Boy Girl

I've been having these weird thoughts lately,

like is any of this for real or not?

Chapter One

Dive into the Heart

Two kids, a boy with spiky, brown hair and a girl who seemed around 10, landed on what seemed to be nothing but darkness. The boy took a slight step forward, doves began to fly all over. The boy and girl covered their eyes.

What the doves revealed was something to wonder as the boy and girl were now standing on a stain glass portrait of a lovely girl with hair black as ebony and skin white as snow.

So much to do, so little time...

The boy and girl's names were Sora and Gabby.

"The hell?" said Gabby. "Did you-"

"I heard it," said Sora.

Take your time.

"There it is again!" said Gabby.

Don't be afraid.

"Okay," said Sora. "A voice out of nowhere is telling us not to be afraid."

The door is still shut. Now step forward. Can you two do it?

"Of course I can!" said Gabby. "And quit telling us what to do, voice from nowhere!"

"You know, it looks like you're talking to yourself," said Sora.

"Shut up!" said Gabby.

Sora and Gabby walked forward and looked around. Suddenly, three pedestals appeared, each holding a different weapon, a shield, a staff, and a sword.

Power sleeps within you two. If you give it form...It will give you strength. Choose well.

"Okay, I wonder I'm gonna pick, maybe the SWORD!?" said Gabby. "THE SWORD!!!"

"Just pick the damn sword already!" said Sora.

"Okay," said Gabby. "Geez..."

Gabby jumped onto the pedestal with the sword and grabbed it.

The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction. Is this the power you seek?

"Of course I do!" said Gabby. "It's a SWORD!"

Sora sweat dropped. The sword in Gabby's hand disappeared, alight flashing into her hand.

Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?

Gabby ran over to the shield and picked it. Sora jumped onto the pedestal Gabby was just on and another sword appeared. Sora faced the same process Gabby did and accepted it.

Gabby looked at the shield, it was red and black with three red circles in the center (Mickey Mouse emblem).

The power of the guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all. You give up this power?

"Hell no!" said Gabby. "This power's useful!"

Gabby jumped off the pedestal and ran to the blue staff with the same circles the shield on top part of it. She grabbed it.

The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin. You give up this power?

"Yes," said Gabby.

The staff disappeared in a flash of light.

You have chosen the power of the warrior. You've given up the power of the mystic.

Sora ran over to the shield and gave it up.

You too have chosen the power of the warrior. And yet, you give up the power of the guardian. Are these the forms you seek?

"Yes," said Sora and Gabby.

The pedestal Sora and Gabby were standing on sank into the ground so suddenly, causing them to almost fall to the ground. The ground started to shatter into many pieces, with Sora and Gabby then falling down into darkness head first.

The duo was falling head first for awhile when another glass stain portrait came into view. It was of a beautiful, young lady wearing a blue ball gown.

Sora and Gabby landed on their feet and looked around. Alight flashed into their hands and the swords Gabby and Sora chose were in their hands.

You've gained the power to fight. Use this power to protect yourself and others. There will be times you have to fight.

As the voice said this, an ink-black little creature with yellow beady eyes and antennae appeared from the ground.

"Aw," said Gabby. "Look at the little thing...OW!"

The creature had just scratched Gabby.

"Don't patronize these...'things', you'll just make them mad,"said Sora.

"But they're so cute!" whined Gabby.

Gabby reached out for one and it scratched her.

"Ouch!" said Gabby. "Ah, that hurt!"

"Told you," said Sora.

Keep your light burning strong.

More creatures appeared and Sora killed one. At once, the others disappeared into the ground. A small creature snuck behind Sora.

Behind you!

Sora turned around and swung his sword at the creature, killing it. More creatures appeared, but they were soon killed by Sora and Gabby.

One creature sunk into the floor and left darkness in its spot. The darkness started to spread everywhere on the floor, taking Sora and Gabby down with it.

Sora and Gabby were struggling to get out. They opened their eyes and stopped.

"That was scary," said Gabby.

"Yeah," said Sora.

Sora and Gabby stood up and looked at the floor. It was a pink stain glass portrait with the silhouettes of three girls.

A door stood at one end of the floor. Sora and Gabby walked up to the door ad it glowed. It then opened, a bright light shining out of the door. Sora and Gabby walked in and soon found themselves on a sunny place. Three kids were there, two boys and a girl.

Hold on. The door won't open just yet. First, tell me more about yourselves.

Sora and Gabby asked the first guy, the oldest of the trio, Wakka.

"What do you want out of life?" asked Wakka.

"To broaden my horizons," said Gabby.

"Same here," said Sora.

"To broaden your horizons, huh?" said Wakka.

Sora and Gabby then walked up to the boy named Tidus.

