Part 2 to Break me!! Kurono is back in Las Noches only to find that her inner world is crumbling and she has to make a choice of who side shes on and more than her life depends on it
I limped beside Grimmjow in silence. The pain was slowly going away. The look on my sister’s face replayed in my mind, a look of pure hatred.
He said it so harshly it stung
“What… what did you think you saw… back there?”
“Well I don’t know, darn it. I saw you alone with that stupid Soul Reaper. What do you think I thought? Can’t you just dig inside my head and see for yourself?”
The words hit me like a cold wind.
“My sister attacked me. Arashi saved me. But I told him that I had chosen you and this side of the fence”
Grimmjow just kept walking. I sighed and went on in the painful silence. But no more than a few seconds after I had tried to explain myself, Ulquiorra was standing in front of me like he had been there the whole time. Ulquiorra gave me and Grimmjow a cold stare. Grimmjow’s thoughts came into my mind
“Don’t tell any one about what happened. Got that?”
“Uh… yeah. But why not?”
“Do you want to be killed?”
Good answer. Aizen might not tolerate stuff like this, I really had no idea. As we came closer to Ulquiorra my heart pounded. He was bound to see right threw it. So I pushed ahead of Grimmjow, acting like he didn’t matter to me.
“Jeez, about time this thing happened. I mean Grimmjow was driving me nuts!”
Ulquiorra gave Grimmjow a look of indifference. He just turned and walked on ahead of us without a word. I couldn't help but wonder how this whole thing was going to turn out…
I sat at the meeting table next to Luppi and Zommari. Grimmjow still wasn't allowed at the table. Luppi was sitting in his seat looking pretty beat up. We sat at the table in silence, waiting for something. So while waiting I talked to Grimmjow, who was just in the other room.
“How did the fight go?”
“Heh, I was stopped from realizing my sword, for the billionth time.”
“Sorry… you didn’t kill Ichigo… did you?”
“No, the stupid rat got away with some strange new power.”
“Yeah, darn it; it was some sort of hollow power. A mask came to his face. Blah blah blah…”
“Oh, so he’s a Visored now is he?”
I waited for hours, sitting at the table. Some of the Espada had gotten up and were walking around. I stayed sitting, laid my head on the table and slept. Suddenly someone was shaking me.
“Kurono, Aizen has called a meeting. You need to wake up”
I looked up to see Harribel’s half covered face.
“Yes, the meeting is in the next room, with the big throne. Everyone is waiting”
I stood and followed her into the next room. Aizen was sitting on his butt in a giant throne. Numerous Espada and Arrancars stood around. Grimmjow was by the far back wall. I walked over to him.
“What's going on?”
But before he could answer the big door to our left opened and in walked Ulquiorra with Orihime behind him. She had a sad look on her face. When she looked around the room her eyes fell on me.
Everyone’s eyes were on me now. Grimmjow moved in behind Orihime like he was guarding the door.
She gave me that sad confused look
“Why are you here?”
But Ulquiorra butted in
“Walk forward, Orihime”
She gave me one more look and took a few steps closer to the throne.
“Closer please, Orihime…”
Aizen proceeded to talk about why she was here, all that crud. Eventually he said something worth listening to.
“Oh I know what we should do, Orihime, demonstrate the strength of your power for us. I want you to heal Grimmjow’s left arm.”
Grimmjow’s eyes widened in surprise. Luppi felt the nerve to open his mouth and speak his doubt of her abilities
“Impossible, that’s crazy lord Aizen, it can’t be done!”
Deep down I knew she could do it. But Luppi felt he wasn't done
“Grimmjow?! Director General Tōsen turned his arm into ashes! How is she going to heal something that doesn’t exsist?! She's not a god!”
Orihime walked up to Grimmjow. Grimmjow stared down at her with an undetermined look.
She looked sad as she said her healing spell for her fairies. A yellow-orange dome formed over Grimmjow’s missing arm. Grimmjow looked at it with that uncertain face
“Now I… I reject”
“HEY! Are you listening girl!”
