Naruto lay in his bed shirtless, looking absently at the white ceiling. His life seemed poignant in that moment, he felt like a genuine drama queen, always crying about his beloved Sasuke and going after Itachi for the loved he was craving. He was really getting tired of it, Naruto needed to move on, pursue a new objective.

That’s why he had decided to call up the band and get serious once it for all. Kakashi had said they could play at Konoha High’s music festival and they need to practice for it, be the best band ever. He had practically cried to Itachi so he would accompany him to practice, since Naruto couldn’t survive without him now, he had become too dependent on him. The Uchiha accepted, knowing he had to be around Naruto to protect him since he was very susceptible.

When they arrived to Sakura’s house together, Gaara, Sai and Kakashi were already there tuning up their gear. Naruto’s old set of drums was there, since he had left it there to avoid complications on the transportation of so much equipment.

“Hi Naruto!” Sakura greeted him with a hug. She was wearing a cute red dress and black high heels, looking much older than her usual little kid appearance. She then looked at Itachi and smiled. “Nice to see you Itachi-san!”

“Hello Haruno-san,” he said in his usual dark voice.

Kakashi immediately looked Itachi.”What the hell are you doing here?” he asked, walking closer to them.

“I asked him to come,” Naruto answered.

“I see,” Kakashi said, looking carefully at them. “Well Naruto, I guess you should get ready.”

“Sure, sensei,” he said and went over to his drums.

Gaara looked carefully at Itachi, knowing he looked very familiar but not relating him to anyone since he had no idea he was in fact Sasuke’s brother. He didn’t like the way he looked at Naruto or the way the younger boy smiled when he saw him. It reminded him of when he was with the Uchiha and he hated it.

They started playing. Itachi listened to them along with Kakashi. He couldn’t help notice how happy he looked playing with them; it made him feel happy too.

“Tell me now Itachi, what are you doing here?” Kakashi asked again, trying to dissimulate it and act as if he was just listening to the band.

“I think Naruto already answered that question,” Itachi answered.

“You know what I mean…”

“Leader sent me,” Itachi said. “He wants Naruto back.”

Kakashi looked at Itachi. “Oh really? I thought the old man was dead by now.”

“Yes, he told me he wanted Naruto to be with him, but I can’t take him yet not until we find Sasuke.”

“Does he know the truth?”

“No, leader want to tell him everything himself,” Itachi answered.

“I assumed that, I was talking about you and Sasuke. Did you tell him the truth about your parents?”

“That I did tell him, well he kind of pulled it out of me.”

Kakashi smiled. “Don’t you think he’s better of not seen Sasuke again? He seems pretty happy with you.”

“No,” Itachi said bluntly. “He’s not happy with me, he’s just using me to try to fill in that gap that was left in his heart when Sasuke left, but he doesn’t love me. He will never love me.”

Kakashi sighted. “Are you sure about that?”

“Positive, Naruto and Sasuke are meant to be. No one will ever change that.”

The band finished playing. “Did you like it Itachi?!” Naruto screamed.

Itachi smiled in a way only Naruto could see it was a smile. “Yes, I did Naruto!”

“Awesome!” he screamed. “Let’s play another!!”
