Last Dance
0 ReviewsAnna does some thinking about her and Tsuzuki and decides that is time that she "repaied" him for his kindness. A fresh and nice surreal lemon for all to read.
I’m so glad you came
I’m so glad you remembered
To see how we're ending
Our last dance together
Expectant
Too punctual
But prettier than ever
I really believe that this time it's forever
But older than me now
More constant
More real
And the fur and the mouth and the innocence
Turned to hair and contentment
That hangs in a basement
A woman now standing where once
There was only a girl
I’m so glad you came
I’m so glad you remembered
The walking through walls in the heart of December
The blindness of happiness
Of falling down laughing
And i really believed that this time was forever
But Christmas falls late now
Flatter and colder
And never as bright as when we used to fall
All this in an instant
Before i can kiss you
A woman now standing where once
There was only a girl
I’m so glad you came
I’m so glad you remembered
To see how we're ending
Our last dance together
Reluctantly
Cautiously
But prettier than ever
I really believe that this time it's forever
But Christmas falls late now
Flatter and colder
And never as bright as when we used to fall
And even if we drink
I don't think we would kiss in the way that we did
When the woman
Was only a girl
--“Last Dance” by the Cure (1989)
Halloween 1999. It rained that night too. Tsuzuki held a scared Anna in his arms while they sat in the shed, waiting. The poor girl looked shaken up from tonight’s events. Tsuzuki tried to calm her down.
“Do you miss the rain?” he asked. The girl turned to him, looking stunned. The Shinigami realized it was too early for that.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled. “Just trying to lighten things up here.” The girl still looked at him and said nothing. Tsuzuki sighed and looked out.
“Okay,” he said. “We can just sit here and stay silent.” Anna just looked out the open door and said nothing.
“Right…” Tsuzuki mumbled. They sat in silence the whole night. The rain helped Anna calm down as she held onto her kitty charm. Then at midnight, Tsuzuki gave her that now immortal kiss.
July 1st, 2009. It’s raining today too. Nightfall walked in and took a seat. Anna sat in the dark living room, lost in her mind. That morning kiss messed with her head. Tsuzuki seemed to have begun ripping open the gates to her soul. On one hand, Anna felt excited for this sudden change. But yet, it scared her. Scared her deeply. That glass box didn’t go up in a day. It took years. Now, Tsuzuki’s kiss this morning put a crack in it.
Anna turned and looked down the hall. Rihoko, Yoko-chan, and Seita were already asleep. Tsuzuki came back this evening, just like he promised. Just like he promised. Yet, Anna couldn’t face him. Not after this morning.
The kiss was good, don’t get her wrong. No, it was great. Nope. Great didn’t do it justice. No words could even measure such a kiss to her. That’s not the point, however. Anna feared what would happen next. Things were different now. That kiss could lead to more… Touching… She and him naked under the sheets…
Anna trembled at the thought of him being so close. She took in deep breaths to calm down. The woman felt numb all over.
“Right…” she mumbled to herself. Anna closed her eyes to clear her head. That always works. It did… at first. But then, a memory entered her head. It was Halloween ’99. After Daisuke’s death and before the kiss. Tsuzuki asked her a question then. What was it? What did he say? Anna concentrated hard for her answer.
Do you miss the rain? It didn’t mean much at the time. Now, it seemed to be helping her calm down. Suddenly, Anna began to remember the Shinigami’s warmth. Tsuzuki was so good to her after all. Even after all this time, he still cared about her. Tsuzuki did risk his job to resurrect her after all. That says so much right there. And he’s been helping her fight her family. Then, there was that kiss this morning. All of that for nothing in return. She had to thank him somehow.
Anna slowly opened her eyes. An aroused smile slowly spread across her face. She decided to “repay” Tsuzuki for all that he had done. She slowly stood up and walked down the hall.
The woman found Tsuzuki sitting at her desk. He looked up and saw her.
“Yes?” he asked. Anna walked closer to him in the dark.
“You’re right,” she whispered. “I do miss the rain!” Anna kissed him on the lips. Tsuzuki slowly kissed her back as he took her into his arms. This time, neither one could hold back. Tsuzuki slowly slipped his tongue into her mouth. Anna found herself more than happy to reciprocate the gesture.
