It was pitch black. There were no windows, no doors. No traces of light were present, apart from the spotlight shining above Axl's head. He was sitting in a lone chair, in the midst of the darkness.

He heard a faint noise. It got closer, more apparent.

Footsteps.

Axl looked around, but he couldn't see anything beyond the spotlights aura. The footsteps got closer and closer. Axl started to panic. He wanted to call out, but his voice was completely gone. He was too scared to even scream.

He looked at the ground, trying to steady himself. Suddenly, he saw a pair of legs directly in front of him. He slowly looked up, and saw a horrifying yet familiar face. His curly black hair was covering his face slightly, but Axl could still see his deep brown eyes looking straight at him.

Axl panicked. He shot out of his chair and ran madly towards the darkness. He found the back wall and used it to guide him. Where the fuck was the exit?

He found the corner of the room. He realised that there was no exit out of this black hell. He dug himself into the corner, hoping that he wouldn't be found.

The spotlight he had been sitting under suddenly switched off. He could not see a thing. He tried to control his breathing. It was to heavy, he might be found.

Everything was silent. Axl thought that maybe he was safe. Maybe he was alone.

"Axl" A voice said.

Axl screamed. He crouched on the floor, bracing himself. He was scared for his life.

"Please....please don't kill me..." Axl said, struggling to get words out. He could barely speak, his voice was breaking with fear.

"I'm not going to kill you. Just calm down." The voice responded. It had an ominous sound to it, very calm but deep tone.

Axl couldn't breathe. He huddled himself into a ball.

"Please.....don't hurt me..." He cried.

It was silent for a second.

"So this is your world....I'd be terrified too if this was mine. I can understand why your scared." The voice said.

Axl felt a warm hand placed on his shoulder. He flinched, and cried even harder. He couldn't even beg for his life anymore.

"Shhh...calm down." His voice was soothing. "I'm not going to hurt you."

"Axl....you know who I am right?"

Axl nodded, as if he was threatened to do it.

"That means you shouldn't be scared then."

"Y-you" Axl started. He couldn't control his voice, it was all over the place. "You can see me?"

"Yeah I can." The voice responded. He carefully stroked Axl's shoulder, as if to reassure him.

Axl was shaking even more now. The fact that this person could see him, but he couldn't see anything made him more fearful. He tightened his arms around his knees. He didn't want to let himself feel vulnerable.

"Axl...do you want me to help you?"

Axl looked up. He still couldn't see a thing, but he wondered why he had said that.

"What?" His voice was still shaking.

"I can help you. I can make the loneliness you feel disappear." His voice was deep, calm. It made Axl feel a bit calmer.

"Just don't hurt me...please..." Axl pleaded.

His hand stroked Axl's arm. He stopped when he reached his wrist.

"I can stop all of this. This hell that you live everyday and dream all night. It can be stopped, well, at least helped. I can make our connection return."

"Our connection?" Axl asked.

"Yeah...remember? We used to have such a strong connection with each other. We can have that back again."

Axl loosened his grip. He allowed his hand to be free. He wasn't sure what would happen. He thought maybe, his wrists would be sliced open. Or his hand would be cut right off.

Axl felt another hand grab his. He braced himself for a huge amount of pain. He thought this was the end of everything.

He waited for a second. Nothing happened....he opened his eyes slightly, still not being able to see anything.

All of a sudden, he was overcome by something. It wasn't pain, it wasn't horror. It was a pleasant feeling, like the sun had just burst through the storm clouds, revealing a beautiful warmth. A mix of emotions ran through him. He didn't have anything to say, he wanted to revel in this feeling for as long as he could before it got taken away again, just like every other great feeling he had felt.

"Feel better?"

Axl glanced upwards. He then knew that the feelings he was having was because of the man holding his hand. He couldn't see him, but he could feel the emotions, like it was radiating out of his body.

"Uhh...yeah..." Axl sounded very surprised. He was shocked that he wasn't murdered. That's what would've happened before. He'd never had a feeling this good in years.

Slash slowly sat next to Axl. He never broke contact with him, he made sure Axl was comfortable and not panicking. Axl was still huddled in a ball, still shaking. He was incredibly tense, Slash could feel it as he made his way around Axl's back.

Slash made slow movements the whole time. Axl turned to face him. He used Slash's hand as a guide, moved his hand slowly around Slash's back. He buried his head into Slash's neck. It felt warm, comforting...better than anything Axl could imagine. Tears were still streaming out of his eyes.

"You ok?" Slash asked.

"Yeah" Axl's voice was shakey. You could hear that he was crying.

Slash wanted Axl to relax, he was incredibly worked up. He had never seen Axl in a state like this, it made him think about how hard the last ten years must have been for him. He knew that Axl didn't really have anyone that really and truely cared about him. All of the people Axl had surrounded himself with were only interested in making money off him, or getting a better job because they had 'Worked with Axl Rose'.

Disgusting.... Slash thought.

They sat in the darkness, remaining silent for a few minutes. The warmth that Slash was radiating was calming Axl. Knowing that he had someone caring about him, even if it was for a short time, was amazing.

"Axl...You know this is just a dream." Slash said.

"What..?"

"This is your dream. I'm not actually here..."

"NO!" Axl screamed. "No no no.....you can't leave me!"

"I won't leave you Axe. I can't, even if I wanted to. We've got the conection back, so I'll always be with you."

Axl squeezed Slash tighter.

"That's not the same...I need you here"

"I can be...you just need to find me..." Slash whispered. "I love you man, remember that....."

------------------------------------

Axl slowly opened his eyes. Everything was blurry, there were tears distorting his vision.

"No..." He whispered to himself. He wiped the tears away from his eyes. He had a very emotional sleep. Much more than usual, at least.

I didn't get to tell him...

He sat up, still thinking about his dream. He didn't want it to end. It seemed so real, he could feel Slash hugging him, his curly locks flopping onto his face.

He started to feel other emotions brewing inside of him. They were not coming from himself, the were coming from....Slash.

Axl smiled.

"He didn't lie..." He said to himself. Slash told him that he'd never leave him. He was telling the truth, Axl could feel Slash's emotions, as if they were being emitted through radiowaves.

He knew exactly how Slash was feeling, it was almost magical. But Slash felt....worried, nervous and confused.

The smile vanished from Axl's face. Only one thought ran through his head.

"I have to find him..." He whispered to himself.

"I have to see him again...."
