Frankie steals a guitar, but is sadly disappointed when he shows it to his buddies.
"This is awesome! I'm going to be in the band! Just think of all the girls that will be chasing after me once they hear and see me play. Hopefully Jackie will be one of them? No way. I've only known the girl for what, 3... 4 hours? And I only talked to her for a short time at lunch, and I'm already crazy about her. Well who could blame me? She's smart, funny, attractive, and I'm pretty sure single. If me and her go out she could watch me rehearse and stuff. That'd be so cool!" thought Frankie. Then before he knew it he was standing right in front of the music store's door. He gulped then walked in.
He pushed open the door and gladly noticed there weren't any other customers there. Just one old dude standing behind the counter that he hadn't seen here before.
"Easy," thought Frankie. He walked slowly up to the counter and sat his case beside him.
"Excuse me sir." said Frankie as politely as he could to the man.
"What do you want kid?" huffed the man.
"Ummm I was wondering if I could have an application to work here? I absolutely love this place." said Frankie.
The old man just nodded and went into the back room.
When the man rounded the corner, Frankie walked behind the counter and grabbed the nearest guitar he could reach as quick as he could and stuffed it in the case. Just after that the man came back.
"Here you go." said the man. Frankie took the application and shook the man's hand. Then Frankie walked out like nothing happened.
Once outside, Frankie took a small leap of joy.
"Yes! What the fuck now huh?!" shouted an overjoyed Frankie with a couple of weird glances from people walking by. He just shrugged it off and started walking quickly back to Rick's place.
"What's taking him so long?" asked Sam.
"Man he's only been gone 30 minutes dude chill!" said Rick. And with that the garage door slammed open and in walked in a very anxious Frankie. Frankie walked up to Rick breathing rather hard.
"Dude, I... I got it." said Frankie.
"Well let's see it!" said Rick.
Frankie knelt down and opened up the case with trembling hands. Rick and Sam peered over with grins on their faces, but when the case opened their grins quickly turned to frowns.
"Well? What do you guys think?...." asked Frankie.
"Dude, what is this?" asked Rick.
"It's a bass. You know that I stole to play in this band? Don't you have eyes?" said Frankie.
"Oh I have eyes alright, and I can clearly see that this isn't a bass." said Rick.
"Wh .. what do you mean? Of course it's a bass!" said a now flustered and worried Frankie.
"Dude, this is a guitar. See? It's got 6 strings. Not 4. Weren't you paying attention?" asked Rick
"I... I wasn't really thinking or paying attention. I just grabbed it! Well so Mister "I Think I Know Everything Because I Can Tell the Difference Between A Guitar and A Bass", what the fuck am I supposed to do now?! asked an angry and disappointed Frankie.
"Guess you're just gonna have to play bass on a guitar for a little while." said Rick.
"Great. Just fuckin' great. Not only is this embarrassing but it totally fuckin sucks! Jesus Christ why am I such an idiot?! Now i wish I would've chosen to go to the movies with Jackie and her friends," thought Frankie.