Tsuzuki pushed her back onto the futon below. Anna trembled as she felt the sheets touch the back of her bare knees. This was just like her with Henry in ’02. No, this was different. Anna felt her fears rising and disappearing like soapy bubbles. This felt so… natural.
Tsuzuki’s kisses move down to her neck as his hands like clutched her breasts. A soft whimper escaped from her lips. The Shinigami paused and looked up. Anna stared at him with pleading eyes.
“You want me to keep on?” he asked. Anna felt her heart racing with a new rush.
“Yes!” she whispered.
“Are you sure?” he asked in a low voice. “I can stop here if you want. But, that’s only if you want me to.” Anna reached out and gently stroked his cheek.
“No,” she said. “Keep on. I really want this. I want you to.” Tsuzuki kissed her again on the lips.
“Okay then,” he whispered as he took off his tie. His hands strayed down to the sides of her short, lacy red and white sundress. Anna lifted up her arms as he slid it over her head. Tsuzuki threw the dress to the floor. Anna felt her body lost between fear and pleasure. Tsuzuki was now crossing into untouched landscapes. He knelt down and kissed his crush again. Anna prepared to make herself relax to help her enjoy her first real sexual experience. To her surprise, Anna was already relaxed. In fact, she found herself getting into it.
She reached up and gently unbuttoned Tsuzuki’s shirt. He started breathed harder as he let her do so. His shirt joined her dress in a few seconds. Tsuzuki let her hands roam through her russet reddish-brown hair. His fingers found the black band holding her ponytail in place and pulled it off. Anna’s hair gracefully fell loose to her shoulders. Tsuzuki gently kissed on her neck and shoulders. Anna shut her eyes to enjoy it more. She moaned softly as she felt herself getting wet.
Her hands strayed down to waist. She began fastening his belt and undoing his trousers. Anna paused and peeked up as if to get permission. Tsuzuki took her by the wrists and guided her to finish. Anna was startled at the gesture as she started to take his trousers off. She didn’t pause to strip him of his boxers this time. The Shinigami was naked and waiting now. He had revealed himself to her, now she had to do the same.
Tsuzuki slipped his hands behind Anna’s back and took hold of her black, lacy bra. She had butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Tsuzuki seemed to sense that Anna was getting tense again. He could feel her trembling underneath him. The Shinigami leaned into Anna’s hot ear.
“It’s okay,” he whispered. “I’ll take good care of you. I’ll be really gentle, I promise.” Tsuzuki softly licked her on the ear lobe as if to guarantee his words. Anna trembled as she shut her eyes again.
“Take me,” she whispered. “I am yours tonight.” Tsuzuki lightly stroked her hair.
“That’s better,” he whispered. The Shinigami took his time unhooking her bra. Anna whimpered at touch again. Tsuzuki slid off the bra and flung it to floor with the rest of the clothes. Only one article of clothing left. Tsuzuki took a moment for her to settle down. When she was calmer, the Shinigami slid his hands down to her hips. He grabbed the sides of Anna’s black and pink lacy panties and slid them off. They fell on his shirt on the floor. His date slowly spread her legs for him and waited nervously. The Shinigami lightly held her shoulders. He leaned in close to her ear.
“I’ll be gentle tonight,” Tsuzuki assured her. Anna nodded, quickly.
Nightfall at the House of Lotus Heaven. A young bride stood near the lake, looking at the water below. She had just stepped out for a moment to get some air. Tonight was her wedding night. The eighteen-year-old bride had just married a young, powerful lord. Their families threw them a lavish wedding celebration. But yet, the bride felt out of place.
Her parents arranged this marriage. They needed to help keep their inn open. The bride never met her new husband. She heard many things about him. Some said that he was a powerful demon in a human form. That made her pretty nervous. But there, was another reason for her to worry. The problem was with the bride herself. She just didn’t seem to know how to connect with people. Her family was always isolated. The bride never had many friends growing up. Her father home-schooled her. She was taught to be proper, but be herself and independent all at the same time. Despite all that she had learned, the bride still couldn’t connect with people. Her parents saw this and tried to alleviate the problem with their daughter. Thus this marriage…
The bride shuddered as a warm spring night breeze blew over her. She wasn’t cold. On the contrary, she felt hot. She had taken off most of her wedding accessories. The only thing that she had on was her beautiful white wedding kimono. Even that didn’t feel right on her. She just felt out of place with her life.
