Alecia and David are sitting on the couch, watching a movie.
It’s their 4 year-anniversary and David’s parents were out of town.
So they had the house all to themselves and David had planned a romantic evening.
They’re together since they are 12 and they have met at school.
But now the movie is coming to an end and Alecia knows what’s coming.
“Wanna go upstairs, to my room?” David asks, blushing.
Alecia knows she should say no, but she can’t.
“Sure.”
So they go upstairs, walking hand in hand.
“I love you so much,” David says before they go into his bedroom.
“I love you too.”
They go into the bedroom and lie down onto the bed.
A couple of minutes later, David’s shirt is off and he’s putting his hand under Alecia’s shirt.
But when he touches her breast, Alecia starts to cry.
“What’s wrong baby? Am I going too fast?” he asks worried.
“I have to go, I can’t, I just can’t. Sorry.”
Alecia jumps off the bed and runs downstairs.
She grabs her purse and storms out of the house.
Her parents are already asleep when she comes home and she goes to her bedroom.
She quickly takes her clothes off and she stand in front of the mirror.
And even though she has a body every other girl would be jealous of, she cries every time she sees it.
She quickly puts on her pajama and goes to bed.
But she can’t sleep, and she keeps crying ‘till 3 o’clock.
The next morning she wakes up with a major headache.
Alecia goes downstairs, where her parents are having breakfast.
“Want toast too?” her mom asks.
“No, I have to go see David.”
“How was it yesterday?” her dad asks.
“It was fun, he made me dinner and after that we watched a movie. But I gotta go now.”
“Okay, have fun.”
Alecia goes upstairs, quickly puts on her jeans and an old t-shirt and puts some gel in her short hair.
When she arrives at David’s house, she gets really nervous and she feels like she’s gonna be sick.
But after a couple of minutes she’s less nervous and she rings the doorbell.
After a couple of seconds David opens the door and he looks really surprised.
“Hey baby, are you okay?” he asks and he gives her a kiss.
She walks into the hallway and gives her boyfriend a hug.
Alecia wants to answer, but before she can say anything, she burst out in tears.
They go into the living room and they sit down on the sofa.
“There’s something I have to tell you,” Alecia whispers when she’s a bit calmed down.
“Okay, you know you can tell me anything, right? Did I do something wrong?”
“It isn’t you, it’s me.”
“Okay babe, tell me.”
“Well, I ehm, ehm, you know how I’m not very girly, right?” Alecia asks, feeling like she’s gonna pass out.
“I think you’re very girly, but I know what you mean.”
“That’s because ehm, I ehm, ehm, ehm…”
“Are you gay?” David asks.
“No, well, no.”
“Then what is it Al? Are you breaking up with me?” David asks with tears in his eyes.
“No, I, I, I wanna be a guy.”
She whispers the last part as fast as she can.
“Wow, I had not expect that.” David says, completely shocked.
“I’m so sorry, I know you hate me now. And you think I’m gross and you feel like I’ve used you and you must feel gross because you kissed someone who wants to be a guy,” Alecia rambles.
“That’s not true. I love you, no matter what.”
“But I don’t just want to be a guy, I will be a guy, as soon as I can tell my parents.”
Alecia keeps crying and David grabs her hand.
“I will always be there for you, whether you’re a girl or a guy.”
“I just, that’s why I couldn’t do anything yesterday. I didn’t want you to sleep with someone who feels like she is a guy.”
“Oh baby, I wish you would’ve told me sooner.”
“So you could’ve broken up with me sooner?” Alecia cries.
“I… I don’t know, okay. I still have to get used to this, you only told me a couple of minutes ago, I’m still in shock.”
“I knew this was a bad idea. Forget it, I never wanna see you again!”
Alecia runs out of the house and goes home.
Her parents aren’t there and she goes to her bedroom.
For the rest of the day she stays there and she ignores her parents.
But at eleven o’clock, someone knocks on her door.
“Go away!”
“It’s me!”
“David?” Alecia asks surprised.
“Yeah, can I come in?”
“Ehm, sure…”
David comes into the room and sits down next to Alecia.
“I love you so much, and I am not gonna let you go through this alone. I want to be your boyfriend no matter what.”
Alecia starts to cry from happiness and David gets tears in his eyes too.
“But, you’re straight, and I will be a guy.”
“Well, I never liked putting people in boxes. Okay, I have never liked a guy before, but things can change, right?”
“You have no idea how much I love you,” Alecia smiles.
David smiles too and gives her a long kiss.
“I love you too… ehm…”
“Alex, I want my name to be Alex.”
“I love you, Alex,” David smiles and he kisses her again.
Their kisses get more intense and within a couple of minutes both of their shirts and pants are on the floor.
“Wait, stop, my parents…”
“They left when I got here,” David quickly says and he kisses her again.
They keep kissing until David’s knee hits a sensitive spot and Alecia moans into his mouth.
“I’m ready for it,” she says, completely out of breath from their making out session.
“ Ehm, how do you… Do you want me… Like a…” David stutters uncomfortably.
“What do you prefer?”
“I guess I’ll have to get used to you being a guy, so as a guy I think…” David blushes.
