He really does look beautiful, I thought as I watched my love run around on stage, playing the song he knew I loved.

“Make us poster boys for your scene
But we are not making an acceptance speech
I found the safest place to keep all our old mistakes
Every dot com's refreshing for a journal update.”

I sang along softly, wishing that I could be closer. He turned his head in my direction, catching my eye. He mouthed the words 'I love you' before walking over to Patrick, putting his head on his shoulder.

I turned around to reach into the cooler for a bottled water, feeling parched. Someone rushed past me, almost knocking me into the cooler. I figured that it was one of the crew, so I didn't think much of it.

Turning around, I saw that a girl had got on stage. Another fan girl, I thought, as she neared Pete.

What shocked me was when she snatched up Pete suddenly, throwing him over her shoulder. She took off, running faster than any normal human.

“Pete!” I cried out as she began to get farther and farther away. I shouldn't have been surprised. I knew that Beckett would send out one of his whores to capture Pete someday and Pete knew it too. I just didn't think he'd be cruel enough to do it on our anniversary.

Patrick sprinted across stage to me, his face just as worried as mine.

“Patrick, we have to go after him!” I yelled at Patrick, tugging on his hand.

He nodded, running with me. “I know, he's strong, but he's practically defenseless against Beckett's 'puppets'”.

We hopped into Patrick's Honda, and I sniffed out Pete's scent, directing Patrick in the right direction.

~Natasha~
I threw Peter in the back of the small airplane, keeping him tied up. Though I really didn't need an airplane, Master Beckett didn't want me to attract attention. Pete muffled something that sounded like an insult through the masking tape on his mouth and I slapped him hard.

“Shut up, Wentz, no use in calling for help now.” I growled, then I got into the pilot seat of the plane and took off, making the plane go as fast as it would allow.

Despite my request, Pete continued to scream things at me, the muffling sound giving me a large headache.

“Jesus fucking Christ! If I pull off the tape, will you please be a little quieter?”

He nodded slowly, though the anger didn't leave his dark eyes.

I sighed and ripped the tape off, making him hiss at me.

“What does Beckett want?” He growled and I instantly regretted pulling off the tape.

Turning my attention back to the black sky, I answered him. “Master wanted to speak to you. That's all he told me.”

“Bullshit,” He spat. “You know why.”

I shook my head, feeling the headache spread. “No, Pete, I honestly-” My cell phone rang, causing me to jump. I looked at the caller ID.

“Well, that's Master now. I guess I could ask him now.” I said, and I opened the phone.

“Hello, Master.” I said sweetly.

I could here Pete making gagging noises in the background, but I ignored him.

“Hello, my pet, did you capture Peter?”

I grinned, feeling satisfactory. “Yes, Master, he's sitting here right now,” Pete growled, telling me to hurry up. “Oh, but I was wondering, what exactly do you want him for?”

“I was wondering when you were going to ask that.” He cleared his throat.

“Do you know who changed Peter?” He questioned.

I shook my head as if he could see me. “No, Master, I don't.”

“Well, it was me. I saw him in a pizza shop one day with that friend of his, Patrick, I believe. And he looked beautiful, absolutely stunning.” I felt a stab of jealousy, but I let him continue. “His blood, it smelled intoxicating, and I just wanted to sink my teeth into his neck and drink every drop. But I didn't. I could see the potential, what he could be.”

“So, what did you do after that, Master?” I asked.

He chuckled. “Well, I went into his mind, so I could somehow get him away from Patrick. Which, by the way, he's very fond of him. Saw many fantasies with him involved.... But anyway, I took a hold of his mind, making him tell Patrick that he had to go home.

“So, as he was opening up the door to his house, that's when I pounced. He blacked out and I carried him back to the mansion, putting him in my bedroom on my bed. I left him, thinking that I had a few hours before he woke up. But when I came back, he was gone.

He coughed. “You see, my pet, he was supposed to be in the position you're in. The special one compared to the others, the one that rarely left my side, but he's not. And I want him back.”

I tried to hide the hurt in my voice. “So, if he didn't escape, I'd just be one of the other pets?”

“Well, probably, depending how 'good' he was.” He said, a suggestive tone in his voice.

