“I have a mission for you.”

These were the six words the agent had been waiting to hear for as long as he could remember. He stood frozen with jubilation as he waited for his superior to continue.

“The Device is almost ready and I know just the five Moroi to test it out on.”

“Five Moroi, sir? I thought that the Device could only house one person at a time.”

“It can but I don’t mind having to wait. It will be worth it when the five most powerful vampires in the world are out of my way and I can defeat Denní Světlo Hvězd once and for all.”

“What do you need me to do then?”

“In Melbourne, Australia there are four Moroi living in a “foster home” with Robert Mason. Their initials are all I know: BM, FM, JO and AO. The last two are twins; a boy and a girl but they don’t know it, extremely fraternal. That is all I know.”

“And you wish for me to find them?”

“Yes, lure them here.” He paused. “Say that you know the Půlnoc Stíny has their biological parents, they will all fall for that. Bring them here, convince them to befriend you and then we shall send them away.”

“What makes the most powerful Moroi in the world though, sir? I cannot understand it.”

“They have no biological parents. They have been living, dying and going through re-incarnation since the dawn of time in this world, they have only been made vampires in the last few centuries however. Their elemental powers are beyond anything ever seen by our people. Once they go through the Device, their powers will be trapped in individual vials that will be put into my possession and kept until the day I wish to conquer this entire world.”

“And where will they go once this has been done?”

“To the Moroi homeland where they shall forever remain.”

“And what of the fifth? You said there were five but have only given me four sets of initials.”

He smiled darkly before whispering, “The fifth is already within my reach.”