“I have ehm, lube and ehm, condoms in my drawer,” Alecia blushes.
“Okay, I’ll get it…”
David hesitates, but eventually gets up from the bed and grabs the lube and a condom.
“Are you sure?” David asks.
“Definitely, are you?”
“Definitely, I love you so much.”
David gives her a long kiss.
That night they both have sex for the first time.
The next morning they both get woken up by Alecia’s mom.
“Good morning,” her mom says all excited.
“Mom!” Alecia says irritated.
“What?”
“Some privacy please.”
“Oh come on, you’re 16, and you two are together for 4 years already, like I didn’t know this day was coming. I’m happy for you.”
Alecia looks really embarrassed, and David can’t help but to laugh.
“Mom, can you please leave? We’ll be downstairs in a couple of minutes.”
“Okay honey,” her mom says and she looks proud of her.
“Mom!”
“Sorry, I’m already leaving.”
After her mother has left the room, David starts to laugh.
“For a second there, I thought she was gonna get the camera and take a picture.”
“Oh shut up.”
“Make me,” David laughs.
Alecia gives him a long kiss and smiles.
“Are you okay? I mean, from last night.” David asks.
“Actually it hurts like hell. But I loved it. You have no idea how much it meant to me and how much you mean to me.”
“I will always be there for you, you know that, right?”
Alecia nods and gives him another kiss.
“Come on, let’s got downstairs before my mom thinks we’re doing it again.”
They both get dressed and go downstairs.
“Mom, get that look off your face, please,” Alecia sighs when she sees her mom standing there.
“Sorry, I’m just so happy for you.”
David has to try hard not to laugh.
“Where’s dad?”
“He had to go to the doctor, for his back again.”
“Oh, ok.”
After they’ve had breakfast, they go to the park.
They sit down under a tree and Alecia lays her head down on David’s lap.
“When are you gonna tell your parents?”
“I don’t know. In a way I wanna do it now, just to get over with it. But in another way they see me as their little girl and I don’t wanna hurt them.”
“You won’t hurt them by being happy. And if you’re happier when you’re a guy, then I know they would want you to be a guy.”
“I guess…”
“Tell me if you’re ready, okay? Then I’ll go with you if you want to.”
“Thank you so much.”
“Like I already said, I’ll always be there for you, no matter what.”
“I’m so proud of you. You are so strong and you are willing to date a guy for me.”
“Well, the guy is you,” David laughs.
“But still. I couldn’t wish for a better boyfriend.”
“Me neither,” David says with a big smile on his face.
Alecia gets tears in her eyes and sits up.
She gives her boyfriend a kiss and stands up.
“Where are you going?”
“Come on, I have to tell my parents something.”
“Really? Are you sure you’re ready?”
“Definitely. And if they’re mean about it, I’ll still have you.”
They walk home, hand in hand.
“Mom?”
“In the kitchen!”
They go to the kitchen and see that Alecia’s dad is there too.
“Mom, dad, I’ve got something to tell you.”
“You’re not pregnant, are you?” her dad asks.
“No dad, I’m not pregnant.”
“What is it honey?” her mom asks.
“Well, I ehm, well, I’m not that girly, right?”
“No, but there’s nothing wrong with that,” her mom quickly says.
“I know, but… I ehm, but ehm, and ehm…”
Alecia starts to cry and David wraps his arms around her.
“Want me to tell them?” David asks.
Alecia nods.
“Al doesn’t feel like she’s a girl, she feels like she’s a guy. And she wants to be a guy.”
Alecia’s parents just stand there in total shock and don’t say anything for a couple of minutes.
“Wow,” is all her mom can say.
“I’m sorry,” Alecia sobs and David holds her tighter.
“Don’t be honey. We’ll love you no matter what. And we’ll do whatever we can to help you,” her father says.
“I don’t need help, I’m not sick.”
“I meant that we’ll get you help to make you… ehm, a man.”
“Thank you daddy.”
Alecia runs to her dad and gives him a big hug.
But then she looks at her mom, who’s crying now.
“Wanna go shopping?” she asks after a couple of minutes.
“Oh mom, thank you so much.”
She gives her mom a big hug and smiles.
Then she looks at David and sees that he’s crying.
She gives him a hug and kisses him.
“Are you two still…?” her mom asks.
“Yeah…” Alecia says, not sure about what to say.
“I’ll love Al no matter what. Whether she’s a guy or a girl, I’ll always be there for her.”
By that time they’re all crying.
“That’s so sweet,” Alecia’s mom says.
“There’s one more thing…”
“Yes?” her mom asks worried.
“I wanna be called Alex from now on.”
“Of course honey, whatever you want.”
“Thank you so much, all three of you. You have no idea how much it means to me.”
“You’re welcome, remember we’ll always love you, okay?”
Alecia nods and smiles.
“Well, go on, you get ready to go shopping for some new clothes. Then I’ll make an appointment with the doctor.”
“Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Alecia gives her parents a hug and goes upstairs with David.
“Your parents rock.”
“I know, I am so happy.”
She gives her boyfriend a kiss and a big hug.
“See, everything is gonna be alright.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too, Alex.”
