook her up to a breathing machine. We can tell you more once we get her to the hospital and checked over completely”
Billy and Tiffany thanked the guy before he left. Billy headed straight to the hospital and Tiffany went to take Kandy to Billy’s mom and called Hilary's mom letting her know what happened.
((At The Hospital))
Billy sat in the waiting room as Tiffany and Hilary's mom walked in. Tiffany sat next to Billy, “Billy what happened?” she asked
Billy looked up at her, “I... I don't know what exactly happened...” he said looking down at the ground trying to put the puzzle together of everything that just happened, “I was sitting at home and my cell phone rang and I looked and it said it was Hilary. And I picked it up and Hilary was bawling and I couldn't understand what she was saying” he said looking up at Tiffany and Hilary's mom, “she kept saying she did something stupid and that she was scared and she needed me to get to her. I asked her what she did but all she said to me was that she loved Kandy and me and that she didn't mean to hurt us and that she was sorry. And before I could ask her anything else I heard her phone hit the floor.” he said pausing trying to hold back his tears
Tiffany rubbed his back trying to comfort him as Billy continued, “I knew something was wrong after I heard it the phone hit the floor because she didn't say anything so I jumped in my car and headed straight to the house and when I got there Kandy was downstairs bawling her eyes out. She kept saying mama and kept pointing upstairs. So I went upstairs with her and ran into the bathroom and...” he paused as tears filled his eyes, “I saw Hilary lying on the floor... and she wasn't breathing that well so I called 911...”
Tiffany tried holding back her tears, “Billy it’s going to be okay...”
“I don't want to lose her. I love Hilary and I don't want to lose her again... she’s my life... I just don't want her to leave me” he said as he started crying
Hilary's mom hugged Billy as she tried holding her own tears back, “nobody does darling” she whispered holding Billy
Joel ran into the waiting room, ”oh my god I heard what happened and I got here as soon as I could! How’s Hilary? Is she okay?” he asked looking at them for answers
Tiffany looked up at Joel sniffing back tears, “we don't know yet Joel. No one has been out there yet to tell us”
Joel sat next to Tiffany and pulled her into a hug, “I hope to God she’s okay...”
An hour passed and Dr. Greene finally walked into the living room. Everybody sat up looking at him. Dr. Greene smiled looking at Hilary's family and friends, “Hilary is doing wonderful. We almost lost her but as of right now she’s functioning normally. We have her on machines just in case anything goes wrong. She’s not fully awake she’s in a minor coma right now and all we have to do is wait for her to wake up”
Joel looked up watching him, “can she hear us if we talk to her?” he asked
Dr. Greene nodded, “yes she can hear you but she just cant respond. We would like everybody to talk to her and hopefully she'll wake up out of her coma. If you see any movement at all report it to one of us. And yes you guys may go see her”
“Can you tell us what happened to her?” Billy asked
“Well, we found three different medications in her system that she took together which you're not supposed to. We think she tried killing herself and was almost successful if it wasn't for someone finding her in time. So if she snaps out of her coma we will be putting her on suicide watch to make sure she doesn't do it again.” Dr. Greene said as one of the nurses came out
“Dr. Greene, Hilary is showing some progress. We saw movements in her fingers while we were talking to her” the nurse said smiling
Billy stood up looking at the nurse, “can you please take us to her room”
The nursed smiled, “of course” she said and turned around walking down the hallway with Billy, Joel, Tiffany, and Hilary's mom behind her. The nurse finally stopped in front of a door, “here is her room”
“Thank you” Billy said opening up the door after the nurse left. He walked in seeing Hilary lying on the bed hooked up to a whole bunch of machines. Seeing her like this made his heart break even more. He walked in taking a seat next to the bed. He put her hand in his and held it as he examined her. Her skin got paler since a couple hours ago when he found her. Tears welled in his eyes as he watched her lying helplessly on the bed.
Tiffany and Joel walked up sitting next to Billy trying to comfort him as Hilary's mom sat on the other side of the bed holding onto Hilary's other hand. They all sat in silence watching Hilary praying that she would just wake up.
((2 Days Later))
Two days passed and Hilary kept showing some progress. Her father flew in from Detroit to come see her and to make sure she would be okay. Everybody went out to grab something to eat but Billy stayed behind. He didn't want to leave her.
Billy smiled slightly running his hand along her cheek and moved some hair out of her face, “Hilary baby, I know you can hear me. You need to wake up darling. I love you so much... just promise me you wont leave me...” he said whispering as he watched her. He grabbed her hand bringing it up to his face kissing her hand. He placed her hand back down on the bed still holding onto her hand, “the doctors say you're supposed to be waking up soon. So please Hilary fight your way through the darkness and come back to us...” he said softly
((A Couple Hours Later))
A couple hours passed and the whole Martin and Mathers family was back into the room. They all sat around telling their favorite stories about Hilary. Tiffany looked up a the families smiling, “my favorite story that I have was when Billy asked Hilary out. Remember that day Joel?” she asked looking at him
Joel nodded smiling, “oh yes how could I forget? She came running up to us freaking out. We were standing in the hall and the girl next to my locker had her locker door open and Hilary wasn't paying attention and she smacked right into it. It was pretty funny” he said laughing
Hannah smiled laughing along with the others, “I remember Hilary calling me up and saying how much she liked Billy and how she wanted to marry him! She only was dating him for a week and she knew she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. It was really cute. I wish I had it recorded”
Billy smiled looking at the others, “yeah its amazing how we ended up together. I never thought she would forgive me for my stupidness but she did. Thank god she did because I love this woman and I want to marry her”
“We all want that to happen Billy” Benji said smiling
Everybody smiled watching Billy as they kept telling their stories about Hilary. A half hour later everybody left to go eat except for Billy and Hannah. The both of them didn't want to leave Hilary. Hannah looked at her twin sister watching her. She had this weird feeling in her. She looked up at Billy, “Billy I think she’s going to be waking up soon. I have this weird feeling...”
“I hope she does. I love her so much...” he said watching Hannah.
Hannah continued studying her sister, “I’m guessing she'll be awake in the next hour. I just know it...” she said grabbing Hilary's hand, “I know you probably think I'm crazy but I just have a feeling”
Billy nodded, “lets go get something to drink quick” he said standing up as Hannah did as well. The two of them got up walking out of the room to go buy something to drink
