His Eyes (One Shot)
5 ReviewsMeh. One Shot. did this while I was bored. Got inspiration from a chainmail XD It's about Gerard and Frank. :)
This story is a Frerard. One of my first XD . I got Inspiration from a chainmail I saw on Facebook (wtf, right?) Well, here it is!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It all began when they were little. When they first met.
"Hi, my name is Gerard." said a then ten-year old Gerard. He was introducing himself to a kid who just transferred to his school. That kid sat alone at a round table in the corner of the room with two bags of skittles. "I'm Frank, Can I call you Gee?" He replied, he felt as if they were kindred spirits; both of them outsiders in their class.
"Sure! Can I call you Frankie, then? I really like your jacket, it looks cool." Gee said happily, taking a seat next to Frank. "I've never been called Frankie before, it sounds nice. Sit with me!" For that whole day, they hung out together, no one could separate them. They walked home together after discovering that they were next-door neighbors.
"I think I like your personality the best." Gee said as they were walking home. "Really? That's awesome. Do you wanna hang out tomorrow after school? It's Friday and my parents don't want me to help them set up the house. They think I'll break something." Frank laughed. "Yeah, we should! Come by my house anytime, then!" Gerard smiled. He finally had a friend to talk to other than Ray and Mikey.
As Gerard was going in, Frank yelled. "Gee!" He turned to look at Frank's face, a big grin plastered on it. "Yeah?" Gee asked.
"I think your eyes are beautiful."
~Many Years later, Teenage years. both guys are in high school~
"Gerard!" Frank yelled as he hugged Gee from behind and twirled him. Frank found it funny that despite his shortness, he could pick up Gerard as if he were a feather. Gee laughed and kissed his boyfriend's lips. just a quick "hello" peck on the lips. They hadn't seen each other since lunch, which was nearly four hours ago, but to them, it was two hours too long. They weren't as clingy as every other couple at school, but after two hours of not seeing each other, they HAD to meet up somewhere in school.
"Frankie!" Gee smiled. Gerard wasn't much of a smiler. He only smiled when he was around Ray, Mikey, Frank, or anything involving Frank. Frank was just like that, you just had to smile when you were around him. He had that effect on you, especially on Gerard.
"So, I had a dream last period about us, Mikey, and Ray in a band making awesome music. You think we can do it?" Frank asked, looking at Gerard as they walked hand-in-hand to a tree, their tree. to the tree where they shared their first kiss together, where they first began dating. On the tree, there was a heart carved into it, with Frank and Gerard's names carved on the inside. On the other side of the tree, it had the same thing, but instead of each others names, it said "Skittles + Coffee" . It was a joke at the time, but it meant a lot to the two teenagers.
"That does sound like it could work, but why would you have me in the band? What the fuck would I do? All I can do is act cute and I can't even do that!" Gee exclaimed. Frank giggled at Gerard, he absolutely loved him when he acted like this. in fact, he loved Gerard and whatever he did. "Why are you giggling?" he asked, to which Frank replied,"Silly Gee, you would be the singer! you have an amazing voice. and you're right, you wouldn't act cute." Gerard frowned at that. Frank smiled even more and kissed his forehead. "You'd act Sassy!"
Gee grinned,"I don't act sassy, I am the definition of Sassy. just look it up in the dictionary and you can see my picture!" The boys laughed at Gee's comment, both clearly happy that they were together. After a few hours, they both went home, only to talk to each other hours later through their windows.
"Okay, well, I gotta go to sleep." Gee faked a yawn. "Gee, I know you're not gonna sleep, you're gonna draw." Frank grinned. Gee couldn't help but smile; one was because he knew it was true, but mostly because Frank looked so adorable grinning. "Well, I'm gonna sleep." Frank sighed. Gee was closing his window as Frank said, "Oh, Gee?" he stopped closing his window, immediately opened it up, and stuck his messy black-haired head out. "Yes, Frankie?"
"Have I ever told you that your eyes are Beautiful?" Frank questioned, obviously knowing the answer. Gerard smirked.
"Every morning when you see me and every night when you leave me."
~ Years later, they are both young adults in their twenties ~
Gerard was in the music shop, looking for a mic that was cheap, but worked well. his old mic was damaged and hated him with a passion. As he wandered through the aisles, he spotted a guitar. it was white and had a certain aura to it. It's perfect. It basically screams "Buy me! Frank would want it!" Gerard thought. He looked at the price tag. It wasn't cheap, but he just had to buy it.
looking at the guitar case in his hand, Gee dialed Frank's number. Pick up, Pick up, Pick up!!! "Gee?" Frank's voice came from the phone. "Frankie! If you owned a different guitar than the one you have right now, what would it look like?" Gee could practically feel Frankie smile as he described it.