"What are you afraid of?" asked Tidus.

"Being indecisive," said Gabby.

"Being different, I guess," said Sora.

"Is that really so scary?" asked Tidus.

"Oh, what do you know?" said Sora.

The duo walked up to the girl in the yellow mini-dress, Selphie.

"What's most important to you?" asked Selphie.

"That's easy," said Gabby. "It's friendship!"

"Yeah!" said Sora.

"Is friendship such a big deal?" asked Selphie.

"Yes!" said Sora and Gabby.

You want to broaden your horizons. You're afraid of being indecisive and different. You value friendship.

Your adventures begin at midday. As long as the sun is shining, your journey should be a pleasant one.

"Sounds good," said Sora.

"Yeah," said Gabby.

The day you two will open the door is both far off and very near.

A light flashed and Sora and Gabby were now back on another stain glass portrait, it was of a beautiful sleeping lady holding a red rose. The duo walked forward a bit when more of the same creatures appeared around them. They took out their swords and started to kill the creatures.

After Sora and Gabby killed off the creatures, a light shone down from above and moved forward. It started to make a stain glass pathway for them. Sora and Gabby ran up the pathway and soon found themselves on another stain glass portrait.

It was of a lady in an elegant yellow ball gown, and standing next to her was a hideous beast.

Sora walked forward and looked around.

The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes.

Sora looked back and saw his shadow, it was HUGE. Sora looked at his shadow and it started to come out of the ground. It then turned into a ginormous monster.

"Oh crap," said Sora.

"That thing's bigger than me!" said Gabby.

But don't be afraid.

Sora and Gabby started to back up.

"Okay, there's a ginormous monster in front of us," began Gabby. "And a voice from nowhere is telling us to NOT be afraid?!"

And don't forget...

Sora and Gabby turned around and ran for it! Unfortunately for them, the pathway disappeared, so making an escape would be useless. Sora lost his balance and almost fell forward if Gabby hadn't grabbed his hand. Gabby pulled Sora back up with ease.

"Sometimes you amaze me," said Sora.

"If you're gonna say something about my height..." said Gabby.

"I'm not!" said Sora. "Now let's kill this thing!"

Sora and Gabby took out their swords and started attacking the creature's hands. They avoided it slamming its hand onto the ground a few times. After a while, the giant thing fell onto its knees and almost on Sora and Gabby.

Sora and Gabby jumped back, their swords disappeared right after.

"The hell!?" said Sora.

The creature looked at Sora and Gabby, they fell onto the ground. The ground started to turn into darkness again and the creature was about to fall on Sora and Gabby.

-But don't be afraid.

Black inky tendrils started to envelop Sora and Gabby's legs.

"AAH!" yelled Gabby. "Get off!"

Sora started to struggle like Gabby.

You two hold the mightiest weapons of all.

Sora and Gabby were trying to crawl away, but with no avail. Sora reached out a hand in his try, but it was covered in darkness.

So don't forget:

Sora and Gabby were on their backs, eyes widened in horror as they were fully enveloped in darkness.

You two are the ones who will open the door.

Everything went black.

Chapter Two

Destiny Islands...Wait, It Was Just a Dream!?

Sunlight from a clear blue sky penetrated Sora's lids, waking him up. Sora sat up and looked around at his surroundings. He saw nothing but the white sand and the clear aqua water.

Sora yawned loudly and was about to lie back down onto the sand when he noticed a dark-red haired girl with blue eyes above.

"Whoa!" yelled Sora.

Sora sat up quickly and got onto his knees, the girl giggled at his reaction.

"Gimme a break, Kairi," said Sora.

Kairi put her hands behind her back. Kairi wore white tank top with a violet lining and black one underneath. She wore a light purple skirt with shorts of the same color under. She had a necklace with a single pearl on it and wore light purple, slip-ons (shoes).

Sora wore a red jumper with a blue belt around his waist, and over this, he wore a black and white hoodie over it. On his neck was a silver necklace with a crown pendent and wore white, fingerless gloves with some sort of metal guard on them. He also wore big, yellow shoes.

"Sora, you lazy bum," said Kairi. "I knew that I'd find you snoozing around here."

"No!" said Sora. "This huge, black THING swallowed me up! I couldn't breathe, I couldn't-"

Kairi brought her fist down on Sora's head.

"Ow!" said Sora.

Sora placed his hand on his head. Kairi bent down to Sora's level.

"Are you still dreaming?" asked Kairi.

"It wasn't a dream!" said Sora. "Or was it? I don't know. What was that place? So bizarre..."

"Yeah, sure," said a voice. "You must've hit your head falling off the trees again."

"Huh?" asked Sora.

Sora turned to see a girl with chestnut brown hair in a ponytail standing next to Kairi. The girl looked identical to Kairi.