“But what happens now that he's back?” I asked, fearing that he'd kick me to the side.

He chuckled. “Don't worry, Tasha, you're safe. No one could ever take your place, my dear.”

I sighed in relief, a smile returning to my face. “Okay, Master, thank you.”

“Is that all you need to know?” He asked me.

“No, I'm good. I'll be there fairly soon.”

“Okay, well, I better go, I have an 'appointment' with Brendon.” He said before hanging up the phone.

I sighed, feeling instantly jealous at the mention of Master's new boy toy.

Pete stared at me, his eyes still filled with rage. “So, what did he say?”

~Kate~
“We need to pick up Erika.” I said frantically. Though I really didn't want to waste time, we really could use her right now.

He nodded. “Yeah, she could help protect us from anything she could throw at us.”

Erika was not only one of my best friends, but she also was also a genius. She's the one who helped Patrick invent the vampire gun that he carried now in his pocket.

I quickly called her before we reached her house, telling her that we were on our way. We waited outside for only a minute before Erika hopped in the backseat, carrying several of her inventions.

“Okay, where are they at now, Kate?” She asked, her just as concerned as I was.

I sniffed the air, catching the sweet smell of Pete. “He's near... but he's not on ground. She must've taken him up in a plane or something.”

“Okay, why didn't the girl just fly?” Patrick asked, obviously confused. I knew he wished he was a vampire too, but he didn't know the half of it. That's why Pete never gave into his pleas and neither did I.

“I'm assuming that she didn't want to attract attention to herself. But, how are we gonna find a plane?”

He grinned. “Well, I guess this a good time to try out my new invention.” He said, pressing a button on the dash.

Suddenly, the car no longer touched the ground and there were wings on either side.

“What the fuck, you made it a flying car?” I asked, still a little frightened from the sudden take-off.

He nodded, the smile still plastered on his face. “Yep, and I'm glad I got to try it out. It seems to be successful.”

“Whatever, just go faster and catch up with them. They're going west right now.”

Patrick changed the direction it was going and sped up. To out advantage, he made it faster than a normal plane.

Soon, we caught up to them, only ten feet behind.

~Natasha~
“Shit.” I muttered, realizing that they were actually catching up. I could smell their scent when they were a few miles back, but I didn't think they'd catch up that quickly.

I tried to go faster, but they somehow kept getting closer.

“What's wrong, worried that they'll catch up?” Pete asked, a smug tone in his voice.

I turned around quickly slapped him across his face. “Shut your fucking trap.” I growled.

Thinking quickly, I started shooting the missiles that Master supplied me with before I left.

~Kate~
Patrick dodged the missile that was suddenly shot at us.

“Fuck!” I yelled. “She's gonna fucking kill us if we don't do something.”

Erika smiled, pulling out a orb that fit in the palm of her hand. “I think it's time to use one of my inventions now.” She pressed the red button glowing in the center.

I waited for something to happen, but all that the orb did was change from red to green.

“Uhm, what does it do?” I asked, not wanting to hurt her feelings.

“It's a invisible force field. It'll protect us from anything she shoots at us. Hopefully.”

I sighed, relaxing a little. “Good thing you had that with you.”

She shrugged. “No problem, I basically brought everything with me.”

~Natasha~
Though I aimed every single missile perfectly and they didn't swerve once, they still remained in tact, the missiles fizzling out before they even hit them. I racked my brain, trying to figure what was going on . Then, I knew.

“Fucking force field.” I muttered.

I could hear Pete snickering, but I chose to ignore it. Though the force field was rather annoying, I knew of one thing that could break it.
I pushed my way through Erika's thoughts, taking over her control.

~Kate~
One minute, Erika was holding the orb, the next minute, it was out the window. And to top it all off, she ended up turning it off before chucking it outside.

“Erika, what the hell?!” I yelled furiously, trying to make sense of it all.

She shook her head, a terrified look on her face. “I don't know what happened. It was like someone took over my mind and forced me to throw it out. Like an out of body experience.”

I growled. “She fucking got inside your head. Sorry, Erika, this isn't your fault.”

