Flames of Ignorance

by morbidity_princess 0 reviews

A little poem, just a thought, of how ignorance consumes you. Of course the terms I use are metaphoric, the flames of ignorance aren't really flames.

Burning just beneath the ground,
A catastrophic blaze,
Rising up and claiming all
That step into the haze.

So step right up and fall right through,
As the Earth crumbles around.
Soon you will succumb to
The flames beneath the ground.

It looks just like a fog,
But do not be deceived.
It's just a clever cover
That should not be believed.

There's nowhere to run
From it you can not hide
As it's everywhere you'll go
Burning on the underside.

So you can only wait
To be consumed
As the Flames of Ignorance
Overwhelm you.