The bride looked above her. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom tonight. Her new husband had many cherry trees in their courtyard. (Still strange to call it “their” courtyard.) The blossoms seemed so pretty…
“Do you like them?” a voice behind her asked. The bride froze in her place. It was her husband. She didn’t know how to interact with him alone. She decided it would be in their best interest to start now.
“Yes,” she said without turning around. “They are very beautiful. Very beautiful.” Silence.
“My love, why do you fear me?” he asked.
“My love. How can you say that you love me when we just met?”
“I have watched you for years.” The bride looked surprised, but didn’t turn around.
“Years?” she asked. “But that’s not possible.”
“It is true,” he said. “I have watched for many years and I have fallen madly in love with you.” The bride was surprised to hear this. His words stirred something in her heart. But yet, doubt dominated her mind.
“But, I have heard stories.”
“Stories? What stories?” The bride swallowed for a little bit before speaking. Her mind feared the worst that could come.
“Tell me honestly, are you a demon or not?” Silence. Her new husband looked nervous. Could he tell her the truth? Might as well. They were married now.
“Yes, but I am not evil. I have been imprisoned on earth since the Meji Era. I have led a lonely and woeful life. I was blessed with my powers and wealth to help me survive over the years. My adoptive family has done the best that they could for me, even after they knew what I was. But, it was never enough. Then, I saw you at your family’s inn while I was in town years ago. Since then, I fell in love with you and watched over you. Your parents came to me for marriage and here we are now.” The bride listened to his story in silence. Each word moved her. He sounded so genuine. But yet…
“How can I trust your words?”
“I can’t prove that with words, but give me a chance to prove it to you with love.”
“Will you be good to me?”
“I will be very good to you. I will be faithful and keep you happy.”
“Will I see your true form?”
“I will take whatever form you like.” Silence. The bride thought about this for a moment. He seemed so real. He really did love her. But, could she bring herself to do the same? It could be worse. Her new husband could be ugly, possessive, jealous, and abusive. But, he seemed like a good man, demon or not.
“Alright, I will make this marriage work.”
“I thank you, my love. Turn around to me. I want to see your face.” The bride slowly complied. Surprise washed over her made-up face. The young lord, her new husband, was a handsome young man close to her age, maybe a little older, standing before her. He had short black-brown hair and amethyst eyes. He was only dressed in a light, white, cotton robe with the moonlight highlighting the inside. The bride’s face turned a bright red.
“Oh wow!” she mouthed softly. The young lord disrobed before her. He embraced his bride and kissed her on the lips. The fresh, white lotus blossom she had in her hair fell to the ground and became a bright blood red. The young lord stripped off his bride’s kimono and made love to her.
The bride found herself slowly floating away into Aphrodite’s silk sea of swirling pink and red. Her body felt light and naked in his arms. His kisses made her head swim with pink clouds. His body and love made her into a new woman.
The young lord saw both the girl he had watched for many years and the woman she was today in his bride. His mind couldn’t separate the two. The beauty and innocence of both spiraled him into an intoxicated trance. He felt so dirty, but this was only out of his love for her. Nothing more, nothing less. He truly loved his bride.
The wedding kimono lie in a heap of now blood crimson silk in the cool, wet spring grass.
Tsuzuki collapsed beside Anna once he had finished coming inside of her. Both lied on her futon, naked in a sea of passionate sweat. Both were too tired to speak. Anna looked up and noticed her necklace in the container on her desk. She smiled as pleasant memories filled her head. Tsuzuki looked up and noticed it.
“What are you thinking?” he asked. Anna reached up and pulled down her necklace. She showed it to her date.
“Papa gave this to me on the day he died,” she said. “I practically begged him to buy it for me. It was his last present to me.”
“Just like Kirika’s bracelet to him?”
“Yes.” Anna grabbed onto Tsuzuki’s hand. The Shinigami looked her deep in her desperate greenish-brown eyes.
“Tsuzuki don’t ever leave me,” she whispered. “Please stay with me.” He gave her a gentle smile.
“Alright,” he said. “But you don’t have to call me by my last name anymore. My name is Asato. Can you say that?”
“A-sa-to,” Anna said back to him softly. Tsuzuki smiled at her, kindly.
“Very good, Anna-chan,” he whispered.
“Mmm…” she murmured as she was drifting off to an afterglow of dreams. The last thing Anna could remember was Tsuzuki gently covering her with the blanket.
