okay... sorry for taking ages to update... internet related stuff. Enjoy!

Gerard’s P.O.V

I’m so happy that Frank is finally here. And it seems like he’s liking Milo.

“W-O-W! Awesomeness is a cup... almost as good as coffee, Donna. Almost.” Frank said.

“Whatever.” Donna said as she drained the last of her cup full. “How about some pies for lunch? I have veggie pies if you want Frankie.”

“Groovy.” Frank replied.

“Sure. Do you want help?” I asked.

Donna thought for a moment. “Can you turn on the oven? I'll dig the pies out of the freezer.” Donna walked over to the small fridge and opened up the door at the top. A moment later she emerged holing a yellow packet.

I walked over to the oven and looked at it for a moment. Three knobs... which do I turn?

“Uhh...” I started which made Donna laugh. She pointed at the first one.

“That’s for the time; the second is for the temperature and the third is for the fan.” Donna explained and turned each knob to where she wanted them to go. “You need all three of them to be turned for the oven to work.” Fuck, they make these things overly complicated.

“Can I help?” Frank asked, not wanting to be left out.

“No... You and Gerard can sit down and catch up. I can handle this from here.” Donna said as she gently pushed me towards Frank. “Go into the lounge room.”

I was a bit worried about what Donna could do when we were out of the room, but she had been living here for a few months alone and has done okay until now.

Donna’s P.O.V

Maybe I should have re-worded what I just said... or made it sound not as if I wanted them out of the room. Gerard looked a bit worried, but he still walked into the lounge room with Frank. I needed a few minutes to myself. I wasn’t used to having people to stay with me... Jace used to stay here overnight occasionally, but I had gotten used to silence over the last few weeks.

I put the pies on a try and shoved them in the oven. It only took a minute to do, but I sat down and closed my eyes, thinking.

I laughed to myself. I couldn’t believe that I was going to be eating a veggie pie... meat pies all the way for me. But last time I went to Tuckerbag, there weren’t any meat ones, and I don’t like chicken so it was the vegetable ones... lucky wasn’t it? It was almost as if something was preparing me for this... I shoved the thought aside. Just luck, that’s all it was.

I sat there for another ten minutes before getting up to check the pies. They still had a while to go, so I decided to go and see what the boys were doing.

Frank’s P.O.V

I sat down on the small black leather couch next to Gerard. I looked around and noticed all the paintings on the walls. It figures that Gerard would crush on someone who loves art as much as him.

“So buddy, why the hell are we staying in this town? Why the hell did you get a plane ticket for Nyngan?” I asked Gerard.

“I dunno... I asked the lady at the desk for a plane ticket to somewhere far away when I landed in Sydney, and the first place I saw on the list she gave me was Nyngan, so I went there. I got to Nyngan late yesterday afternoon, hired a car and drove out of town coming to an intersection. Cobar was closer than Bourke and I didn’t know how long it would take and I didn’t want to be driving in the dark. And after being warned about kangaroos and cars hitting them all the time, I didn’t want to risk that. I got to Cobar and saw that the next town was three hundred-something-odd kilometres away, so I drove around town to see what there was. Then the car died outside this house so here I am!” Gerard explained.

“okay... but why did you want to come to Australia? I know that you wanted to escape the fans and the crazy shit back home, but we all knew that this would happen.” I replied. The... everything back home was getting annoying, but I could cope. Why did I come then? Well I wasn’t gonna let Gerard have an adventure in a different country without me!

“I don’t know... nothing back home seemed real anymore, while down here, reality has a firmer hold on me. I seemed like the right thing to do, as if something was pushing me to do this. Oh well, we’re here now, so let’s just see what happens.” Gerard grinned at the last part. I rolled my eyes.

“What about Mikey? Does he know? He’s your brother and he looks up to you. If he sees you running away, god knows what’ll happen. Ray? What about him? He’s also your best friend. Bob? He’s only new and I don’t think that this will seem good to him, plus he’s also our friend. Fuck Matt...” I trailed off as Gerard shook his head.

“No... none of them know.” Gerard replied.

I groaned. “Gerard...” I started to say.

“Frank, I know. I should have told them, but they would have stopped me. I knew that you wouldn’t. I'll... I'll tell them soon.” Gerard cut me off.

“When?”

“I don’t know. Later when I figure out what to say.” Gerard crossed his arm, motioning “case closed.” I sighed, then decided to change topic.

“Donna’s kinda hot don’t you think?” I said grinning, waiting for his reaction.

“Fucking eyes off her.” Gerard replied quickly. HA, I knew it! He totally digs her.

“Fine... but next hot girl we see, I get okay?” I said.

“what do you mean ‘get’? I don’t have any girl at the mo.” Gerard said quickly.

“Stop it Gee, I know that you’re totally crushing on Donna. She’s an artist like you, and I knew that you’d click with her.” I argued. He was going to admit it and I was going to be right.

“Fine... I do like Donna. Happy?” I was about to jump up and run around with my arms in the air shouting out “VICTORY!” But I didn’t.

“What makes her so special to you.” I asked instead. I wanted to know, coz he’s only know her for a day.

“Donna’s been through heaps of shit just in the last few months. She needs someone there for her, someone who’ll always stay with her. Someone she can trust...” Gerard trailed off.

“And you want to be that someone? Gee, are you even planning on going back to Jersey?” I asked.

Gerard shrugged his shoulders, just as Donna walked in. This girl was cute, but her timing was good – to Gerard that is. Saving him from answering.

Gerard’s P.O.V

Donna walked into the room just as I had to answer Frank. Thank goodness for her timing.

“The pies are almost ready.” Donna said as she sat on the ground in front of us.

“Why don’t you sit on the couch with us?” I asked.

“There isn’t enough room and I'm not gonna sit on you guys.” She replied. Shit, there goes my plan. Wait... was it even a plan? Maybe I came up with it subconsciously...

“Donna, why’d you take so long? It doesn’t take ten minutes to put three pies in an oven. What were you doing?” Frank asked.

“Don't worry, I was just tiding up.” That was so a lie. There was nothing to tidy up, she’d done all that this morning.

“You guy done talking?” Donna asked. “If not, I'll just go into my study while the pies finish off...”

“No, you’re alright. We were done.” I said, maybe a little to quickly.

“Okay. Well, do you want to help me get out the plates?” Donna asked as she got up and slowly drifted back toward the kitchen.

“Sure.” Said Frank as he jumped off the couch as followed Donna into the kitchen. I was close behind them.
