[Madi's POV:]
"Hey Madi!" my cousin Devanie called my name and I turned towards her. She held up a black bag with filler paper in it. I looked at her oddly. Why did she have that? I walked over to her and hugged her.
"Hellow, Devvers... What is that?" I sat next to her and grabbed the bag from her and tried to peek inside. She grabbed the bag back and poked her tongue out at me.
"Not for you to see... It's for your boyfriend." I sighed and glared at her. Gerard Way was my boyfriend ever since the first day of Freshman year. It was lunch and Gerard should've been here by now. I smiled when I saw him wearing his infamous leather jacket and Black Flag t-shirt.
"Hey babe!" he kissed my cheek and sat down next to me, nodding at Dev. "Hey Dev... What's the bag for?" Devanie gave him the bag and he opened it. "What the hell...?" he looked at the CD with confusion. "Why did you get me this?" he looked at her and then at me. I just shrugged and looked at Dev. I had np clue why she got the CD.
"Because you're being so nice to my cousin. I had to say thanks..." she smirked at me. Devanie was Sophomore. I had another cousin but he was a different story. We never talked to him anymore. I gave her a 'wtf' look and Gerard kissed my cheek.
"You know... I've always wanted to listen to this CD... C'mon!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the cafeteria. We ran to his car and he put in the CD. His red Corvette blared the music. I always had no idea why he'd want to listen to music so loud. He pulled me inside the car and kissed me. The song ended and a slower song played. I knew this song... Why hadn't I thought of it before?! I knew this CD. It was my favorite, but I'd probably never lent it to him. His car was blaring Evanescence, and the CD was 'Fallen'. The song was My Immortal and it had always made me cry. I stopped kissing him and looked away, biting my lip and trying to hold back tears. "Madi what's wrong, baby?" he asked with confusion. I shook my head and he turned the music off. This shocked me. "Madibear... Tell me." He made me face his way and tears were strolling down my cheeks.
"I-I'm fine, Gee..." I let the tears show and he wiped them away with his thumb.
"Don't cry Madi... Did I do something wrong...? It's okay, Madi. I'm sorry if I did anything." He hugged me and I cried into the nape of his neck. That song always made me cry. When I regained my emotions I forced a smile.
"I'm okay, Gerard... It's just... That song always makes me cry,it reminds me of... N-Nick." I told him and he nodded. I never saw Nick anymore. Not after what happened between us. Nick was my other cousin, and Devanie, Bob, and I loathed him. Gerard still had no idea what Nick had done to me. Nick would always beat me if he didn't get his way. He'd beat me so badly that I'd be in agony and have a bloody nose, or a twisted ankle or wrist, or I'd be bleeding severly. I didn't want Gerard to know yet. I didn't want him to know at all. But I knew I'd have to tell him someday. Devanie knew that this song made me cry. Nick was a tough topic to talk about. I wished that he would die for what he did to me.
"You're okay, Madibear. Don't worry. If Nick did something... You shouldn't cry, babe... It makes me feel sad, like I've done something wrong. But I know I made the right decision by choosing you." he smiled the last sentence. "I love you." he kissed my forehead and got out of the car. I stepped out and we walked hand-in-hand to our next class. We got stares from other people but I didn't care. I never cared what people thought about me. Gerard kissed my cheek as we sat down in our next class.