"Basically, it would be black and white and I'd name it Pansy." Gerard, if you hadn't been so sure that Frank loves you, then he definitely will now. Gerard mentally high-fived himself and the awesome work he did. "Why are you asking me this?" Frank asked. "Come by our tree, I'll be waiting to give you a surprise." Frank could tell Gerard was excited. "Okay, I'll be there in about half an hour." Gee squealed, making Frank smile at how much he loved Gee. Suddenly, he remembered. "Hey, Gee!" Frank practically shouted through the phone. "Hey, Frankie!" Gee yelled with the exact same intensity Frank had.
"You're eyes are beautiful. Just know that I will always love you. I'll be there soon." and he hung up. Gerard never knew why Frank always said that to him. Of course, it's quite flattering to be said that, he even asked Frank why he said it so often. "Just to let you know that you're eyes are amazing and that if anything were to happen to me, like if I ever moved again, I will always remember you by your eyes." Frank had said one day many years ago.
It was about two thirty in the afternoon, at least an hour since he had talked to Frank. He looked at the guitar case next to him and the ring in his hand. he bought it a year ago, but he was just too nervous to ask Frank to marry him. Ever since, he carried it with him everywhere he went in case he got the courage. For some reason, today he felt like he should say those four important words that can change a persons' life.
Suddenly, a call came from his phone. Hoping it's Frank, he looks at the caller ID, only to see it was Frank's mother calling. He picked it up. "Hello, Mrs. Iero." Gerard said nicely, but the kind voice he expected didn't come. instead, a voice full of sorrow and agony came though the phone.
"Gerard! Oh my God!" She wailed. "Are you okay?" he asked, growing worried. He could barely understand her. "Gerard, Oh... He... Driving accident... Frank's... Hospital..." Those were the only words she had to say. "I'll be right there!" He cried. "Hurry! I need you here, Frank needs you here!" Gerard hung up, and did what came first to his mind: Put the guitar in the trunk of his car, the ring in his pocket and drive to the hospital.
Gerard got there in record time. he frantically ran up to the desk, but before he could talk, the lady on the other side must have read his mind... or been told by Frank's mother. "He's on the second floor, room 143. The doctor is outside of the room waiting for you." He ran up the stairs (Gerard decided that the elevator was too long of a wait) and straight to where he saw Frank's mother and a doctor on a bench.
He hugged his future mother-in-law and kissed her cheek. "How is he? How is Frankie doing?" he practically yelled at the doctor. "Mr. Way, Frank got into a terrible Car accident, he is stable now and can be visited, but I am afraid to say he is suffering through a highly advanced stage of Amnesia. He knows how to talk, how to form correct sentences, his name, and where he is at, but he doesn't remember anyone. Not even his mother." He couldn't help it; Gerard got the ring out of his pocket and held it in the palm of his hand, tears streaming down his eyes.
"You were going to propose today?" Frank's mother questioned. "Yes... After a year of waiting, I decided to propose today. Then this happened and... and... Oh, God Frank!" Gerard sobbed into her shoulder. "It's all my fault! I asked him to come to Our Tree to give him a guitar and the ring, but then this happens!" She 'shh'd' him, like someone would to a crying toddler. "It is not your fault, Gerard. It just happened. it is in the past, we have to move on with what we've got. It's just the hardest part of living. Now go into that room and see Frankie."
Gerard did as he was told. Entering the room, he saw Frank, lying on a hospital bed asleep. He walked to the side of the bed and sat down, still crying. "Please wake up..." Gerard whispered, holding onto Frank's hand. As if he had heard him, Frank slowly turned his head around and stared at Gerard. What he said next made Gerard cry, love, and understand him even more.
"I Don't Know who you are, but You're Eyes are Beautiful."
SO how was this story? Good? Horrible? I was crying while writing this for some strange reason, it must be because when I'm writing, I picture the events I'm writing in my mind. I'm still writing Nothing Is As It Seems..., but I had to write this down when I thought of it. I start school on the 15th of this moth, so sadly, I will have to update less frequently (ha. Like I even update frequently) I'll try to update ASAP ! Hope you liked my One-Shot ! So Long and Good Night/Day ! And Don't forget to #SINGitforLeslie! :)