"Hey, Gabby," said Kairi.

"Hey," said Gabby.

Gabby wore a white tank top with a silver and white hoodie, blue shorts, and white low-top converse. She had a silver necklace with a heart pendent and silver arm bands. In the center of the pendent were three gems, a ruby, sapphire, and diamond.

Kairi and Gabby started to walk together by Sora. Sora turned to them.

"Say, Kairi, Gabby, what was your hometown like?" asked Sora. "You know, where you two grew up?"

Kairi and Gabby were looking at the ocean.

"We've told you before, we don't remember," said Kairi.

"Nothing at all?" asked Sora.

"Nothing," said Gabby.

"You two ever want to go back?" asked Sora.

"Well, I'm happy here," said Kairi.

"Same here," said Gabby.

"Really..." said Sora.

"But you know..." said Kairi.

"We wouldn't mind going to see it," said Gabby.

"I'd like to see it too," said Sora. "Along with any other worlds out there!"

"I want to see 'em all!" said Gabby.

"My words exactly," said Sora.

"So what are we waiting for?" asked Kairi.

"Hey, aren't you guys forgetting about me?" asked a voice.

The trio turned to see a silver haired, aqua-eyed boy holding a log in one arm. He wore a yellow shirt mimicking a tank top with baggy blue jeans connected to suspenders with large shoes. He had on black gloves and wristbands. He was the oldest of the four.

"So, I guess I'm the only one working on the raft," said the boy.

"That's not true, Riku," said Gabby. "I...did something."

"If by something you mean sleeping," said Riku.

Riku walked towards Kairi and Gabby, throwing the log at Sora as he passed by. Sora tried to catch the log, falling over on his back in the process. Kairi and Gabby laughed.

"You two are just as lazy as he is!" said Riku.

Kairi giggled.

"So you noticed," said Kairi. "Okay, we'll finish it together."

Kairi then whispered something to Gabby.

"Watch...we'll race you!" said Kairi.

"Huh?" said Sora.

"What, are you kidding?" asked Riku.

Kairi and Gabby laughed.

"Ready?" said Gabby.

"Go!" said Kairi and Gabby.

Sora and Riku glanced at each other before standing up quickly and starting to race each other. Kairi and Gabby looked at each other before high-fiving each other.

"Smart!" said Gabby.

"Let's go follow them," said Kairi.

Kairi and Gabby laughed as they tried to catch up.

"We should do this more often," said Gabby.

"I know," said Kairi.

~later~

Sora and Gabby were now going to get things for the raft, two logs, one cloth, and rope. Sora was already carrying one log, the same one that Riku threw at him. Gabby had the cloth and rope, all they need now was a log.

"Okay," said Sora. "I see it...by Riku. Let's see if we can..."

"Let me try!" said Gabby. "I want to see if I can get it without him noticing! I've been working on it and I think I can get it right today."

"That'll be a first," said Sora.

Gabby ran up to the small mini-island up to the log. Riku was sitting on crooked palm tree looking out at the sea. Gabby

Almost there, almost...got it, Gabby thought as she picked up the log.

Gabby turned around and started to walk away when...

"Thought you could sneak by me, eh?" Riku said without looking back.

"Damn!" said Gabby. "I was SO close!"

Riku turned around and laughed.

"Up for a round?" asked Riku. "Grab your sword."

Gabby took out her wooden sword and dropped the log.

"Ready to lose?" asked Gabby. "This time we'll make sure it's not a tie."

"I'll make sure of that," said Riku. "And this time...don't kick low."

Gabby laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of her head.

"Sorry," said Gabby.

"I still wonder where you learned how to do that," said Riku.

"Kairi taught me that," said Gabby.

Gabby walked up to a coconut tree and punched it, a coconut fell down.

"And I taught her that," said Gabby.

"For a small girl who has the height of a 10 year-old...you can hit," said Riku.

Gabby swung her sword at Riku, but he blocked it.

"Are you gonna fight me or make fun of my height!?" said Gabby. "And I'm only 4'9' and 14! And it's FUN-SIZED!"

Riku jumped back.

"My turn!" said Riku.

From a far...Sora was watching the fight. Tidus, Selphie, and Wakka walked up to him.

"What's going on?" asked Selphie.

"Only Gabby and Riku fighting each other," said Sora.

"She doesn't have a chance," said Tidus. "Riku beat all of us...even when we teamed up."

"Ya, we never had a chance," said Wakka.

"Yeah, but this is Gabby," said Sora. "She is pretty much like Kairi, small but dangerous when they want to be."

"Oh, yeah," said Tidus.

"That's scary, man," said Wakka.

A/N This is a term I heard from high school about one of my friends, which is true. She is small...but DANGEROUS.

