Paper Bag:

I don't see why everyone's on edge for. So a big-shot journalist is coming to check us out. I'm confident we're going to be fine. We are capable enough to pull it off. Hell, we've been in journalism for years. We just need to work hard for the next few weeks and we'll be fine. In the meantime, resting is important. I take my own advice tightly. So after work, I headed out to my favorite bar.

Charlie's has been in business since the early seventies. Young singles like me come out here for a good time. This was my place to get away and unwind. I sat down at the bar. The setting and elements were in my favor tonight. Tonight, I had on a little black dress and golden kitten heels. I even had my "date me" purse with me. What was the occasion for me to be dressed up like this? Well, I will tell you. I have a date tonight! Yes, my friends. Mama Beth has a date with that cutie-boy William Beckett. We have been getting on with him over the summer. We might actually have something going here. Tonight will determine that for the start.

I walked into Charlie's and looked around in the bar. I spotted him already at the bar. My glossy lips curved into a smile. "Perfect," I thought. "He's here just in time." I gracefully walked over to the bar. I sat down next to my date. He looked up and saw me. A smile came onto his face.

"Hi," he said. I smiled back at him.

"Hi," I said.

"Buy you a drink?" William asked.

"Sure," I said. He turned to the bar tender. Charlie looked up and saw William and I. He gave me a little smile.

"Can I help you tonight?" he asked. William gave him a sexy little smile.

"Just a drink for me and my lady friend tonight," he said. Charlie turned to me with his smile.

"Hot date tonight?" he asked.

"Yes!" William and I said. The bar tender winked at us.

"Coming up," he said. Then, he got right to work with our days. William turned back to me. He gave me a little kiss on the lips. I kissed him back softly. We softly parted from each other.

"How are you?" William asked. I smiled at him kindly.

"Good," I said. "We're having a big-shot journalist come by and see our work."

"Whoa!" he said. "Is it hectic at BRM?"

"Oh yes," I said. William looked at me, oddly. I smiled at him.

"What?" I asked. William blinked at me once.

"You're not stressed?" he asked. I shook my head at him.

"No," I said easily.

"Why not?" he asked. I shrugged as I shook my head at him.

"Why worry at all?" I asked. "I'm confident that we are all going to do great. We just have to work hard and give it all." William nodded as thought about my words.

"Really now?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said. My date smiled at me in a cheeky way.

"I'll drink to that!" he cheered.

"So will I!" I said back. With that, Charlie served us our drinks.

"Thanks," William said as he took the drinks. He handed me my glass. I took it with a smile on my face. My shimmery gold nails wrapped around the glass handle as I held it up in the air.

"Cheers to confidence," I said.

"Thanks," William said back. We toasted our drinks and took a sip. William glanced over at me after he took a sip.

"Want to come back with me tonight?" he asked. I gave him a flirty little smile.

"I would love that," I said. We took more of our drinks from there. Tonight was great, thank you. I think William and I could have something great going on. I would have to have more dates with him to see.
