Chapter 3: Visualization

Despayre, Horuz system

“I sense a disturbance in the Force” Emperor Palpatine said to his apprentice as they both stood on the bridge of the newly outfitted Dreadnaught class Battleship Mas Ramdar.

Emperor Palpatine’s apprentice said nothing as he stood beside his master, his deep harsh breaths made by machines implanted within his body were audible to those around him as they pump oxygen to his blood… Lord Vader’s lungs were burnt weeks ago in a fight with Obi Wan Kenobi.

“Yoda has vanished from my senses….” Emperor Palpatine said as he walked towards the enormous viewports, his apprentice right beside him. “That little green freak has managed to elude us…”

“I shall hunt him down master.” Lord Vader’s deep bass voice offered. It was completely unfamiliar compared to his old voice, but he was getting used to it.

“No my old friend…” Emperor Palpatine laid a hand to his apprentice shoulder. “I need you here near Despayre, already sabotage slows down the station’s construction. I need you to enforce discipline and take care of the security.”

“As you wish Master.” Darth Vader replied. “What about Yoda and Shaak Ti?”

“I will have the entire 501st regiment hunt them down from their last known location… Imperial Intelligence reported that Shaak Ti was last seen in Coruscant…” The Emperor gazed at his latest weapon, admiring its skeletal frame. “Yoda… that old relic is beaten… and he knows it. He would not be much of a threat now that the might of the Empire is behind the Sith. These last remaining obsolete Jedi will die and turn into dust at the winds of change.”

“Prepare my shuttle Lord Vader.” Emperor Palpatine said as he swept his robes and headed to the hangar.

Dagobah, Sluis Sector

A prismatic burst of real space reversion appeared far above Dagobah’s surface. The Falcon and its crew of four observed the green and white planet before it descended into the atmosphere.

“How can you see where we are going Aayla?” Harry asked as he looked at the fog filled atmosphere of Dagobah. The fog was so thick that visibility was only good for a few meters.

“The force guides me Harry.” Aayla replied as she felt the force nudge her hands on the controls to correct her direction.

“That’s not very reassuring.” Harry replied as he looked out the window. Shaak Ti gave him an amused look from the co pilot’s seat and looked back at her instruments.

“Where shall we land Master Yoda?” Aayla asked as she piloted the controls of the Falcon through the thick fog of the planet. They had been travelling for two days nonstop to avoid Imperial Cruisers, and it was tiring for the two alternating pilots. “I feel that the force is telling me to hover here.” Aayla added.

“Correct you are, Aayla. Find you a suitable landing spot I will.” Yoda closed his eyes and waved his hand as he used the force to split the fog.

Aayla and Shaak Ti looked on as the fog suddenly dispersed and they saw small clearing, barely enough for the Falcon to land. Through the force Aayla and her co pilot Shaak Ti they had no problem, and they landed the Falcon gently into the ground. The ramp lowered and the three Jedi and one Wizard stepped down looking at their surroundings.

“Master… that cave… under the dead tree.” Shaak Ti said as she gazed at the mouth of a small cave under an enormous tree, about thirty feet in diameter and a hundred of feet high. “It… It reeks of the Dark Side of the Force!”

“Yes… this planet discovered I did after we learned of Kamino. Everywhere the Living force is saturated in the very air.” Yoda said as he walked using his gimmer stick as support. “Hide our presence the planet will.”

“But… the cave?” Shaak Ti asked.

“Died in that cave, an ancient Sith had. Now corrupted the land is. Defeated by an ancient Jedi the Sith warrior was.” Yoda replied as pointed his gimmer stick at the cave. “Use to negate my light side presence from Darth Sidious, It will. Safe we will be.”

“Wise as always master Yoda.” Shaak Ti said as she observed their new sanctuary. The ground they stood on was one of the few that was solid… most looked like swamp and entangled roots of trees and plants. Vines hung down from every conceivable direction and green moss covered every bark.

“I suggest we set up our camp in the trees? I feel that there are strange creatures nearby and I do not wish to be a meal in my sleep.” Shaak Ti suggested. “Although if we need to cook we will have to do it on the ground.”

“Understood this is. Set up camp we will.” Yoda said. The ancient Jedi master found an appropriate sized tree nearest the cave and leapt to its branches and a minute later small branches and leaves fell to the ground as Yoda prepared his own bed.

“That looks like a good spot for us.” Harry pointed at a tree a good 30 feet away. It had a large trunk and thick branches, and with a few modifications it could comfortably bed two persons.