Riku lunged at Gabby, swinging his sword at her, but she dodged. She then took the chance to hit Riku in the gut, this knocked him onto the ground.

"Yeah!" said Gabby. "That's what I'm talkin'...Oh shit!"

Gabby jumped out of the way from Riku's springing kick.

"Ha!" said Gabby. "OW!"

Riku whack Gabby right in the stomach with his sword.

"I'm so gonna be feeling that in the morning..." said Gabby.

"Don't tell me you're giving up already," said Riku.

"You wish!" yelled Gabby.

Gabby swung her sword at Riku, but he blocked again...and once again when she tried to attack.

"Huh," said Riku. "You still don't get it-AH!"

Gabby whacked Riku in the leg, distracting him as she pointed the tip of her sword at his throat.

"Score's 1 to 0 now," Gabby said, smiling and laughing.

"I see I've taught you well," said Riku.

"No shit," said Gabby. "Oh, yeah! This is for calling me small!"

Gabby tried to punch Riku in the gut, but he caught her hand.

"Nice try," said Riku. "But you have to do better than that!"

Riku smirked and pulled Gabby into a headlock and mashed his knuckles into her scalp (what we call a noogie).

"AAH!" said Gabby. "What's this for?!"

"For failing to submit an easy punch on me!" said Riku.

Gabby laughed.

"Okay!" said Gabby.

Riku chuckled and let go of Gabby. Gabby fixed her hair and walked to the log and picked it up.

"Gotta get this log to Kairi," said Gabby.

Gabby walked over to Sora.

"How long was that?" asked Gabby.

Sora looked at his watch.

"Wait a minute..." said Sora. "When did I start wearing awatch?"

Gabby shrugged.

"Hey, that's my watch!" said Wakka. "I've been lookin' for it all day!"

Sora took of the watch and gave it to Wakka.

"Thanks," said Wakka.

"Time to go to Kairi now," said Gabby. "And tell her what I did to Riku!"

"I saw that," said Sora. "Nice!"

Sora high-fived Gabby before walking back to Kairi, she was holding a bottle with a green substance inside of it.

"Thanks, Sora, Gabby!" said Kairi. "I found something today, too. Here, I thought you might want it."

Kairi gave Gabby the bottle. Gabby looked at the bottle and smiled.

"Awesome!" said Gabby. "It's a hi-potion! Oh yeah! Kairi, guess what?"

"What?" asked Kairi.

"I beat Riku in a sword fight!" said Gabby.

"Finally!" said Kairi. "Are you two tired? Want to call it aday?"

"Yeah, let's go home," said Sora.

The sun was already setting.

"Okay, it is getting late," said Kairi. "We'll finish up tomorrow."

On the mini-island, Sora, Gabby, and Kairi were sitting on the crooked palm tree. Riku was lean back on it; they were looking at the sunset.

"So, Kairi and Gabby's home is out there somewhere, right?"said Sora.

"Could be," said Riku. "We'll know by staying here."

"But how far could a raft take us?" asked Sora.

"Who knows?" asked Riku. "If we have to, we'll think of something else."

"So suppose you get to another world," said Kairi. Kairi giggled. "What would you do there?"

"Well, I haven't really thought about it," said Riku. "It's just...I've always wondered why we're here on this island. If there are any other worlds out there, why did we end up on this one? And suppose there are other worlds... Then ours is just a little piece of something much greater. So we could have just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?"

Riku looked at Sora, Gabby, and Kairi. Sora turned and lied back on the tree.

"I don't know," said Sora.

"Exactly," said Riku. "That's why we need to go out there and find out."

Riku stood up and started walking around.

"Just sitting here won't change a thing," said Riku. "It's the same old stuff. So let's go."

"You've been thinking a lot lately, haven't you?" asked Kairi.

Riku turned to Kairi.

"Thanks to you and your sister," said Riku. "If you two hadn't come here, I probably would've never thought of any of this. Kairi, Gabby, thanks."

"You're welcome," said Kairi and Gabby.

The quartet started to make their way on the bridge, Gabby and Kairi ahead of Riku and Sora. Sora was just walking when Riku called to him.

"Sora," said Riku.
Sora turned around to catch a yellow, star-shaped fruit that Riku had just thrown at him.

"You wanted one, didn't you?" asked Riku.

"A Paopu fruit..." Sora said in question.

Riku started walking towards Sora.

"If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined,"explained Riku. "They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what."

Riku passed Sora, who was still looking at the Paopu fruit.

"C'mon, I know you want to try it," teased Riku.

"What are you talking-" Sora paused and then realized what Riku was implying.

Riku laughed at Sora's reaction. Sora stared at the fruit again and back at Riku, throwing the Paopu fruit into the water. Riku started running as Sora chased after him.

