Wal-Mart Wedding
2 Reviews"So....what do you want to do?" He asked.
"What do you mean 'what do I want to do'?"
"Well we aren't just gonna sit around all day are we?" He asked, getting up from the bed.
"Wait, you're staying here?" I was shocked. He seemed like the type that would normally ask before deciding to stay at someone's house for the day.
"Yeah! I mean friends are there for each other no matter what, right?" I nodded.
"You're right."
"I know. I usually am. Now, what should we do this lovely day?"
"Um...you can hang out downstairs and I'll take a nap. Sound good?" I said, sinking back into the covers.
"Don't make me drag you downstairs Eva!" He warned.
"Yeah right! Like there is any way-" I was cut off when he picked me up from the bed and tossed me over his shoulder. "Mikey! Oh my god, put me down!" I lauged, kicking my legs. He carried me downstairs into the kitchen, and plopped me down onto the counter. "Why'd you do that?" I asked, still laughing.
"Because if I didn't, you would have wasted a perfet afternoon with me." He said simply. I smiled in agreement.
"Fair enough. So can everyone come over tonight?" I watched as a huge grin spread across Mikey's face.
"Here? In your house?"
"Fuck yeah! Jen and Austin are away, and I have the house to myself!"
"Okay, I'll send out the texts!" He pulled out his phone and started typing away. After he put his phone back in his pocket, he looked up at me.
"Now what?"
"Well if you're going to have everyone over, you might want to pick up a few things." Mikey suggested.
"So off to the store?" I asked. He nodded as I hopped off the counter and walked to the stairs.
"Where are you going?" I laughed and turned to face him.
"Mikey, I need to change if I'm going out in public! Did you see what I'm wearing?" My face blushed as he looked me up and down.
"I think you look pretty cute." He shrugged.
"Whatever." I mumbled, feeling the heat in my face grow even hotter. I skipped up the stairs into my room. After shutting the door, I dug around in my closet until I found something to wear. A tight purple tank top and my favorite skinnies went perfectly with my black beanie and matching coverse. I grabbed a wad of cash from my bag and hurried back downstairs. Mikey was waiting by the door for me.
"Everyone said they can make it."
"Even Shannon and Maria?" I asked, hoping we could all hang out together again.
"They're coming too."
"Awesome!" He laughed and pulled open the front door for me. I shot him a smile and walked past him, into the steamy air. We headed down the sidewalk, to the nearest store. Since I really had no clue where I was going, I let Mikey lead the way.
"So what exactly do we need Mikey?" He laughed.
"Um...well since everyone kinda crashes out, you might want to get a lot of coffee and something for breakfast. Frank and Gerard are taking care of the booze and the girls have the movies. I guess that just leaves something for dinner."
"Great!" We finally reached the doors of Wal-Mart. Mikey and I roamed the aisles, picking up the essentials. Toaster waffles, syrup, butter, 3 pounds of coffee, frozen pizzas, and paper towels. After we had everything, we headed for the check-out. A little old lady started scanning our items.
"Why aren't you two the cutest little couple!" She exclaimed. I started to tell her that Mikey and I were not a couple, when Mikey wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Thank you! I'm lucky to have such a great finacee!" I was too shocked to do anything but hand the woman the cash and pick up some of the bags. Mikey picked up the others and grabbed my hand.
"Have a happy honeymoon!" The woman called as we headed out of the store. Once we were outside, I turned to Mikey.
"What the fuck was that about?" I asked, squeezing his hand tighter.
"Hun, you can't confuse old people. Trust me." I laughed along with him as we walked the rest of the way back to my house. When we made it back to the front door, Mikey pulled it open.
"Welcome to your dream honeymoon Eva." I laughed and jumped inside, Mikey right behind me. After everythig had been put away, I wandered into the living room, Mikey in tow. Spending the rest of the afternoon watching horror movies with Mikey was a lot of fun, but it was nothing compared to the rest of the night.