Aayla observed the tree and smiled at Harry. “I approve. Why don’t you go ahead and set things up Harry? I just need to power down the Falcon’s systems.”

“Alright. Hurry up though.” Harry said as he leaped up to the branches and started to remove branches and trees to set up a proper bed.

“I sense your emotions master Ti.” Aayla said as she looked at Harry transfigure a branch into a sword to cut the thicker branches.

“I am just curious Aayla. Enjoy your sleep.” Shaak Ti teased as she leapt to a nearby tree to arrange her own bed. The Falcons was swift and fast, but it lacked the basic accommodations for a restful journey. Aayla smirked and headed towards Harry to help him with their shelter.

“I think that’s done… We’ll put up a roof tomorrow. Right now I need to just lie down sand sleep.” Harry yawned as he used a rolled up blanket as a pillow.

“Harry…” Aayla asked as she moved beside him in their modest cot.

“Yeah?” Harry asked.

“Do… do you miss your world? Your friends and family?” Aayla asked.

“Of course I miss them” Harry replied.

“If you were given a chance right now to go back right now... would you take it?” Aayla turned around and looked at her friend's eyes.

“Strangely enough…. No.” Harry said and he smiled when he saw Aayla’s expression. He patted his friends shoulder to reassure his first friend and companion. “You need my help more I think… and I view this as a second chance… I’m supposed to be dead but here I am… and i'm grateful for it.”

“For someone who has never been able to escape his own planet’s gravity, you’re taking this well Harry.” Aayla said as she patted her friend’s arm.“It’s all because of you Aayla.” Harry replied. He smiled when he saw Aayla's confused expression.

“Of me?” Aayla asked, surprised. She adjusted her lekku to get a better look at Harry’s face in the darkening skies.

“Yeah… you know before I learned I was a wizard I was just a little kid with unexplained magical accidents… that freaked out my relatives.” Harry grinned as he remembered his first day at the London zoo.

“If you were born in the republic… if the republic still exists… a representative from the Jedi Temple would have recognize those accidents as a certain affinity and sensitivity with force. I am sure you would have become a Jedi.” Aayla replied.

“Huh, sounds similar… in my world a Professor from the nearest Magical school would come by during a kid’s eleventh birthday and introduce them to the magical world.” Harry said.

He noticed his friend’s Lekku near him and started rubbing it gently. “Anyway… when I learned I was a wizard I didn’t really had a hard time because I met my two best friends there… Hermione and Ron… and I arrived here and I met you.”

“Not a good first meeting…” Aayla smirked as she remembered their brief battle.

“Yeah… but it worked out in the end right? C’mon let’s get some sleep, we need to forage for food tomorrow and the supplies we brought with us would be gone in days. Who knew master Yoda ate so much?” Harry suggested.

“Good idea. Good night Harry.” Aayla said.

“Good night Aayla.”

***********

“Alright for the first lesson… normally when I was in my first year at magic school… we were taught our very first charm… Wingardium Leviosa… that’s the incantation” Harry said as he looked at his three students.

“Usually a beginner needs a wand to focus their magic… ehrmm energy along with the incantation but I felt that you three are strong in magic…” Harry noticed Aayla’s look and revised his last word. “…energy. So focus on an object… any object that is not attached to the ground and wave your hand with a twist like this and pronounce the words clearly… Wingaaardium Leviosa”

“WIngardium Leviosa” His three students spoke the incantation clearly and their hand movements were flawless but nothing happened.

“Harry? What was that… charm supposed to do?” Aayla asked.

“We use the charm to levitate things… I’m teaching you the levitation charm.” Harry said as he scratched the back of his head. “Perhaps I should have told you the purpose of the spell before I taught the incantation.”

“Oh” Two female voices replied and Harry noticed three amused looks directed at him.

It made him uncomfortable and looked down at his shoes. “I’m sorry I’m not much of a teacher and I…” Harry trailed off as he saw an enormous log, a large boulder and… the Falcon floating in the air.

“Show off.”

*********

Training his three students proved difficult and Harry didn’t know what he was doing wrong. The intent was there, he lent his wands for foci and even the words and pronunciations were perfect that even Professor McGonagall wouldn’t have any problems. What was lacking?

“Alright let’s take a break…” Harry said as he wiped his brow with his shirt. The weather in Dagobah was even hotter than Fellucia’s, it was only at night that it got cold enough for them to comfortably sleep.

“Many branches of the Living force there is… this magic you wield is one of them… truly wonderful the Force is.” Yoda said as he sat beside the young teacher. Aayla and Shaak Ti both grabbed their water bottles sat on the ground beside the other two.