Chapter Two and a Half

A Sudden Turn of Events

Someplace unknown...

In a huge unique blue and white castle, a duck was walking down the colonnade in the castle. The duck was making his way through the colonnade, passing my some brooms carrying buckets. He stopped right in front of a purple ginormous door and knocked on the left side of the door a few times.

A smaller door moved forward and the duck walked through, entering the audience chamber. At the end of the audience chamber was a throne

"Good morning, Your Majesty," he said as he headed towards the throne.

The duck kept walking towards the throne.

"It's nice to see you this morn-What!"he yelled.

The duck realized that no one was sitting on the throne. Ayellow dog with a green collar popped out from behind the throne holding a note in his mouth. He walked over to the dog and took the letter and began reading it. Some moments later...

"WAAAAAK!!!"

The duck came running out of the audience chamber and began running in the colonnade. He soon ran out of the castle and into a huge courtyard. Lying on the grass was a dog and he was asleep. The duck ran over to the dog and began trying to shake him awake.

"Wake up, Goofy, wake up!" yelled the duck. "This is serious!!"

Goofy ignored the duck and was still asleep. Unfortunately for him, the duck was the castle's Court Magician, who mastered the spells of magic. The duck lifted his right hand up and pointed his index finger in the air.

"WAA-AAK!" yelled the duck.

A lightening bolt came down on Goofy, who once again was unfortunate, being the Captain of the Royal Guard and all, he was wearing armor.

A/N Metal + electricity= more conductivity which is...PAIN!!! Let this be a lesson to everyone, never ignore your friends who can shoot LIGHTENING BOLTS.

"WHOA!!" yelled Goofy.

Goofy sat up and looked around with tired eyes, completely unfazed by the lightening. He spotted the duck and waved.

"Hey there, Donald," greeted Goofy. "G'morning."

"We got a problem, Goofy!" Donald exclaimed before bringing his voice down to a whisper. "But don't tell anyone..."

"Queen Minnie?" said Goofy.

Donald placed his hands on his hips(?)and shook his head.

"Not even the queen," said Donald.

"Daisy?" said Goofy.

Goofy was evidently looking clueless to Donald.

"NOOOO!" yelled Donald. "It's top secret!"

Goofy waved.

"G'morning, ladies," said Goofy.

Donald froze and slowly turned around.

"Wha?" said Donald.

Donald turned to see a mouse lady wearing a crown and pink dress, no doubt Queen Minnie. Next to Minnie was a duck wearing a purple dress and a small crown, probably her lady in waiting and no doubt Daisy. Daisy placed her hands on her hips.

Donald laughed awkwardly.

Back on Destiny Islands,

Sora jumped out of his boat and onto the dock. He then started to make his way into the cove.

~later~

Sora was now talking to Riku.

"Our raft needs a name," said Riku. "Let's see... How about Highwind? What would you call it?"

"Me?" said Sora. "Well...hmm...Excalibur!"

"Hey, how 'bout..." said Riku.

"The usual?" said Sora.

"Let's do it!" said Riku.

"You guys at it again?" asked Kairi. "All right, I'll be the judge."

Sora and Riku turned to see Kairi walking towards them.

"If I win, I'm captain!" said Sora. "And if you win..."

"I get to share the Paopu with Gabby," said Riku.

"Huh?" said Sora.

"Deal?" said Riku. "The winner gets to share a Paopu with Gabby."

"Wha..." said Sora. "Wait a minute..."

"Okay," said Kairi. "On my count: 3, 2, 1...GO!"

~after~

Sora ended up losing the race.

"Man, now the scores 1 to 2!" whined Sora.

"All right, we're naming the raft Highwind," said Riku."About the Paopu fruit...I was just messing with you, I know you like her."

Sora scowled at Riku.

"No I don't!" said Sora.

Riku just laughed at Sora's reaction. Sora just walked away towards the raft. Kairi was leaning on the mast.

"Hey, where's Gabby?" asked Sora.

Kairi pointed between a couple of palm trees, right there was Gabby, sleeping.

"Wake her up, Sora," said Kairi.

"Hell no!" said Sora. "Last time she almost gave me a black eye!"

"Fine, I'll do it," said Kairi. "Yo, Gabby! WAKE UP!"

Gabby sat up and glared at Kairi.

"Why must you wake me?" asked Gabby.

"Hold on, Sora I need you to get...listen up!" said Kairi.

"Okay!" said Sora.

"Three mushrooms, one seagull egg, and three fish," said Kairi. "I already got the coconuts and water."

"Okay," said Sora.

"Okay, Gabby," said Kairi. "Help me look for thalassa shells."

"Oh yeah, the necklace," said Gabby.

"Do you two do everything together?" asked Sora.

