To face the stark blank sky beyond the ridge,
Knowing their feet had come to the end of the world"
LORNA NI IONNRACHTAIGH, HOLY SHIT!!! WILFRED OWEN REFERENCE! AHHHHH! "SPRING OFFENSIVE"!!! HOLY SHIT, THAT'S LIKE ONE OF MY FAVORITE POEMS FROM HIS WORK!!! YOU ARE EPIC HONEY GIRL! YOU FUCKING WIN AT LIFE!!! AFTERLIFE TOO!!!
Katherine, if you see this review, those lines of that poetry are supposed to bother you. That poem is based off one of the battles at Ypres in Belgium during the first world war!
Oh, and seriously, good luck honey! Good luck with your education and with wherever your life takes you my dear! Thank you so much for all your gracious compliments and support on my writing as well. I can't even begin to express my gratitude! It has been such an honor knowing you.
USA! FTW! Maybe, after my pen name gets big, I'll look you "literary whores" up. :)
(#) AdnarimSmada 2011-07-22 07:07:16 PMOh, and by the way my dear Katherine, it's conspiracy theory time!
WE BOTH REFERENCED THE SAME POEM OF WILFRED OWEN'S IN OUR WORK!!! IT'S A SIGN! A SIGN FROM HEAVEN!!! HOLY SHIT THAT'S ONE CRAZY CONENCIDENCE!!! I WAS SERIOUSLY SPEECHLESS WHEN I READ THOSE FEW LINES FROM "SPRING OFFENSIVE" AT THE BOTTOM THERE! JUST WHOA! FREAKY MAN.
Maybe Lorna was trying to tell us something... I don't know...
That is all.
- Sorry no long review, took my pain meds kinda out of it. One thing that I've notice a little change in Frank's behavior is he is starting to cuss a little and not be all shy about it. He said shit when he couldve said crap, how he would have said a few chapters ago.
Yea high as a motherfucking kite. Love you all and I can't wait to read the next chapter. No proff reading this shit.
(#) lambchop101 2011-07-22 09:58:26 PMMy God, I just freaking cried at that chapter. I never cry when I'm erading. Maybe it doesn't help that I'm listening to sad songs but that chapter was so damn emotional and it completely tore me to pieces. I'm one of those readers that stays in the shadows, but this story is so freaking brilliant I had to say something.
