it gets worse

it gets worse with time
slowly im fading into the awaiting darkness
the weight gets heavier
the pain increases
still i hope for a different tune
a soft tune filled with the love that is out of my reach
i cry my pain, i scream my hurt
and still the weight continues to crush my already damaged heart
i hope for the tune that will spread light on the oncomming darkness
but even that hope is dimming as my own light fades
and blends with the surrounding darkness