“I don’t get it… I felt the magic…” Harry revised the word at Aayla’s look and continued. “…uhmm energy you charged to the wands…. You knew what the objective of the lesson was and your wand movements and incantations were impeccable.”

“We don’t know Harry… we wait for the Force to guide us but nothing’s happening… the small sticks didn’t transform into the needles like you did.” Shaak Ti said.

“Wait… you tell me you wait for the force? What are you waiting for?” Harry asked.

“For guidance Harry. The living Force tells us what to do… we submit to it…” Aayla began.

“Wait you submit to it? No wonder nothing’s happening!” Harry exclaimed. “The magic was waiting for you and you were waiting for the magic! Why do you submit?”

The three Jedi gave each other looks and Shaak Ti answered for the group. “It is what being a Jedi is all about… through the will of the Force. The Living Force guides us, directs us and gives us the power. We do not seize it and control it…. that is the path to the Dark Side of the Force.” Shaak Ti warned as she looked at Harry with an intense gaze.

“I do not mean to seize and control Magic… or the Force. Magic is alive… it responds to our emotions, that is why a certain spell reacts stronger when you feel a strong emotion. What we lack is visualization.” Harry said excitedly, glad to solve the mystery. He stood up and grabbed Aayla and bade her to follow him back their training area while the other two Jedi Masters followed behind them.

“Close your eyes Aayla… now can you imagine very clearly in your mind a needle?” Harry asked as he walked behind his student and placed his hands on her hips to steady her and whispered to her small stub like ears. “The feel of it… the length… the hardness… how it reflects light… imagine it in your palm… how heavy it is… feel… think.” Harry whispered to her friend’s ear.

“Do you have a clear mental picture in your mind?” Harry asked. Aayla nodded once while she continued to close her eyes.

“Do it.” Harry encouraged her and the Twilek opened her eyes and waved her wand, at the same time she spoke the incantation.

“Nereverto!”

The small wooden stick changed and shrunk until what remained was a small shiny needle.

“I did it!” Aayla said happily and she turned around and hugged Harry.

“I told you can do it.” Harry beamed at his friend while Yoda and Shaak Ti smiled.

“Now… I think we solve that problem… don’t wait for the force…. Imagine… better yet visualize the end result or the effect.” Harry said. “Let’s try again.”

Overall the morning of the first day was very fruitful, and Harry was pleased with the progress of his three gifted students. That night they discussed the Force or Magic as Harry insisted by the camp fire and the possible applications and the limits of its use.

Yoda said as he munched on a piece of fruit. “Only our imaginations limit us. A good beginning this is… and a good teacher, we have...”

“I’m not really good Master Yoda… you’re all just really gifted. Your Jedi training really helps… in my school at Hogwarts we were first instilled the discipline to use magic… Concentration, Focus and Belief. That’s the key for a successful spell.” Harry replied as he played with a wooden sword Yoda made for him.

“You’re a good teacher Harry… you have a lot of patience. And I noticed the discipline taught in your school is very similar to our Jedi Academy… at an early age young padawans are first taught to control their powers and later on they can polish and harness it.” Shaak Ti said.

"Thanks Shaak Ti. I'm also curious about how you use the Force through will alone. Non Verbal incantations is hard enough, and I only know a few curses to use through will power along. You only get such results through relentless training and practice of the spells." Harry said.

Yoda stood up from his comfortable seat. "Retire for the night I will. Harry, training for you tomorrow I will begin. May the Force be with all of us."

"Thank you Master Yoda... uhmm and may... the Magic remain strong with you." Harry said. Shaak Ti and Yoda shared amused looks at their new ally's insistence about magic. Yoda nodded back and climbed up the tree where they made their shelters.

"How are you faring well in this Universe?" Shaak Ti asked as she tossed another piece of wood to the fire. "Though I must say you look like you are coping."

“Aayla asked me that same question last night. I’m doing well… thanks to her.” Harry glanced at his friend and found her sleeping, her head resting on his shoulder. He smiled at her sleeping friend and looked back at Shaak Ti. “She became my friend and is helping me to cope through these sudden changes... though sometimes I think about those I left behind."

"You wish to go back?" Shaak Ti asked. “Your skills and knowledge is very valuable to us. And I find your company pleasurable.”

“Uhhh thanks Master Ti…. Aayla asked that question too. After this war perhaps… though at the moment I think you guys need my help more though... I defeated the Dark Lord in my world though I had help there, perhaps I can lend my knowledge and experience to defeat yours." Harry said.