"Maybe," Gabby and Kairi said at the same time.

"You're like Kagamine Len and Rin," said Sora.

"No, that's with singing," said Kairi.

"Which is something we did last year in the talent show," said Gabby. "And we're identical twins, not fraternal."

"Fine then, Fred and George," said Sora.

"I can relate," said Gabby. "Aren't you supposed to be doing something?"

"Oh crap!" said Sora. "The provisions!"

Sora ran off.

~later~

Sora was checking the secret place for some mushrooms (not THOSE kinda of 'shrooms!!) since it was dark in there.

"Where are those mushrooms?" Sora asked himself.

Drawings were on the walls of the secret place and a big brown door stood at the end. Sora looked around and saw some mushrooms.

"Here!" said Sora.

Sora bent down to grab the mushrooms, as he started to stand up he noticed a certain drawing on the wall. The drawing was of two kid's faces, a boy and girl. He placed his hand on the girl's face. A flashback came to Sora.

~flashback~

A young Sora, with less spiky hair and around 5, was blocking off the entrance to the secret place. In front of him was a young girl with shoulder-length hair, Gabby, also 5.

"No one's supposed to come in here!" said Sora.

Gabby's blue eyes sparkled in wonder.

"Wow, that's cool!"said Gabby. "Can I see?"

Sora shook his head.

"No!" said Sora.

Gabby pouted and tightened her fists.

"C'mon!" said Gabby. "Pwease? Don't be mean~!"

Gabby was now staring at Sora with big eyes. Sora, feeling a twinge of guilt, sighed in defeat.

"All right!" said Sora. "Gabby, I'll let you in because you're special!"

Sora said this, blushing afterwards. Gabby's eyes sparkled.

"Thank you!" said Gabby.

Gabby hugged Sora, causing him to blush.

~later~

Sora was kneeled down onto the ground carving a picture onto the wall. Next to him was Gabby, who was also doing the same. They were drawing something onto the wall with rocks.

After a bit, they glanced at each other and then at the other's picture. It was a picture of each other's faces.

~end of flash back~

Sora blushed slightly at the flash back. He picked up a rock and started to draw an addition to the picture. He then put his hand down and looked at the picture. The addition was the picture of his face exchanging a Paopu fruit with Gabby.

Sora then noticed someone was behind him. He stood up and turned around.

"Wh-Who's there?" asked Sora.

A man in a brown hooded cloak stood a few feet away from Sora.

"I've come to see the door to this world," said the man.

"Huh?" said Sora.

"This world has been connected," said the man.

"Wh-What are you talking about?"asked Sora.

"Tied to the darkness...soon to be completely eclipsed," said the man.

"Well, whoever you are, stop freaking me out like this," said Sora. "Huh? Wh-Where did you come from?"

"You do not yet know what lies beyond the door," said the man.

"So, you're from another world!" said Sora.

"There is so very much to learn," said the man. "You understand so little."

"Oh, yeah?" said Sora. "Well, you'll see. I'm gonna get out and learn what's out there!"

"A meaningless effort," said the man. "One who knows nothing can understand nothing."

"Are you calling me stupid!?" said Sora.

Sora turned to the brown door and back at the man...he was gone.

"The hell did he get here?" said Sora.

Sora shrugged and ran out of the secret place to go catch some fish.

~sometime after~

Gabby walked into the secret spot.

"I wonder if there are any thalassa shells here," said Gabby.

Gabby looked around and noticed the drawing that she and Sora made when they were 5. She saw the addition Sora made and looked at it for some time, she then smiled. Gabby picked up a rock and started making an addition to the drawing.

Gabby put the rock down and looked at the drawing and smiled. She then walked out of the secret place.

~some more time later~

Sora was running back to the cove to go to Kairi and give her the provisions.

Kairi was leaning on the raft's mast again, she was making something out of thalassa shells. Right next to her, was Gabby and she was making a sandcastle.

"Done!" said Gabby.

Just then, a wave went over Gabby and the castle.

"AH!" yelled Gabby.

Gabby was now drenched and her castle...all crumbled.

"NO!" said Gabby. "I wanted to destroy it!"

Kairi laughed at what happened to her sister. Sora then walked up to Kairi.

"What's that?" asked Sora.

"This?" said Kairi. "I'm making a necklace out of thalassa shells."

"In the old days, sailors always wore thalassa shells," said Gabby. "They were supposed to ensure a safe voyage."

"Thanks, Sora!" said Kairi. "We found something today, too. Here, it's yours."

Kairi gave Sora a hi-potion.

"Wanna call it a day already?" asked Kairi. "It's getting dark already."

"Tomorrow's the big day!" said Gabby. "We should rest up!"

