We ran past Mrs. Way on the couch and shoved through the front door. As soon as I pulled the passenger door shut, Frank took off. He was going so fast, that looking out the window made me feel sick. In record time, he pulled to a stop in front of my house.

"12:01 Frank! You just saved my life!" I laughed while hugging him goodbye.

"Anytime! Have a good night Eva! I'll talk to you tomorrow....well later today!" He called as I stepped out of the car. Before I opened my front door, I turned to wave to Frank. He waved back and beeped his horn as he took off down the street. The house was completly dark and silent. I took advantage of everyone sleeping and crept into my bedroom. My jeans got replaced by some old sweats, and I pulled of my hoodie. Without even taking off my makeup, I climbed into bed. As I laied in my dark blankets and sheets, I thought of everything that had happened that day. From meeting Shannon to landing a job with ann amizing band. Frankie's text and the amazing band practice. It all swirled around in my head until I finally decided to sleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I immediately thought of last night. A smile crossed my face. I dragged myslef across the hall into my bathroom. My face still showed some traces of my makeup form last night, but my hair actually looke pretty good. I pulled it back into a loose pony-tail and quickly washed my face. After slipping on my favorite slippers, I headed towards the smell of coffee in the kitchen. As soon as my aunt and uncle saw me, they stopped their conversation.

"So 12:02 hun?" Austin asked while I floated to the coffee machine. I turned to face him.

"Oh come on! 2 minutes!" He held up a hand.

"Stop. I'm kidding! It's fine!" He laughed. Jen laughed too. I rolled my eyes and returned to filling my mug. When my coffee was loaded with sugar and cream, I took a seat at the small kitchen table with my family.

"Well sweetie, how was last night?" Aunt Jen placed her hand on my arm.

"It was fuc- um......it was amazing!" My aunt hated when I cursed. I look a sip of my coffee.

"Well that's great. You know babe, this intern thing you're doing might help keep your mind off of.." I jumped up from the with my mug in hand.

"I'm not talking about that Aunt Jen." My parents were a sore subject with me and I wasn't about to talk about them now. She looked up at me with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, it's just...I really don't want to talk about it. Please." She nodded.

"I understand. I'm sorry hun." She stood up and gave me a hug. Austin joined in to. After a few seconds, I pushed away. Just then, I heard a faint ringing.

"Gotta get that! Might me my boss!" They laughed as I darted up the stairs. I emptied my bad onto my bed, and slid open my phone. "Hello?"

"Hey Eva! It's Gerard!"

"Oh hey! What's up?"

"Um...we're all going out to lunch and then we might stop by the mall. Do you want to come?"

"Yeah that sounds great!"

"Awesome! Well can we come pick you up in like...an hour? Maybe we can meet your folks?"

"Sure! I'll be ready!"

"Thanks, see ya then!"

"Bye Gerard!" I hung up the phone and ran back down the stairs. I popped my head into the kitchen. "Hey guys! Just a little heads up, the band, their girlfriends and the other intern are all coimg over to meet you guys. I'm going to lunch with them." The words flew out of my mouth.

"Oh that's nice. What time will they be here?" My aunt asked.

"An hour." She jumped up from the table.

"Come on Austin! We need to get going! The house is a mess!" She pulled him up up the stairs. "Eva! Can you start cleaning up a little in the living room?" Jen called over her shoulder. I hurried into our little living room. Jen was right. It was a mess.

"Fuck." I muttered. Before I knew it I was vaccuming, and dusting like crazy. Finally, Austin and Jen came downstairs. They had changed our of their pajamas and looked presentable.

"We'll take it from here. You go get ready. You only have 30 minutes." I sighed and ran up to the bathroom. After showering, I ran across the hall and threw on a pair of black skinnies and a red v-neck. I threw on my red converse and darted back across the hall to work on my hair and makeup. The blow-dryer whirred oh high, as I dried my hair. It didn't take long considering the warmth of the summer air. When that was done, I quickly finished my makeup and grabbed my bag from my bedroom. The last pillows were being placed, when the doorbell rang.