Looking out the windshield, I could see her getting farther away. I knew what I had to do.

“Patrick, unlock the door.” I told him, putting my hand on his shoulder. It was warm compared to my icy hands.

As if he could read my mind, he shook his head. “No, I'm not gonna let you go out there.”

“Patrick, it's the only way I can save him. Please, just unlock the door.”

He hesitated as he pressed the unlock button, letting me slip out the door. I easily caught up with the plane, opening up the door of it.

~Natasha~
I was surprised by a blow to the head, knocking me out of my chair. I looked up and saw Kate standing over me, her hand still fisted up.

“How did you get up here?” I questioned. I was sure that I was far ahead of them.

She bared her teeth, showing off her fangs. “I fucking flew, what do you think?”

“I didn't know you were a vampire.” I muttered, surprised. I didn't think Pete would change his precious mate into one of us.

“He didn't mean to, it was an accident.” She barked, reading my thoughts.

She continued, her hands shaking with rage. “Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. You can either let Pete go without a fight, and I won't kill you. Or I could kill you, take Pete, then go kill your Master.”

I bared my teeth. She wouldn't dare touch the man I love. “Don't you fucking go near him.”

“Then all you have to do is let Pete go.” She stated simply.

Don't let him get away, my pet, stay strong. My master whispered in my thoughts.

I shook my head furiously. “Never. You'll have to go through me before you ever get your fucking boyfriend back.”

She lunged for me tackling me to the ground. I rolled over so I was on top of her, punching her face hard. I could hear the cartilage crack, putting a smile on my face.

Good, my love, keep going.

I bit her neck, dragging my fangs down, leaving two marks. She cried out in pain, then she shoved me off, throwing me against the wall. I sagged to the floor, feeling lightheaded. She picked me up, pinning me to the wall.

“Now, I will kill you, then I'll go kill Beckett.”

I growled. “Don't you dare.”

Picking up my arm, she placed deep marks into my skin with her fangs.

“Ow!” I exclaimed, pain surging through me.

She shook her head, grinning. “I don't even know why you care so much about that slut, anyway. He doesn't love you or any of the several pets he has. You are basically his favorite fuck toy, the others replacing you when you aren't there.

Her laugh filled the small plane. “In fact, I bet he won't even miss you when you're dead. You're easily replaced. Judging from what I read in your mind, that Brendon boy seems likely to take your spot.”

She was surprised when tears slid down my cheeks. I knew she was right. I knew it, but I denied it every time. All those times with Master were wasted, all the times when I thought he loved me, he didn't. He never did. And he never will.

Don't listen to her, she doesn't know what she's saying. My Master hissed. Or should I say, former Master.

Tasha grinned, obviously eavesdropping on the conversation I had with myself in my head.

My voice quivered, my body shaking, as I asked, “Could I say with you guys?”

She nodded. “Of course. And don't worry, we'll take care of you. Way better than Beckett ever did.”

“Uhm, I think I need to land the plane first before I join you guys.” I said, moving quickly to the pilot seat.

~Kate~
With Pete by my side, all of us relaxed back at the house. It felt so good to have his arms around me again, my head resting on his chest.

I looked over at my once worst enemy, smiling at her and Patrick. On the car ride home, they instantly clicked, talking about... well, geek stuff, I guess. Now they were on the love seat, hands laced together.

I grimaced when I looked over at Erika and Joe, them making out slightly disturbing. But at least they were happy... though I wished they'd show their happiness somewhere else.

~Natasha~
With Patrick's warm hand in mine, I for once felt... loved. Not in the way Beckett did. Not even close. Patrick actually cared what I had to say, and he didn't tell me to shut up when I started talking about the latest book I read. He actually looked interested.

Beckett never cared about me. He was only after one thing and I knew it the whole time.

Then how come you didn't just leave? I asked myself. Maybe it was because I was afraid of life outside of Beckett's control. Maybe I thought I had it all.

Patrick kissed me lightly on the cheek, making me blush deeply.

“So, Tasha, you thought you could get away with leaving me? We'll see about that,” said a familiar voice. I shuddered, pulling Patrick closer to me.

I had a feeling that our battle with Beckett wasn't over.