"Yes... an amazing feat at such a young age... Aayla has told me about it. Why were you the one that defeated him? Surely there are older wizards that are powerful like you to take up the mantle." Shaak Ti said. This was very interesting indeed and she was eager to learn more from Harry.

"There are... Like Albus Dumbledore, he was my mentor. Think of him like... Yoda. But I was the prophesized one to defeat him. The other wizards and witches even called me the Chosen One." Harry said as he arranged the firewood with a stick.

"The... the chosen one?" Shaak Ti asked, stunned. She was sure Harry never knew of the ancient prophecy of the Jedi. So similar.

"Yeah... a seer in our school prophesized the birth of one would be born with the power to Defeat the Dark Lord, but victory was not assured." Harry looked up and stared at Shaak Ti's eyes. "I was the one, and Thank Merlin I defeated him. So many lives were at stake then, if I failed millions would have died and Voldemort... that's the Dark Lord's name would have ravaged the entire planet."

"A chosen one was also prophesized here... and he... he chose a path opposite yours. Anakin Skywalker joined the Dark Lord of the Sith and became his apprentice." Shaak Ti shivered as a cold wind blew from the dark cave near their camp.

Aayla shivered in her sleep and moved closer to Harry for warmth. "That must be a big disappointment, I couldn't imagine myself turning on my friends."

“It is… He had so much potential… but in the end the promise of power seduced him to the dark side of the Force.” Shaak Ti admitted. “It still hurts to see someone once full of potential become so twisted and corrupt.”

Harry looked at Aayla and said. "This little lady's tired. Piloting a starship must be very exhausting… I think I better put her to bed."

"She is, Dagobah is as remote a planet as you can go and hard to navigate through. Aayla had to keep her Jedi perception active to avoid any Imperial Cruisers wandering the quadrant." Shaak Ti said. "And she had to scout and forage for food... then the lessons earlier this morning… it must have drained her. Aayla has yet to develop the large reserves of a Jedi Master… she's close but she needs more time to build up the endurance."

"That’s why we are here for isn’t it?" Harry scooped up Aayla in his arms, and the wizard was surprised at how light his friend was. The Twilek snuggled closer and placed her head on Harry's chest as she continued sleeping.

“Good night Shaak Ti.” Harry said.

“Good night Harry.” Shaak Ti said as she watched the young human with an unreadable expression in her face.

Harry nodded and leapt from the lowest branch to the next until he reached the designated branch up the tree where they would sleep. Yoda had certainly done a fantastic job as he carved the large branches flat with his lightsaber, with pieces of wood and natural branches serving as barriers to prevent someone from falling down.

Harry rolled up a blanket to act as a pillow and gently laid his friend to the ground. He sat beside her and proper his back on a branch and watched the beautiful view of the forest canopy. He glanced at his companion and realized that ever since he arrived at this universe he was sleeping beside her every night… even on board the Tantive IV.

Both he and Aayla never brought the issue up, though privately both did not know what to think of their strange arrangements. They just expected their bed partner to be at their side at night for warmth even though Tantive IV’s atmospheric controls can adjust a room to the occupant’s need.

Privately, Harry preferred to be back on a planet… at least he didn’t need to make an excuse to sleep beside Aayla. Her familiar presence helped him ease about his worries in this new world, and the brief but close time they shared in Fellucia made them understand each other better as friends and allies. And she also smelled good.

The cold wind blew across the tree tops and he relished the cold air after a hot humid day of training. Harry yawned and used his hand as a pillow on top of his head. A minute later he was asleep as he dreamt of the wind in his face and strange ghosts talking to him.

In the dawning sky Aayla woke up early and stretched her limbs. She spotted her friend sleeping in an uncomfortable position and she smiled. Harry must have thought she needed a relaxing sleep and gave her enough space to have a relaxing rest. Silly boy, didn’t he know she was relaxed when he slept beside her? She pulled Harry gently down beside him and cradled his head in her lap as she began to plan for the day’s activities. Fish or Birds for lunch…

POCK!

“Bloody Hell! That fucking hurts!” Harry shouted as another rock hit him on the head. Harry couldn’t see over the blindfold but he heard the soft laughs of Aayla and Shaak Ti.

“Focus you must Harry. Distractions you must avoid and concentrate.”

