Ah! So the H/Hr and the hints of H/Hr/L (which I know you so love, Doc) begin.

I loved the Death Eater debriefing. Your view of Voldemort here is both more human and more inhuman than most other authors'. He does not come across as a stereotype but it is still clear that this is an evil mastermind who has traded his humanity for power.

Ron and Ginny were well written too. People forget that Ginny grew up between GoF and OotP and became a far more rounded person in terms of her attitude and temper.

I've read this story over at Fictionalley.org and it remains my favorite amongst your works. I hope you update regularly.

REgarding strange parents who leave their daughter home alone with a boy after being attacked the day/night before and think it is cute that they are asleep together on a sofa:
Have they a brain in their head? If the wizards say they "should" be safe from DE attack, they should get out of Dodge NOW. Those wizards haven't shown much intelligence up to now. Then there is the fact that their little girl is home alone with a boy she is "crushing" and both of them are not following Moody's advice at all.
Finally, where is Hedwig? She always seems to get lost in the shuffle. Speaking of her, I predicted that she would die in book 7, but I didn't think it would be in such a stupid way. If Harry had a brain, he would have released her earlier and taken a fake owl along with the others. Of course, the fact that everyone was thoroughly trained by Bumbles to always treat Harry like a prized mushroom probably didn't do anything for anyone's longevity.

noylj: Hermione is a target at least as large as Harry by being both a Muggleborn witch and his friend - Hermione dating Harry is irrelevant from that end. Also, these same Grangers just kicked DE butt (out of all the attacks Riddle tried, a grand total of one was successful). Even more telling, with Harry there, the Grangers' defenses are actually stronger, not weaker.
