I've decided to write a story about a young man I'm sure we all know who fell in love- oh, so madly in love- about to get married... and the troubles he'd face in the few hours before the wedding. Enjoy. :]

They were young and stupid. They lived like life was going out of style, not caring about the next day. They snuck out at night to be with each other. They were 'in love.'

Looking back on those years, Frank couldn't help but laugh. He had spent a majority of his high school career chasing after a girl who he would still follow around like a lovesick puppy years later. The only difference now was that he had her.

Jamia was his now, and in a few hours she would be his beautiful, blushing bride. Forever his. Frank could almost melt at the thought of spending the rest of his life with a woman so wonderful. Knowing each other for so long, they connected on a level that none of his friends and their wives ever would. Gerard and Lindsey had become friends through a tour, then met up again on another and fell in love; a backstage wedding to follow. Mikey and Alicia were an amazing couple, but, really, how much can you judge from only a year of friendship? If those marriages could last, why shouldn't this one?

Frank could feel it- deep inside him- that today was going to be the highlight of his life. When he was old and grey, he would tell his grandchildren stories from his collection of tattoos. He would tell them about the one over his heart- the one that declared his love for Jamia. But... he was getting ahead of himself. He could still feel it, though. He could feel it the same way he felt sick to his stomach and the adrenaline pumping through his veins. It was excitement, it was fear. This was his day, and one little thing could shatter his perfect dream. What if he stuttered? What if he couldn't go through with it? What if...

"Dude, calm the fuck down." came Ray's voice, laughing. He found Frank's nervousness amusing. Frank Iero- the hyperactive little kid- afraid of something that wasn't a spider? It was simply hilarious. Still, who was Ray to be judging? He was already planning his wedding with Christa. He would be lying if he said that he wasn't dreadfully nervous, himself.

Frank turned to his friend, worrying his lip-ring between his teeth. "How?" came his small voice. It was almost a squeak, he was so quiet.

"Beats me, man." Ray sighed, patting the little rhythm's back before heading for the door. "Want me to get the brothers in here? God knows somebody needs to get them away from the buffet table. They'll be aiming for the cake next, if they keep it up."

Laughing slightly, Frank looked up. "Sure. They know about this marriage shit."

As Ray left, he gave Frank an encouraging thumbs up and a winning smile before leaving him alone in the dressing room. Frank sighed, lying down on the sofa in the middle of the room and stared at the ceiling. He watched as the off-white moulding melted into an image of Jamia's smile when they'd woken up that morning. She'd been... beautiful beyond anything he'd ever seen. That was the only way to put it; there were simply no words to describe her. Nothing would ever do her the justice she deserved. The only word he could think of at the moment was 'mine.'

Frank didn't even notice how wide he was smiling until he heard the door close a few feet away and a few laughs. "Toro said you looked like you were going to hurl..." came Gerard's voice.

"... but apparently the fucker just wanted us to get away from the food. He probably wants to eat it all wirh Bob." Mikey finished for his brother. It still disturbed Frank to no end how they managed to do that. They were three years apart- wasn't that a twin thing?

Sighing, Frank shook his head. "I was thinking of her. 'Course I was smiling." he grinned widely as the brothers pretended to gag at how sappy he was being, as if they hadn't done the same months before. "You guys are married. Were you... nervous like this? I feel like, if I stand up, I'll just fall right back down. I'm a wreck." He threw his hands up in the air. Was he really getting this messed up over a wedding?

Mikey laughed before nodding. "I thought I was going to explode," he began. "And when I saw Alicia walking down that aisle, I almost pissed myself. Fuck, I think Gee had to hold me up before I fainted..."

The older Way glared at his brother "Yeah, Mikey, about that... never again. Holding you up was cute when we were little. Now? Not so much. As for mine," he shrugged, "I dunno. It was after a show, remember? I was about to pass out, anyway."

The three shared a good laugh before they fell silent. It wasn't awkward, though. It was more... comforting. It was just three men that had known each other for years, sharing their thoughts of being scared out of their skins and feeling comfortable about it. The silence was broken by Gerard, to which neither Mikey or Frank were surprised. "Look, man." he patted Frank's shoulder and stood up. "You've got it good. Perfect wedding, beautiful wife, delicious food, and all your friends out there waiting to watch you two make out. So let's get this show on the road, eh?"

Mikey muttered "Goddamn vouyers did the same thing at my wedding!" before looking up at the two men whose eyebrows were raised and shrugged. It was true, wasn't it?

A- now awkward- silence fell upon the group until it was interrupted by one of the catering agency's staff, coming in to tell Frank that it was time for the ceremony. He gulped, getting up in the very ungraceful way of being yanked off the couch by the Way brothers.

As much as he wanted to, Frank Iero just couldn't do this.

But when he thought about his lovely fiancee, he could. 'Happy thoughts,' he reminded himself, 'think happy thoughts.'

He took his spot on the altar, feeling completely short and inadequate standing next to Gerard, his best man. He was taller, and looked rather dashing in a suit. Frank, though... he felt like he had put on a freakishly small Speedo. Why on Earth was he wearing this thing?

As the doors opened to reveal Jamia, in all her blushing glory, he found an answer. He was wearing this monkey suit for her. He had nearly lost his head earlier for her.

And as she smiled up at him, taking a slow step forward with her father, he couldn't help but think how it was all worth it.

Well, did you like it? I hope you did. -crosses fingers- Reviews, please? Love you all. :]