Harry heard Yoda’s voice and he nodded. He activated Aayla lightsaber again and it sprang into life. He emptied his mind like in his Occlumency exercises and waited for the targets to come. His magic surged within him and the world crystallized around him, everything was alive, singing to him. A disturbance in the natural songs of his surroundings told him three were coming from the front and right and he angled the light saber in the basic form 1 lightsaber technique.

Voom!

Voom!

Voom!

He heard the three rocks disintegrate as they connected with the green lightsaber, but he still remained in position, his previous mistake was he immediately dropped his guard when he thought the exercise was over. Disturbances rippled all around him and he improvised by changing his stance and pivoting in his heel to block the targets. Harry grinned when he heard the lightsaber connect with all the targets.

“You improvised… good job Harry. You can remove your blindfold now.”

Harry heard Shaak Ti’s voice and he nodded. He removed his blindfold and blinked a couple of times as his eyes adjusted to the bright environment.

“That was harder than I thought. You made it look so easy.” Harry said as he wiped his sweaty chest with his dry shirt. Aayla tossed him a water bag and accepted it and drank greedily.

Shaak Ti smiled as she sat beside her student. “That’s what they all say. But in time you will learn…at least now you can survive a blaster bolt fired at your position.”

“Or I can just use magic… how are the shield charms doing anyway?” Harry asked as he tossed back the water bag to Aayla who also drank from it.

“I am still having trouble from it…” Shaak Ti admitted. “Aayla tells me you are capable of a shield that can withstand all around fire?

“I saw him cast it. Without Harry’s shield I would be overwhelmed from all the hundreds of bolts my troops fire on me.” Aayla replied.

“That shield is perhaps too early for you to learn… just focus on mastering the shield charm alright?” Harry asked.

“Yes Harry.” Aayla and Shaak Ti replied and eyed each other and smiled.

“Good. I’ll take a break this heat is too much… I’m taking a bath at that isolated pool. See you later.” Harry said as he stood up and grabbed his shirt and disappeared into the bushes.

Aayla watched her friend disappear then looked at the Jedi Master in front of her. Shaak Ti was meditating on top of the boulder Harry previously sat on. Aayla was about to give Shaak Ti some privacy when the Jedi master stopped her.

“How are you coping with this sudden change Aayla? I know you were very close to your troops and it must be a shock to… be suddenly betrayed like that… then learn that thousands of our fellow Jedi die. It is for me.” Shaak Ti admitted.

“I was stunned when Bly and the clones suddenly pointed their blasters at me… It wasn’t an arrest, they were going to execute right on the spot… then Offee’s life force vanished and I knew what was happening… It’s thanks to Harry that I’m coping… or else all my Jedi training would have collapsed long ago.” Aayla said.

“He is a gift from the force…” Shaak Ti said. “Imagine, a world full of force users like him… “Shaak Ti looked at Aayla intently. “Has he kissed you yet?”

“Master Ti!” Aayla exclaimed as she struggled to contain her shock.

“Relax… I was just teasing.” Shaak Ti said. “You are so defensive Aayla…”

The Twilek used her Jedi training and stuck out a tongue to the Jedi master in retaliation before heading towards the camp to hunt for food.

**********

A man was running fast as the clones pursued him. In the distance he saw the smoke trail of a small escape pod taking off. The man extended his senses and he smiled. Yoda was escaping. Good, at least the Jedi Order would survive.

The force warned him and he ducked just as bolts whizzed by where his head would have been, he looked back and frowned. Damn ARC troopers, they were relentless. He would use a Jedi force jump and the damn ARCs would use a grappling hook and swing to catch up with him. They were too good.

He ran ahead past explosions until he reached a sheer rock cliff face, it was smooth, there was no way he could get a grip after a jump. He ducked again as a bolt whizzed by where his chest would have bee. These ARCs were sharp shooters as well.

“You’re trapped Jedi. I can kill you now painlessly… or you attack me and I call an airstrike that will destroy this city within seconds… just one push Jedi… you decide.”

He narrowed his eyes… he could escape the explosion… but the Wookies in the city would perish… He could not allow that!

Now!

He used the force and the ARC Clone Commander hurled towards him. The clone raised a blaster and pressed the trigger, hitting his gut at full blast. He gritted his teeth from the pain and his lightsaber flared, severing the ARC commander’s head. He’d done it. He smiled as his vision darkened.

“Master Vos!” Aayla shouted as she woke up from her dream. She struggled to calm her breathing and she looked around her dark environment. Master Vos… he had just died…. Saving a city.

“Aayla?”

A voice beside brought her out of her thoughts. She looked beside her and found Harry looking at her, his face etched with worry and concern.

