The clamor of hammer striking anvil greeted the young Elf as he opened the door and entered his father's forge.

"'Tis a delightful aubade to hear, Atar!" Curufin said, sneaking behind his father and standing on tip-toes, to peer over his shoulder.

Startled, Feanor whirled around, almost dropping his hammer, but smiled lovingly and pressed a quick kiss on the youth's cheek.

"Good morning, little one. I see you've learned another pompous word..." Feanor chuckled.

It made Curufin blush, afraid that he had sounded silly, but Feanor caught his attention, stepping aside to reveal what he had been working on.
