  One can only imagine the horror that occurred that night.
  
  I bet Pince won't have to hush anyone from now on. The Library will be as quiet as the grave -- no student will dare raise their voice above a whisper for fear of retribution.

  Well, now, that's most certainly an incentive for turning your checked out books in when they're due. I'd say Tom found out that it's always the little things that trip you up. No doubt Madame Pince is going to get lots more respect from now on; and I suspect some long overdue books are suddenly going to appear from all sorts of families where they "just happened to be left in the trunk when I left"; be amsuing of the Malfoy library suddenly relocated to the Restricted Section of Hogwarts Library.

  Brilliant, as usual. I especially like how you tied Madam Pince's access to all the texts, dark and otherwise, in the Hogwarts library, to account for her power(s).
  I've championed little-used characters in most of my stories, but somehow the librarian got by me.
  Too quiet, I guess.

  - this came from two sources, first I wanted a funny way of offing Tom, second I've read I don't know how many fics where Harry gains power via reading books... So I figured is reading a few books will power you up, then the Librarian must be a force to be reckoned with...
