We Are All Insane

by morbidity_princess 0 reviews

Well basically a poem discussing to some extent mental illness, how we are our own worst nightmares and create our own problems, and the epidemic of self pity. If it sucks, I don't care.

In your ear they whisper lies
Of how your less than nothing
Until finally your sanity dies
Collapsed from all your suffering

You hold all your concentration
On a single task
That of your minds obliteration
Of breaking away lies mask

To finally escape from
The hell you wander through
Even though its your minds sum
Of hatred your thoughts have spew

You trapped yourself inside
Your own worst nightmare
Your mind created the divide
But somehow did it disapear?

Or were you just careless
Releasing your fears upon yourself
Above all else it was reckless
Thinking it wouldn't harm you mental health

You brought these lies upon you
They are all just in your mind
All these things you hold hatred to
Just a creation of your own design

You are your own incubus
Your self your only fear
If only your thoughts wouldn't rush
The truth would be quite clear

You brought your own demise
But was it on purpose?
You knew when you created the lies
That eventually they'd surface

So this must be
A case of psyche suicide
But if the nations do not see
It might become genicide

For it's plaguing us all
We create the pain
Until eventually all will fall
For we are all insane
