In the Halls
Manny: (Runs up to Emma) Hey, did you hear? Some new guys are going to Degrassi! (Squeals) Do you think that they're gonna be hot? I want to go out with someone so I can forget about that idiot Craig. I can't believe he tricked me into going out with him...
Emma: (Rolls eyes) C'mon Manny, you know that you're just upset that he cheated on you. He's not that stupid. And he didn't trick you into going out with him. I think he was good at first.
Manny: Hey! Why are you defending him, after all, you hate him too! Don't you! I mean, he got your best friend pregnant.
Emma: You know Manny, its not all his fault. You did, afterall, want to have sex with him.
Manny: Yeah... yeah... (Shrugs)
Emma: Well... I heard the kids are in a band. I don't think they have a name for it yet though..
JT: (Pops Up) Hey guys! Whatsup?
Emma: We're talking about the new students that are coming to Degrassi. Do you think they'll be cool?
JT: I don't know, I wasn't paying attention to what Mr. Simpson was telling us.
Emma: Hey... um... how's things with Liberty? She seemed pretty upset when I saw her in the hall.
Manny: Yeah! What'd you do to her?
JT: Nothing! She was just upset. (Shrugs)
Emma: (Looks at JT suspiciously) Look, JT, are you sure nothing is wrong?
JT: Yea, I'm sure! Look! Could you stop asking me! Its my life. You don't need to know what happens in it.
Manny: Whoa, settle down JT. We were just asking a question.
JT: Yeah? Well next time, don't. I'd like to keep some things quiet! (Storms off)
Manny: Do you think something's wrong with him and Liberty? (Stares off into space)
Emma/Manny: Definatly.
Emma: And we're going to find out. Tonight.
Scene 2
In Geography Class
JT: (Whispers angrily) Liberty, how could you be pregnant!?
Liberty: Well, JT, its not like I chose to be pregnant! I'm not ready for this either! JT. Every day, I wake up and wish I wasn't pregnant. Hoping that maybe it'll go away.
JT: I can't believe this. Are you sure you're pregnant?
Liberty: If you want proof, buy a pregnancy test. Today. After school.
Mr. Simpson: Liberty, JT, do you have something to share with the class?
Liberty: (Looks down) ... Er.. no Mr. Simpson. Sorry. We'll be quiet now.
(Liberty & JT stop talking for five minutes)
JT: You mean you haven't taken one yet?
Liberty: Look. A girl just knows when it happens. They're many ways to make sure of it. Which include frequent urination. (Stands up) Mr. Simpson!! (Walks out of room to go to bathroom)
JT: (Pounds head on desk)
