FicWad: fresh-picked original and fan fiction

The redhead inhaled deeply the smoke of his cigarette and looked away dreamy. The beautiful lights of the city in that night made him smile as he finished his cigarette. Axl opened the Marlboro pack looking for another one, but the pack was empty. He sighed. He whispered, even if he should have shouted for Slash to hear :
"Saul? ..."
Fortunately, the brunette heard him somehow so he came on the balcony, next to Axl, smiling mysterious and saying :
"You called me? …"
"Mmm… yeah, I called you… Even if I didn't expect any response…"
"Oh, it was a rhetorical call." Slash chuckled.
Axl turned serious, saying :
"Anyway, got any cigarettes?"
Slash searched in his pocket, opening a pack of Marlboro. He replied :
"Maybe I've got… Maybe I've not..."
"Yeah, okay, whatever." Axl said getting a little pissed.
"I've got only one. And… I guess it's all yours." replied Slash, giving Axl his last cigarette .
"You sure it's okay?"
"Yeah…"
Axl lit the cigarette as the brunette went inside the hotel room, then he came back with two glasses in his hand and (obviously) a Jack Daniels bottle.
"Want some?" Slash winked.
"Well, I guess… Yeah, gimme."
"A toast…"
" ? "
"… for our friendship."
Axl smiled :
"Yeah, for our friendship."
They both looked away, toasting on a hotel balcony, somewhere in the U.S.A., sometime in the '80s…
