Eva learns something about Mikey's girlfriend and gets some mixed feelings along with it.
"Hey, E!" Frankie pushed past everyone else and pulled me in for a hug.
"Hey Frank!" He pulled away and stood next to me as I welcomed everyone else into my cramped little home. Isabella came in next. She gave me a small wave and went to stand next to Frank. Next came Gerard, Amy, Ray and Romy. Shannon bounded through the door.
"Sup?" She gave me a hug. The last to come in were Mikey and Taylor. Mikey offered a one armed hug, but all I got from Taylor was a death glare. All of us stood awkwardly in the doorway, until I ushered them into the living room.
"Um, guys, this is my Aunt Jen and my Uncle Austin." They looked like they were about to pee their pants, but offered a wave.
"Nice to meet you guys! I'm Gerard." He reached a hand out to my uncle, who firmly shook it. Everyone else did the same, except for Taylor. After realizing there really wasn't anywhere left to sit, everyone sat in a heap on the ground.
"So.....what are you guys planning on doing today?" You could tell by the tone in her voice, that Jen really wanted all of us out of her house.
"Well actually, we were going to grab a bite to eat and then hit the mall. I think we are going to meet up with Maria. She's our manager. I don't think Eva and Shannon have met her yet." My aunt nodded.
"That sounds...lovely." The tension in the room was killing me.
"Yeah, lovely. Well I think we better get going!" I said cheerfully, jumping up and grabbing my bag. The rest of the girls followed.
"Um....guys? Can I talk to the guys a minute?" I tried to stop Austin.
"Please, no!" I begged. "We're going to be late." He gave me a disapproving look.
"Late for what?" He sighed.
"Oh ya know.....stuff. Well love you guys! Bye!" I hurried everyone out the door before my family could embarrass me any more. "That was a close one." The warm summer air heated my pale skin. Parked outside was Frank's car and a big white van. Gerard opened the door and motioned for us to climb in. Isabella slid into the front seat, and Shannon, Taylor and Romy took a seat in the back. I frowned, realizing there was no where left to sit. Frank suddenly ran over to me and pulled my arm.
"Have no fear Eva! You can ride with me and Ray and Mikey!" He said, dragging me over to the car.
"Are you sure? I could squeeze in with Shannon." He opened the car door for me.
"Really? It's not like we're gonna fuckin' bite you!" Frank laughed, walking around to the driver's side. I climbed into the backseat. Ray slid into the front seat, leaving Mikey to come sit next to me. After everyone was settled in, Frankie took off after the white van. "Hey Eva?" Frank called from the front seat.
"Do you have your glasses with you?" He asked, a hint of laughter in his voice. I dug around in my bag before answering.
"Can you like put them on? Please!" I had no clue why Frankie wanted me to put my glasses on, but I did what he said. "Awwww! Look Ray! The two nerds in the backseat! Both with their stupid glasses and extremely skinny bodies. They're perfect for eachother! Kiss! Kiss!" Ray laughed along, agreeing with Frank. Where did that come from? It was so out of the blue.
"What the hell Frank? Why would you even say that? Mikey has a girlfriend. I'm sure she would be just thrilled to hear thet I kissed her boyfriend." I tried to hide my true feelings by flipping on Frank. He laughed, then gasped in realization.
"Ooo! But you never said you wouldn't kiss him! So you'll do it?" I reached my hand up and smacked the back of his head.
"Fuck no! Not that I have anything against Mikey, it's just that one, I've only known you guys for what? 3 days? Two, that's really creepy! And three, like I said before, Mikey has a girlfriend. He and Taylor will get married one day and have a billion kids." Ray coughed from the passenger side.
"Sure hope not." He said under his breath.
"What did you say Ray?" My voice was filled with shock. Did Ray just dis Taylor and Mikey?
"What he said, was that he doesn't like Taylor. I agree. She's kind of a bitch. Not only to us, but to Mikey too." I gasped at Frankie's words. "What? I'm just speaking the truth." I looked over at Mikey. He was looking out the window. I thought he would be pissed, listening to Frankie and Ray say such rude things about Taylor. Instead, he looked like he understood everything they were saying and agreed 100%. I reached over and squeezed his hand. Suprisingly, he didn't pull away.
"Come on guys. Leave Mikey alone. Please?" Frankie still giggled.
"Awww, fine! But hey, look who's sticking up for Mikey! Taylor wouldn't do that. Hmmm!" Thankfully, that's where the conversation ended. We pulled into the mall's parking lot and parked next to the van. Mikey still had his hand wrapped tighly around mine when I tried to get out of the car. I had to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention, and looked down at our hands. He let mine go.
"It's fine. We better get going." By then, Frankie and Ray had gotten out of the car and were screwing around with Gerard.
"Yeah." Mikey climbed out and closed the door behind me.
