JKR gave us a snapshot of their lives long after the Final Battle. But what was it like two years later after all of the kids have finally entered Hogwarts? All fun and happiness? Maybe... maybe no...
- The concluding chapter was well-written but overall not as satisfying as the first two. I think the problem, so to speak, was that the first two chapters had twists and surprises but the third was all logical consequences of the earlier events. That's hardly a problem; it's just that I started the chapter expecting a twist or two.
Overall, good story. Entertaining and satisfying. And the two heroes live happily ever after. (After Hermione's parents wire Molly's mouth shut, at any rate.)
Author's responseYeah, sadly, last chapters tend to be that way -- at least for me.
And the hero did finally get the girl -- which was the whole point of this.
