Narrator: Today was the start of a new day in the pridelands. Just the day before, was the crowning of a new King and Queen. The ex- King and Queen Simba and Nala sat inside of Pride Rock, enjoying their time together as their daughter and son- on- law took over the royal duties. As they go walking around for the morning patrol, Kiara and Kovu began talking.

Kiara: Kovu, I was thinking...

Kovu: About?

Kiara: Well... about having kids... I would love to have cubs...

Kovu: I would love to have cubs too...

Kiara: But since we just took over the royal duties, I think we should wait a bit... well, just until we get used to it... and we don't have alot to do...

Kovu: sounds good... nuzzles her softly

Later in the day

Simba: walks outside and stands in the warm desert sun and looks out at his old kingdom Nala walks out and nuzzles his mane

Nala: Simba? Are you okay?

Simba: I'm fine...

Nala: what seems to be bothering you?

Simba: I feel like something is going to happen... but I cant put my mane on it...

Nala: I'm sure it is nothing... come back to Pride Rock...