Luppi was really starting to annoy me
“…If you're putting on an act, in a pathetic attempt to save yourself, you might as well stop it.”
Luppi pointed at her with his right hand.
“Should I see proof that you haven’t any power, then there’s no reason, to keep someone like you…”
Grimmjow’s arm was reconstructing itself like I knew it would. Luppi made a noise to show his surprise and distress
The arm was completed; both Grimmjow and Orihime were staring at it
Grimmjow held it up and looked at it in surprise
“Wa…? HOW? This is beyond the point of healing. What sorcery is this?”
Luppi’s voice was really starting to get on my nerves
“WHAT DID YOU DO GIRL?!?!”
Then a cold voice came from the throne above us spoke
“Don’t you understand? Ulquiorra thinks it’s temporal or spatial regression. Both are intresting therories.”
Ulquiorra answered in a monotone. Luppi replied in a wine
“It can’t be… No human could have such advanced power. It’s completely IMPOSSIBLE!!”
“It is neither one, temporal or spatial…”
Everyone wated for a response
“…It rejects all forms of phenomenon…”
Azien then launched into a long explanation about her power that is not worth quoting. After a few unneed sentences he said something that gained a look of worry from Luppi
“…It knows no borders or barriers. In fact, it over steps the limmitations set by gods”
Orihime turned to Aizen in surprise and Luppi was speachless, obvioulsy worried about something. I looked at Grimmjow, who was flexing his hand while staring at it. He looked up from his new arm
Orihime looked back at him as he turned and pointed over his should to his back
“Come heal one more thing”
Orihime held up her hands and the dome reappeared, this time over Grimmjow’s scar. The same scar that covered his tattooed number 6. Luppi turned in alarm as the 6 healed.
“Just what do you think you're doing, Grimmjow?”
The dome disapeared and Grimmjow turned towards Luppi with that sadistic smile
Suddenly Grimmjow was standing in front of Luppi with his new left hand thrusted into his chest. Luppi mummbled trying to say something.
“Grimmjow… you bas…”
I rolled my eyes. Why do people around here like to throw that word around? The world may never know.
“Your days are done, goodbye, Mr. Ex-number six!”
With his right hand Grimmjow charged a large red Cero and blasted Luppi’s head off. Nothing was left except ashes and his legs that fell to the floor. Grimmjow grinned, chuckling. He lifted his hands and went into a full out fit of maniacal laughter.
More fits of laughter
“My power is back!!”
He flung his fists down in a triumphant pose
“THE SIXTH ESPADA IS GRIMMJOW AGAIN!!!!”
He continued to laugh as everyone showed their distress on their faces, minus Ulquiorra. I myself stood watching with arms akimbo. I was happy Grimmjow got his arm back but the evil laugh was a bit over bored.
I walked out of the room by a side door that lead out into a side hallway away from everyone. I heard someone follow me, but before I could turn I was grabbed from behind. I froze as someone leaned down and whispered in my right ear
“Finally I can do this”
“Grimmjow, what are you doing?”
His arms were wrapped around my stomach as he pressed his lips onto my neck. The motion sent shivers down my spine. Arashi never did anything like this…
“That’s because I’m better”
“Yeah, you are”
I turned and embraced him; he was much taller than me for some reason.
“I thought you were mad at me. Why the sudden change?”
“You weren’t the only one acting…”
“Ha! That was an act? Man I was worried”
He held me for a good few seconds before talking again
“Aizen wants you to go talk to that girl”
I pulled out of his arms
“Because she knows you I guess.”
“Whatever, show me the way. Let’s get this over with”
Grimmjow lead me on for about an hour. We finally reached a large door with Ulquiorra stand outside.
“I’ve brought Kurono to talk to the girl. Aizen’s orders”
Ulquiorra stepped aside
“Make it quick, just the women”
I opened the door and stepped inside. Orihime was sitting by the window in a new Arrancar dress. She turned to me and jumped up. Withing secounds her arms were wrapped around me and she was crying
“Oh Kurono! Did they trick you into coming here? Did they threaten your brother like they threatened Ichigo? I don’t know what to do except hope that Ichigo will be ok!”
