OMG A NEW CHAPTER! :O
0 ReviewsSORRY ABOUT THE LONG-AZ WAIT!!! I HOPE IT'S WORTH IT!
Donna's P.O.V
The guys stayed in the bathroom with they're puppies. Gerard wanted to help, but I turned it down. I needed to focus. Once my thoughts drifted to Jace, they stuck there. They were pissing me off. They were making it difficult to chop potatoes without chopping off my fingertip.
Jace, hate, kill, hurt... I walked over and turned on the radio on the kitchen windowsill.
"Good evening, you're on Triple J and the time is 6:32PM..." Rose, the presenter stated.
Music cleared my thoughts and I got lost in the bass beat of some electronic song that came on. I couldn't help but bop to the beat as I was cooking.
In about 20 minutes, potatoes were in the oven to roast, I prepared the veggies: carrots (yum), broccoli (super-omega yum), zucchini (YUCK! but was cheap and I needed it) and cabbage (grown-up Brussels sprouts). Everything was in the sink to be washed, and I was thinking about getting drinks when a familiar guitar riff to the start of a song was playing. 3 second later, Frank rushed into the kitchen and started to play the air guitar.
"This is my favourite band," He said with a grin. I couldn't help but join in. After 26 seconds of the song starting, Gerard himself walked in, singing.
"Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say," Gerard was grinning, "I never want to let you down or have you go, its better off this way!"
At the chorus, Frank and I joined in for back-up. The in between the chorus and the 2nd verse, Gerard said "C'mon, Donna, sing it!"
I stated singing, but I noticed that he left me to sing by myself while he and Frank to back-up.
For the rest of the song, we were all dancing around the kitchen, singing together. As the song faded, the radio presenter came on.
"That was I'm Not Okay (I Promise) by My Chemical Romance, and before them..." Yeah Rosie, like We all didn't know.
"Well, that was fun," stated Frank as he went to get a glass of water.
"Yeah, thanks for the private performance guys." I said, sitting on the bench.
"And thank you for being our guest vocalist, "Gerard said, "You truly were good."He added with a shy smile.
AWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! I screamed in my head. That coming from Gerard was a high complement for me. A complete random could saw that he would worship the ground I walked on and it wouldn't compare to Gerard saying that I was a 'good singer'. Was I having a fan-girl moment? Yes. Yes I was.
Frank's P.O.V
That was FUN! Normally, I would probably walk over to Gerard and dance around him or something while performing. Maybe even kick him again, but in Donna's house... didn't feel right. Plus Gerard was right in there with Donna, as close as he could be without touching her. If there was any doubt of wether he really did like her, it was all gone, especially after he went a little pink after giving Donna a compliment.
"Gee, is steak okay for dinner?" Donna asked Gerard.
"Yeah-huh. That's fine if you're alright with it." He replied as sat on the bench next to her.
"Cool," She replied and got up to walk to the fridge. I wanted to point at Gerard and shout "REJECTED!" as she did that. But, deciding against it, I settled for a giggle-fit instead.
"What?"Gerard asked, and I shook my head and chocked back the giggles. Unsuccessfully.
Donna paused to watch me go into high school-girl-mode before pulling a slab of dead cow out of the fridge. Poor cow.
I opened my mouth to say something about the mistreatment of animals that go to the slaughter, but I decided against it. I was a guest, and maybe Australia did things differently. To take my mind off things, I went over to the sink.
"I'll wash and dry, 'kay, Donna?" I said as I turned on the tap.
'Sure that's okay?" Donna asked, to which I nodded.
"When's dinner gonna be ready?" Asked Gerard.
"Dunno. When the potatoes are nearly done, I'll chuck on the rest." Donna replied. "Until then... What do you wanna do?"
"When I say 'Doctor', you say..." Gerard chanted and trailed off, waiting for an answer.
"Who!" Donna responded immediately. "Time for the telly, then." Donna connected the dots. Gerard-boy wanted to get his sci-fi hit.
I started to dry the dishes now, and listened to the sounds of Donna putting on the Doctor Who DVD. Then she walked out of the room and kept going to the back door.
"Uh, Donna, the T.V is that way," I stated.
"Yeah, but I didn't get around to cleaning my tools."She replied.
"Oh." Working at the mine as an apprentice electrician, you would be expected to have tools. And considering the state she was in when she came home, Donna's tools would probably be dirty-as.
Done in the kitchen, I joined Gerard on the couch and watched an episode of Doctor Who until Donna came and called us out for dinner. Walking back into the kitchen, I thought about what a day this was. Fun, crazy and sad... Who knows what will happen tomorrow? Well, a phone call to Mikey, at least. We didn't today, so I think Mikes is gonna be mad. But then again, we did say "tomorrow" but not who's tomorrow, seeing as it was tomorrow today for us, but when we called Gerard's brother, it was early morning for him. So "tomorrow" night for Mikey would be our morning tomorrow. If any of that made sense, coz it vaguely did in my mind.
