Elliot's P.O.V.

It's lunch time. I already went to every class room for books. I got 5, now it's time to eat. I scarf down my luchable before any one get's to the lunch table. This semesters crowd is Emma, Jace, and Jason. We're the rejects with a hint of scene kid.

I look over to Jason who never ever brings lunch. No wonder he's a stick. "Hey!" I poke him. "Wake up sleepy head!" He looks at me, I poke him again. "Time to waky uppy!" I'm the only one who could do this to him. It's really fun. "Jaaaaasssssssoooooonnnnn!" I poke him again, he laughs.

"Yes?" He asks with a raised brow.

"HI!" I giggle, eatting the last of my cheese.

He smirks. "Your humorous."

"And you say big words I only half understand." I'm not lying about my stupidity, ya' know. I'm not that bright.

He laughs at me and puts his head down. I open my mouth, but was interupted by Emma. "Hello planet loner! I've come to take over in the name of the most awsomest person on earth! Emma!" She slaps her tray down, not caring what falls off.

"Then the tallest freshman here came and ate Emma to take planet loner for himself! MUAHAHAHA!" Jace said sitting down.

"I gots a question!" Emma says, raising her hand.

"Hmmmm, yess Emma!" I permit her to speak.

"Since when did this school have cliques?" She asked. What?! I look around. It's worse. all the jock were sitting together, okay, but seeing the groups of the same colors. Black for the scene, Pink for the preps, green for the art freaks, and the scariest thing was how at our table we were all wearing some kind of blue.

"No." I say shortly.

"No what?" Emma asked loudly.

"No, I'm not standing for this." I can't stand the cookie cutter high school idea. It makes me sick. I want to puke. But I don't, I do something else. "Give me you speakers, J." I say to him.

"What?! Why?!" He yells.

"Just give them to me." I stick my hand out. He clutched them before giving them to me. I take out my iPod touch, plugging the long cord. I go to one of my favorite songs.

I stand up, placing a leg on my chair to life myself to the table. I've seen this day coming, but not so soon. I clear my throat.

"Is this what we've come to?" I yell into the corwd. "We were never this diffrent! I grew up with you people! Most of you have no clue who I am, but I know all of you. Like you!" I point to a small 11th grader, he was frail and had red hair. "Your scott Neelly! you were a fourth grader when I was in first grade! Your stared in a play a year later! I remember you! But now, we're all closed off from eachoher! Even last semester we weren't like this! What happend?!" I look over to Mina, my best friend in 6th grade, then, she turned on me. "Mina! We were best friends! I don't forgive you, but I wish I didn't hate you."

I saw some tears in peoples eyes, remembering old friends, or just crying. "I say all of this stops! Because we should all at least combind! If you agree with me, you'll sing along!" I press play and lyrics flooded the lunch room.

When I was a young boy,
My father took me into the city
To see a marching band.

He said, "Son when you grow up,
would you be the saviour of the broken,
the beaten and the damned?"
He said "Will you defeat them,
your demons, and all the non-believers,
the plans that they have made?"
"Because one day I'll leave you,
A phantom to lead you in the summer,
To join The Black Parade."

When I was a young boy,
My father took me into the city
To see a marching band.
He said, "Son when you grow up,
would you be the saviour of the broken,
the beaten and the damned?"

Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me.
And other times I feel like I should go.
And through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets.
And when you're gone we want you all to know.

We'll carry on,
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And in my heart I can't contain it
The anthem won't explain it.

A world that sends you reeling from decimated dreams
Your misery and hate will kill us all.
So paint it black and take it back
Let's shout it loud and clear
Defiant to the end we hear the call

To carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches

On and on we carry through the fears
Ooh oh ohhhh
Disappointed faces of your peers
Ooh oh ohhhh
Take a look at me cause I could not care at all

Do or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
I won't explain or say I'm sorry
I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar
Give a cheer for all the broken
Listen here, because it's who we are
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero
Just a boy, who had to sing this song
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero
I! don't! care!

We'll carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches on

Do or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part (We'll carry on)

Do or die, you'll never make me (We'll carry on)
Because the world will never take my heart (We'll carry on)
Go and try, you'll never break me (We'll carry)
We want it all, we wanna play this part (We'll carry on)

I sing with it. At first no one did, then more and more sarted, standing up, crying, coming together. As soon as that was over I put on another.

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say.
I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.
For all the dirty looks, the photographs your boyfriend took,
Remember when you broke your foot from jumping out the second floor?

I'm not okay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
You wear me out

What will it take to show you that it's not the life it seems?
(I'm not okay)
I've told you time and time again you sing the words but don't know what it means
(I'm not okay)
To be a joke and look, another line without a hook
I held you close as we both shook for the last time take a good hard look!

I'm not okay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
You wear me out

Forget about the dirty looks
The photographs your boyfriend took
You said you read me like a book, but the pages all are torn and frayed

I'm okay
I'm okay!
I'm okay, now
(I'm okay, now)

But you really need to listen to me
Because I'm telling you the truth
I mean this, I'm okay!
(Trust Me)

I'm not okay
I'm not okay
Well, I'm not okay
I'm not o-fucking-kay
I'm not okay
I'm not okay
(Okay)

Now it was a consert, kids coming up and wanting more of it. Some stayed in fear of detention, but most knew, they couldn't make all of them. They knew that it was me getting in trouble.

"ELLIOT BURNS!" Mr. Harvell scream at me.

I hold out my hands. "Take me away, but you know I did the right thing." He said nothing a took me to his office, leaving the music playing.