“Hey what’s wrong?” Harry asked as he sat beside the Twilek. He was no empath, but even he could see that her friend was visibly troubled. The Rutian Twilek did not respond but she leaned on him as they both let their feet dangle over the forest floor as they sat on the edge of the tree.

“You know I had nightmares too… when Voldemort was at the height of his power… we had this connection and through it I can see what he sees and dreams. It made me sick a couple of times that I had to have my bed sheets replaced.” Harry said.

“Aren’t you a little too old to wet the bed?” Aayla asked curiously.

“I threw up Master Secura.” Harry teased as he nudged his friend with his shoulder. Aayla gave him an amused look as they both looked at the still dark sky, though Dagobah’s large moon was starting to sink over the horizon.

“Call me that again Harry and I’ll push you over the swamp.” Aayla warned.

“I thought Jedi never hold grudges?…” Harry asked as he peered down at the watery swamp below them and looked back at Aayla. “…Master Aayla Secura”

“This one does.” Aayla said as she smiled at her friend. She closed her eyes and called forth a nearby creature and she smirked when she heard Harry scream.

“BLOODY HELL!!!”

A large reptile, about fifteen feet in length suddenly leapt out of the water and attempted to snap their dangling feet. Its massive jaws missed Harry’s bare feet by a few feet but it was enough to surprise him.

“I don’t like you…” Harry said as he pulled up his feet. He mock glared at Aayla as she laughed. “Fine… maybe I’ll take up Shaak Ti’s offer and hang out at her tree.”

“Do that and I’ll really push you” Aayla warned as her golden eyes flashed.

“You know you’re really scary.” Harry mused as he lied back down on the cot. “So do you want to talk about it?”

Aayla lied down beside him and used her folded arms as a pillow. “Through the Force… I saw my old master die back at Kashhyk… he could have escaped… but he decided to save the city, sacrificing his life in the process… I held hope that Master Vos survived.” Aayla said as she played with Harry’s chest, tracing her blue fingers across his sculpted torso.”He was a great Jedi… when I lost my memories before… he was the one that rescued me… and when I strayed to the dark side of the force, he brought me back.”

“He must have been a great man then, for you to speak so highly of him.” Harry replied. “I’m sorry for your loss.”

“Thank you Harry. It’s just that nothing in my Jedi training could have prepared any Jedi for this. I doubt anyone could have.” Aayla said. “Get some sleep Harry, I’ll just meditate and commune with the Force.”

“Alright. Just wake me if you need some company.” Harry replied. “Don’t kick me though.” He added trying to lighten the mood. Aayla cracked a smile and closed her eyes to meditate.

*********

“So you’re a Jedi guardian?” Harry asked as he munched on the grub he and Aayla managed to find.

“Yes, and as a guardian we train our bodies and hone our skills for combat.” Aayla replied. “Master Ti here is a Jedi Consular and so is Master Yoda.”

“And what does a Jedi Consular do?” Harry asked the ancient Jedi Master.

“Study the mysteries of the Force we do. Combat our last option is, talk and diplomacy we prefer.” Yoda replied. “But interesting topic you have brought, young Harry. New Questions and insights, realized I have.”

“And what is that Master Yoda?” Shaak Ti asked.

“Many types of Jedi there are not just two… the force acts in mysterious ways, channels it to different persons it does. Sith for those who use the Force for their own gain … A Jedi Wizard, Harry maybe.” Yoda mused as he observed the young human.

“I’m no Jedi.” Harry laughed. “I’m just a Wizard.”

“Jedi qualities you have.” Yoda replied. “Sensed and observed it I do.”

“You’re more of a Jedi than you realized Harry.” Aayla replied. “You are selfless, brave and a good person.”

“And faced your ultimate foe you have… and prevailed. Not something claim the Jedi can ” Yoda added. “Now… resume endurance training we will.”

“Crap.” Harry stated. Training with these Jedi meant hours leaping from branch to branch, all the time meditating and focusing his magic to extend his senses to the environment around him. It was tiring for him physically, as his body was not used to such intense stresses. He was able to keep up and with them longer though, as the days progressed.

*********

“You have a new ally with you”

“I have not sensed it… though I feel something as I headed for Tatooine.” Obi Wan Kenobi replied.

“He will help make the Jedi new. The Force sent him for this purpose.”

“I shall make plans then… after he comes of age I will show him his heritage. Who is this new ally?”

“You shall find out my old padawan… for now be strong and keep your vigil for the young one. He is strong in the force, just like his father. The Sith must not get to him.”

