Nothing works like it's supposed to
These damn electric hearts
Power outage, feelings surge
I lose all control
Tears fall to spark electrocution
I'm fried
Emotionally and mentally smoked out
Just set me out on the curb
Where the rest of the human rejects lie
Just singing for their lives to break
Even further than they are
After all
Our cracks already show
And in the end
I'll pray for you to reach out
Cry, "Don't go"
And I'll wave
So obsolete
With a sad smile and tears down my face
Traveling to where, I pray,
Is truly a better place
And in whatever place I go
I smile
For you never learned my secrets
And you never had to know
And I never had to tell you
And my secrets never hurt you
I never hurt you
I hurt