~later on the dock~

Sora was sitting next to Gabby on the dock. They were watching the sun set, its reflection giving the sea a beautiful gleam.

"You know, Riku has changed," said Gabby.

"What do you mean?" asked Sora.

"Well..." said Gabby.

"You okay?" asked Sora.

"Sora, let's take the raft and go-just the two of us!" said Gabby.

"Huh?" Sora said, blushing slightly.

Gabby giggled.

"Just kidding!" said Gabby. "Man, you fell for it!"

"What's gotten into you?" asked Sora. "You're the one who's changed, Gabrie-"

"Call me 'Gabrielle' and count yourself facing my fist to your head," said Gabby.

"I withdraw that last comment," said Sora. "You're still the same fun-sized Gabby that I know."

"Yeah...you know, I was a little afraid at first, but now I'm ready!" said Gabby. "No matter where I go or what I see, I know I can always come back here. Right?"

"Yeah, of course!" said Sora.

"That's good," said Gabby. "Sora, don't ever change."

"Huh?" said Sora.

Gabby stood up and looked at the sunset, enjoying the view and breeze as it was blowing against her waist-length hair. Sora stared at Gabby.

"I just can't wait," said Gabby. "Once we set sail, it'll be great."

~somewhere else~

Back at the castle in what seemed to be a study, a letter was being read.

Donald,

Sorry to rush off without sayin' goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin'. Not sure why, but the stars have been blinkin' out, one by one. And that means disaster can't be far behind. I hate to leave you all but I've gotta go check into it. There's someone with these 'keys' -- the key to our survival.

So I need you and Goofy to find them. Got it? We need those keys or we're doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He'll point you in the right direction.

P.S.

Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks pal.

(insert Mickey Mouse emblem)

A yellow dog, Pluto, was asleep in his bed as Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and Minnie were discussing about the letter.

"Oh dear!" said Daisy. "What could this mean?"

"It means we'll just have to trust the king," said Minnie.

"Gawrsh, I hope he's all right," said Goofy.

"Your Highness," Donald said, placing his hand on his heart. "Don't worry. We'll find the king and these 'keys'."

"Thank you, both of you," said Minnie.

"Daisy, can you take care of-"

"Of course," said Daisy. "You be careful, now, both of you."

"Oh, and to chronicle your travels, he will accompany you," Minnie said, gesturing at the desk.

Donald looked at the desk, right there was a green little cricket with a top hat and umbrella jumping up and down.

"Over here!" said the cricket.

The cricket stopped jumping and took off his hat and bowed.

"Cricket's the name," said the cricket. "Jiminy Cricket at your service."

"We hope for your safe return," said Minnie. "Please help the king."

Donald looked at Minnie, Daisy, and Goofy, who saluted. Donald grabbed Goofy.

"You're coming, too!" said Donald.

~somewhere else~

Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy (right on Goofy's hat), were walking down stairs.

"Gawrsh, Jiminy, your world disappeared, too?" said Goofy.

"It was terrible," said Jiminy. "We were scattered. And as far as I can see, I'm the only one who made it to this castle."

"Goofy?" said Donald.

"Oh, right..." said Goofy. "I gotcha. While we're in other worlds, we can't let on where we're from. We've gotta protect the world border."

"'Order,'" corrected Donald.

"Right," said Goofy. "World order. Ah-hyuck!"

Donald sighed.

~somewhat later~

Donald and Goofy were walking down a hall.

"I guess we'll need new duds when we get there," said Goofy.

~in the Gummi Ship Hangar~

Donald and Goofy walked into a hangar, gears were moving and mechanical gloved hands were moving around. A red rocket ship was at the lower level of the hangar. Donald stopped in front of something (don't know what it's called).

"Hello up there?" Donald called out. "Donald Duck to launch crew!"

At a higher level of the hangar, were two chipmunks, the gummi engineers, Chip and Dale.

"Anytime you're ready," said Donald's voice.

Chip, the chipmunk with the neat hair, black nose, and straight front teeth, saluted. Behind him, Dale, the chipmunk with the messy hair, red nose, and buck teeth, ran and jumped onto a lever, pulling it down.

Steam spouted out of the engines and the gears started to move faster. A mechanical gloved hand started to move forward.

A gloved hand was holding Goofy upside-down, while another, Donald. Pluto ran and jumped off the platform and onto the Gummi Ship. Donald, Goofy, Jiminy, and Pluto were now in the Gummi Ship.

Minnie and Daisy were seeing them blast off. Daisy looked at Donald, who gave her a thumb's up.

The Gummi Ship engines were on and the ship was ready for lift off.

"Blast off!!!" yelled Donald.

A neon sign in front of the ship pointed downwards and ahatch opened. The Gummi Ship then went hurtling down.

"WAAAK!" yelled Donald.

