You don't glance over
You don't pass by
You don't seem to notice
If I start to cry.
Am I invisible?
Or are you just blind?
If I looked into your mind
I know what I'd find.
Not thoughts about me
Or memories, you see
I'm not that important
It's her that you need.
A girl that's so pretty
And happy and sweet
A girl who won't show that
It's you that she needs.
A girl who won't love you
The way that I do
A girl that won't always
Be feeling so blue
Don't mind me though, sweet heart
I know you don't care
All the tension that's there
Isn't too hard to bear.
I know that you'll notice me
Someday, I hope,
But for now I can deal and I'll
Learn how to cope.
