DREAM
I try to write the words,
Of our one-sided affair.
But it’s hard to put it down.
Knowing you don’t care.
I want to be yours,
But you’re too far away.
So I’ll just keep on dreaming,
‘Til we meet one day.
I don’t mean just in passing,
I mean really talk.
About something meaningful,
While we take a walk.
I want you to hold me tight,
And take all of the pain away.
Then could you just say to me,
“I love you,” everyday?
I know it won’t work out like that,
But I can always dream.
Who really knows that anyway?
Nothing’s ever as it seems.