"Yaaaaaaa-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooey!!" hollered Goofy.

~outside the world~
Right out in the world was the castle in space. From the bottom of the world, the Gummi Ship fell out and started to fly away.

~Sora's room~

Sora was lying on his bed looking at the ceiling. He looked at a toy boat hanging on the ceiling. Within the boat were two dolls, a boy and girl.

Sora remembered Gabby's words from earlier.

'I just can't wait. Once we set sail, it'll be great.'

Sora looked out the window and saw storm clouds followed by lightening, over the island.

"A storm?" said Sora. "Oh, no, the raft!"

~moments later~

A voice from down stairs called Sora.

"Sora, dinner's ready," said the voice.

It was Sora's mom.

"Come on down," said Sora's mom. "Sora?"

In Sora's room, the window was open and the bed was empty.

Chapter Three

Heroes Are Born

As Sora approached the islands, he noticed a strange sphere of dark energy in the dark sky.

"What's that?" asked Sora.

Sora jumped onto the dock and noticed two boats.

"Riku's boat," said Sora. "And Kairi and Gabby's!"

Creatures started to pop right out of the ground, freaking Sora the hell out.

"AAAAHH!"

Sora heard a scream, it was Gabby's. He turned to see Gabby fall off a tree (not a big surprise for him) and into a bunch of darkness spawn creatures from hell.

"Get 'em off!" yelled Gabby.

Gabby threw the creatures off of her and ran for it...only to run into Sora.

THUD!

Sora and Gabby were now on the ground, in pain.

"Ow..." said Sora.

"Watch where you're...SORA!" said Gabby. "Thank goodness I found you, I can't find Kairi!"

"What about Riku?" asked Sora.

Gabby stood up and looked around. She spotted a silver-haired figure on the mini-island.

"Found him!" said Gabby. "Over there! Kairi might be with him."

"Okay, let's go!" said Sora.

Sora and Gabby ran onto the mini-island and saw Riku, his back turned to them.

"Where's Kairi?" asked Gabby. "I thought she was with you!"

"The door has opened..." said Riku.

"What?" said Sora.

Riku turned to them.

"The door has opened, Sora, Gabby!" said Riku. "Now we can go to the outside world!"

"What are you talking about?" asked Gabby. "We've gotta find Kairi!"

"Kairi's coming with us!" said Riku.

Sora and Gabby stared at Riku.

"Once we step through, we might not be able to come back," said Riku. "We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back. But this may be our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!"

Riku held out his hand.

"Riku..." said Sora.

Darkness spouted from the ground and started to envelop Riku. Sora and Gabby ran to Riku, but was stopped by the darkness. Sora and Gabby tried to grab Riku's hand as the darkness started to envelop them.

The darkness fully enveloped them when a bright light shone out deep within it. The light vanished. Sora looked around and noticed a weapon in his right hand. It was a key-shaped sword. It had a yellow handle with a silver blade and a tri-circular key chain (Mickey Mouse emblem).

Sora looked down to see Gabby on the ground sitting on her legs, in her right hand, too, was another key-shaped sword. It looked exactly like Sora's only the handle was white and the key chain was a white rose.

Voices went through Sora and Gabby's head.

Keyblade...Keyblade...

Sora looked around and noticed a white elegant door in the place of the secret place's entrance. Sora grabbed Gabby's hand and started running towards the door.

"Hey!" said Gabby.

"Just run!" said Sora.

Sora and Gabby ran towards the door, killing the darkness spawn creatures from hell with their newfound weapons. They soon came to the door and stopped. The door opened and they ran in.

Sora and Gabby stopped to see Kairi looking at the crown door (what is with these doors!?).

"Kairi!" said Gabby.

Kairi turned around wearing a tired expression.

"Sora..." Kairi uttered wearily.

Kairi was about to say another word as she reached out a hand, but the door behind her opened. A strong force knocked Kairi into Sora and Gabby.

Sora and Gabby had their arms opened, ready to catch Kairi, but just as they were about to catch her, she disappeared.

The force then knocked Sora and Gabby out of the secret place and land onto what was left of the islands. Wreckage was spinning around the sphere of dark energy. The duo looked around before turning to see a ginormous black creature.

Sora and Gabby looked at each other and nodded. They started to attack the creature.

~later~

The creature was sucked into the sphere of dark energy. Sora was now holding onto the remains of a boat with one hand, the other, Gabby's.

"Don't let go!" said Sora. "Don't let go! Don't let go!!"

Sora started to lose his grip.

"Don't let go!!!" yelled Gabby.

"I'm...trying..." strained Sora.

Sora then lost his grip, but kept his other on Gabby's hand.

"Shit!" yelled Sora.

The dynamic duo was then sucked into the sphere going who-knows-where...