“I will Master Quigon. May the Force be with you.” Obi Wan replied. The Jedi Master opened his eyes from his deep meditation and stood up. He observed Owen Lars’ hut and noticed a few Tusken Raiders were awfully close to the home for comfort. He leapt and headed for their hunting party, Luke Skywalker must be kept safe.

************

Weeks have passed since the Falcon Landed, and Harry continued his training with the Jedi. He felt stronger, faster with his new regiment, and where once his body was considered fit, now it was built for endurance and speed. He no longer had to think of the banishing charm whenever he jumped from one place to another, He just willed it and his magic responded.

Aayla had began his training in Lightsaber combat, and he was now a fledgling student of Soresu, the most basic and simplest of all the forms of Light Saber combat. It was taught to all padawans to give them a chance of surviving a storm of blaster bolts and using their blades to deflect them back to their enemies. At least now Aayla could leave him alone with a light saber and not fear that his own limbs might be cut off.

He almost cut off his own head when he played with the light saber, and thanks to Yoda’s force push he only managed to trim the top hairs of his head instead of his neck. Aayla still haven’t forgiven him for that near miss and reacted by making him practice basic Light saber use and safety well into the night.

The Magical training still went slowly for Harry’s liking, but at least now his three students could form the basic Protego shield. Any further than that was hard for them, though Aayla was always the first to cast a new spell successfully. Yoda admitted that the strange use of magic… visualizing the effects was still a strange feeling compared to just submitting to the will of the force.

Harry was puzzled with his strange friendship with Aayla… they ate and slept together, and talked well into the night about their lives, their past and their childhoods, their dreams and aspirations for a better future. Strange feelings stirred within him whenever she walked past him with the skimpiest clothing, her slim and slender physique shown to his wide eyes. He kept his silence though, but he knew Aayla felt what his emotions were… he sometimes caught her looking at him and they would both grin, acknowledging that they were checking each other out. His hot Rutian Twilek friend was gorgeous, and he could not deny that. He doubted if any of his fellow aurors would hesitate to date Aayla if given the chance even if she was not human.

But right now, said hot Rutian Twilek was aiming her lightsaber towards him.

Harry focused his concentration as he held his wand loosely with his right hand and called forth his magic. He looked at his opponent, watching out for any signs of movement but Aayla was as still as a statue. He glanced at Yoda and Shaak Ti who were watching their spar and when he looked back Aayla was not there.

He looked up and his eyes widened as Aayla came down, both her hands in a grip aimed to slash him in two. Harry dodged to the side and flicked his wrist, sending ropes towards his spar mate. Aayla sliced through the ropes and sent a burst of the force with her own hand, sending Harry flying through the air.

Harry twisted himself and grinned, he wasn’t about to be defeated this easily. He swept his wand as he rolled through the air sending impedimenta and stunning curses at Aayla.

As expected, Aayla dodged some of the curses and deflected a few of them back to Harry, but the wizard was already gone and Aayla tracked him with her senses. She looked up and glared against the sun and she felt in the force a warning of danger.

Huge gigantic golems emerged from the Swamp floor and they started to flex and groan as they surrounded the shocked Jedi. Harry flipped through the air and landed in a nearby boulder and he prepared himself for Aayla’s counter attack.

Shaak Ti dropped the water bottle she was holding as she looked at the enormous swamp creatures. Yoda hid his expression well though the way his long ears twitched gave away the excitement he was feeling. This was something they never realized the Force was capable off.

Aayla stepped back and swung her blue lightsaber, although these creatures were huge, they were painfully slow. She slashed and cut as she weaved past the strange creatures, but her expression fell as the hands and limbs that were cut off reformed or grew back. She glanced at her opponent and saw him observing her with determination. They both wanted to win the spar, the prize after all was a back rub.

Aayla ducked a huge arm that was about to grab her arm and she flipped gracefully over her assailants, she figured if she defeated Harry those weird creatures he summoned would disappear.

However Harry was prepared for her and sent a storm of curses hexes and jinxes towards his friend. His wand arm blurred as brightly colored spells erupted from his wand and headed towards his spar mate. His eyes narrowed as Aayla without any trouble deflected most of them back at him and he was forced to flick the rebounded spells aside with his wand.

Harry dodged a kick and he leapt towards his summoned golems as Aayla followed him. Direct curses were useless against Aayla, only Area effect spells would do, they were nearly unpredictable to defend against. As Aayla dispatched the lumbering golems who tried to catch the Blue skinned Twilek, Harry closed his eyes and focused his power. The tip of wand glowed white and he moved it near his left hand, as if storing energies in the tip of his wand.