I couldn't just push her off. She needed a friend in her time of need. So I wrapped my arms around her and let her cry into my shoulder.
“Don’t worry. Ichigo is going to be ok. But you know he wont stay away, he’s going to come after you. Do you know why he wanted to become a Soul Reaper?”
Orihime shook her head
“So he could protect his friends and his family. That includes you.”
“But if he comes…”
“Don’t worry” I whispered, I can’t let Ulquiorra hear me… “He wont die. He’ll defeat Aizen and save you…He’ll save us both”
Orihime nodded against my shoulder and squeezed me tighter. The action reawakened the pain in my midsection
I fell against Orihime as the pain swelled within me. Why did it hurt so badly all of a sudden?
Orihime sat me down on the floor
“Kurono?! What’s the matter?”
I sat leaning against Orihime in pain. I looked down at my wound and gasped in pain and surprise
“What is that!?”
The stab wound had widened and was turning black. Green ooze outlined the hole like poison.
“Kurono, what happened?!”
As I stared at the wound I realized what the ooze was. It had to be Suki’s power, a physical poison much like my mental acid. My life force was literally being drained out of me.
“Kurono, what happened!? Don’t die, please don’t die!”
Suddenly the door flung open and Grimmjow stepped in.
“What happened?! What did you do?”
Grimmjow took a threatening step toward Orihime, she shook with fear
“No, Grimm, it wasn't her… It’s Suki…”
“Yes… I said she… attacked me... AH!”
The pain was getting worse with every breath I took. Grimmjow knelt down beside me while Ulquiorra stayed in the doorway.
Before I could say anything, Orihime spoke
“Sōten Kisshun, I reject”
The fairies appeared and created the dome over my stomach. The wound slowly healed and the acid disapated. The dome vanished and I stood.
“Thank you Orihime, and remember what I said”
Orihime noded as I walked out. Even though the wound was gone, there was still a slight pain. Grimmjow followed me out.
“I'm tired. Where is the room?”
Before Grimmjow answered Ulquiorra spoke
“Aizen has prepared a room for you down the hall.”
“Well I don’t want that room.”
I walked off in the opposite direction of where he was indicating. Grimmjow shrugged and followed me.
“Where is your room?”
Grimmjow smiled, grabbed me, and threw me over his left shoulder.
“HEY! Stop it, put me down. I can walk!”
Grimmjow flash stepped down several hallways, until he was standing in his doorway. He sat me down and I was dizzy.
“Moron… Uh, everything is spinning”
“Then maybe you should lay down”
Grimmjow grabbed me again. Suddenly I was laying on the bed with his arms around me. I freaked.
“Let go of me!”
I tried to claw my way off the bed but he was too strong, he simply pulled me back to him even closer than before
“Just relax, go to sleep”
“How can I sleep with out a cover?”
I really shouldn’t have opened my mouth. Grimmjow pulled the cover from the end of the bed up to my chin, covering us both.
“How about that?”
I grunted as I tried to pull away from him
“I cant sleep with you holding me!”
“Why not? You did before”
I rolled my eyes
“That’s because I didn’t know, now I wont beable to relax. Let go and get out of the bed”
“But it’s my bed”
“Fine! I’ll get out”
I tried to get out of his grasp but he held on. Man he wasn't going to take no for an answer…
“No I’m not. And how much of a gentlemen would I be if I made you sleep on the couch?”
“Since when did you care about being a gentlemen? You're being childish. Now let go of me! Don’t make me scream.”
Grimmjow put his hand over my mouth.
“I wont let you scream”
I growled in frustration and stuck my tounge out and licked his hand
“Now that’s childish”
He pulled his hand away and wipped it on the cover.
“Just go to sleep”
“I can’t, not with you in the bed”
He sighed but didn’t move. His breathing started to slow
I waited for a good few secounds
“Great, you're alseep aren’t you?”
Still no answer
I laided my head on the pillow, not planning on sleeping. But as always things never go acording to plan.