Aayla could literally feel what her friend was doing; it has to be something big. She needed to defeat him now before whatever ‘spell’ Harry was doing was completed. She used a Golem as leverage and leapt off its head to gain the high ground on the air. Aayla adjusted her lightsaber and prepared to stop it near Harry’s side but her eyes widened when she saw her friends eyes suddenly snap open. It was too late now, she was committed and instead she willed her body to move faster through the air.

Harry observed his friend and released the area effect spell he was gathering. “Gyaaa!”

“VMMMMMMMMMMMMMM”

A pulse shot forth from Harry’s wand as he let go of the seal and it pulsed towards his friend. He saw Aayla’s eyes widened in surprise as she was suddenly pushed back through the air towards the lumbering golems as the pulse pushed her back from her attack. Harry grinned as he heard a soft “Oof” and walked towards the group of Golems.

“Practice you need more.” Harry imitated Yoda and he heard Shaak Ti laugh from the benches they were sitting on. He looked at Yoda and saw the ancient Jedi master smiling at him, he was not mad… good. He frowned as he saw the ancient Jedi master nod his head forward, to the direction behind Harry.

The wizard’s eyes widened and he immediately turned around to engage Aayla again. He let out a breath when he realized Aayla was not there but his relief was short lived when one of his large Golems burst apart and a moment later Aayla soared through, her blue lightsaber giving off a deadly hum in her hand.

It was a fantastic counterattack, as Harry was caught simply unaware and feet before Aayla’s lightsaber severed his torso, she turned it off and slammed Harry with her shoulder. Both tumbled to the ground and after the dust settled, it revealed a victorious Aayla Secura sitting on top of a defeated human wizard. The Jedi had prevailed again.

“I defeated you. Back rub tonight.” Aayla said as she looked at Harry. She felt delighted and happy as she won the spar, though she knew Harry was holding back. It was also a pleasant sensation to hold Harry on the ground, pinned by her arms as her Lekku dangled over his face. She knew she was giving Harry a generous view of her bosom and she smiled as she felt him respond to her, literally.

“Concentration you must work on. Though voice impersonation a talent you have.” Master Yoda said as he walked towards the two youngsters.

Aayla released her hand clamping down on Harry’s wand arms and buckled her lightsaber to her belt, but she continued to sit on Harry.

“Yeah… I got too distracted out there… you Jedi use every and all opportunities to attack.” Harry replied. Aayla heard tightness in his voice and she smirked. She was tempted to wiggle her bum but she was hesitant in front of Master Yoda.

“It is the force that guides us… It tells us where and when to attack.” Aayla said as she looked at Harry.

“Harry, how did you make those swamp creatures appear?” Shaak Ti asked, she was impressed at the versatility of suddenly having enormous swamp beings fight for you.

“I charmed the swamp and made the creatures from the surrounding environment… they are called golems, elementals from the earth.” Harry said as he placed a hand on Aayla’s bare waist to still her movement.

“They are certainly useful in battle.” Shaak Ti said. “I better prepare dinner, you better freshen up, Aayla, Harry.”

The human and the Twilek nodded and Yoda and Shaak Ti left them and headed back to the camp.

“What are you doing? Do you know how hard it is to talk with them and keep a straight face?” Harry whispered as he placed his other hand on Aayla’s hips. “You’re killing me Aayla.”

“I certainly know how ‘hard’ it is” Aayla teased as she wiggled her bum causing Harry to groan. Aayla stopped when she sensed how Harry was suffering because of her actions. “I’m sorry Harry… I acknowledge the growing attraction between us, but as I dropped my defenses against these feelings and emotions I realize that I’m a female that also has needs. I feel playful, like a child discovering she has a new sweet to nibble on.”

“Don’t worry Aayla… I understand… and I am attracted to you too.” Harry whispered. “Do you realize how hard it is for a male like me to spend weeks with a beautiful person like you?”

Aayla leaned down and caressed Harry’s cheek with a feminine blue hand. “I have never experienced it before as I spent my whole life as a Jedi… and I find myself curious… and eager.”

She traced her fingers against Harry’s bare chest. “Soon… I am eager… but right now we need to take a bath. I stink like a nerf poo.”

“I wasn’t the one who passed through a Golem that was made of the swamp” Harry teased back. “And trust me you still smell good.”

Aayla smiled and stood up and offered Harry a hand.
